Google is helpful ... I was just trying to find where Omega12 had found this "Tornado Battlers" information.

Possibly counting the Faceoff Sets, who knows. Considering there are only approximately fourteen new Beyblades in the second season, that might work.

That's the same amount that was released this season (give or take a couple).

EDIT: Kai-V, I found all of my info from youtube videos. I was able to find one video that was not posted, and that one had the Tornado Battler name in it.

Update :

The Extreme Top System (XTS) includes three types of tops : the Tornado Battlers, which are the insanely tall and apparently heavy spinning tops; the Electro Battlers, with LED light; and the IR Spin Control.

All three things which will be banned not only from our tournaments, but also theirs ...


Fortunately press does say that there are twenty-one new Beyblades (assortments) part of the Metal Masters series, it is just sad that Hasbro does not advertise them at all.

The centres of the Triple Battle Set stadium are also called "customizable cores", by the way.

So they`re pretty much useless?

No, there are never clear release dates with Hasbro ... That has not changed.

I'm actually very surprised we haven't gotten full coverage of their line. A bunch of outlets have already posted galleries, and include the Marvel Universe toyline, which is what Metal Masters is situated with, but not Beyblade at all.

When my friends go unconcious the first thing I do is drag them to my house and make them a beyblade!

My WD is too worn to be used legally, so I'll just beat up the rest of my Earth Aquila and send it to Hasbro so I can get a new one for free.

Hmm, some interesting comments by Hasbro answering an investor question about the longevity and potential of Metal Fusion:

A couple of questions on Beyblade. Last time you had the property you did $300 million and obviously you're scrambling and Brian I think you mentioned by mid-year you'd catch up. Could it be that big again, number one?

I'll start with the first question about Beyblade and you guys know the numbers of what we did last time on Beyblade when it was out in the market. And as we first got started, you know, no one wants to believe that we and our partners in that line could make lightning strike twice but I think we have. What that means in volumetric terms I'm not going to comment on specifically but I will tell you that around the world the excitement is there and the kids are really loving this product. The show is being distributed now in 44 countries. We had 22 countries in the fall of 2010. We are short of product right now. We are running to catch up and we do believe we'll catch up about mid-year. But the good news is we're not just going to ship all the same products. For the fall, I don't know if I mentioned it, we have a whole new line of electronic tops. So again completely re-imagining and reinventing, I think we learned some things from the last time on Beyblade was that where we need to do more re-imagination and re-invention more quickly. And so, we're going to be doing that and going forward. I can't give you a number but certainly we're all very excited about Beyblade is going thus far.
