[Guide] theflightyellz's guide to fakes and searching.
Well, part of Japanese is actually made out of Chinese symbols. Like on Basalt's box it says in chinese symbols: The heaviest ____* in history.
*(that was in japanese)

Some Kanji has come to have slightly different meaning in Japanese compared to what the same or similar symbols mean in Chinese ...
Alright you win, I give up.

I know that there are some Seaborg 2 recolours. I've seen red and dark blue versions. Never seen a Gaia Dragoon V recolour. But, I would say those two beys are fake versions.
yeah..i thought so..just need some confirmation...never saw a green one before..but the yellow gaia dragoon v is obviusly fake...

Yes it is. You could obviously see the Takara Tomy sign. Another thing is, it is made for a Coro Coro Artist (Amirite). On April's fools day. Haha.

Thast really silly of you to ask for fakes on a thread which doesnt like fakes..but in India you dont need to ask anyone for fakes...we get fake beys almost everywhere in India these days
The answer should be obvious: Ebay.
But generally, they're no cheaper than real ones... Still, if you wanna spend money on lower quality stuff... go ahead...

I am quite sure that you can have a general rule that if something seems very inexpensive, you automatically have to suspect that it can be fake though. If something is relatively expensive, you can assume that it is real in most cases.
Yeah, for rare beys, that's true. For normal beys though, they're not that different.
But yes, if it looks too good to be true, it probably is. That's a general rule for life, and extra-applicable to ebay.

Or you can just be lucky and get something on the super cheap. I mean, I never thought I'd be able to get a Counter Leone from the Japanese NDS game for $15 including shipping.
The main thing you have to do with eBay is see if they say the bey is a Takara Tomy one. Personally, I avoid all eBay sales that don't say this, even if the photo shows a real bey. If they don't tell me it is Takara Tomy in the description of the item, I ain't buying it.
I only do this because if it does say it is a Takara Tomy bey in the description, but I get sent a fake, it is super easy to get the money back from them.

The best way to get the real deal, and cheap on ebay, is the Korean ones. You can find a seller selling two of them on the same auction for a great price that won't empty your wallet.
Example:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Metal-Fight-Beyblade...3cb56b756c
13.50 + 10.00 shipping
For 2 authentic TakaraTomy Beys, that is an excellent deal.
If you find an auction that shows a picture of just the bey itself and a TakaraTomy logo above it, it could still be a fake. Always make sure the auction you want shows the official packaging. If not, then ask the seller for an actual picture of the package so you're for sure knowing if it is fake or not.
it says Sonokong and TakaraTomy on the packaging, which is the real deal.
