General Hasbro BEYBLADE:Metal Fury/Shogun Steel/Beyblades Legends -FALL 2014 [HOBBY]

I wonder if something is in fact happening over at hasbro then. Layoffs are never a good sign. As insignifigant as this may seem, it could symbolize something larger...

How come they get long ripcords? ;(
Dang thats harsh, they really cant screw up this....
Why do all those Metal Fury Bey's have a B number? (Except for BB-P01)
No they dont EDIT: Hope! Hope! for epic hasbro beyblades

wut

That's not very exclusive to YTV then is it? I'd grab one, but given my age I'd probably be grabbed by the cops for showing up at a non-WBO tournament.

That's Hasbro's board game division. They've been struggling for a few years now, but the rest of the company is very strong, and if you read that report, very rich, like $4+ billion in revenue last year rich.
to save time i have made a list of pros and cons about metal fury its up to you guys to determine your final answer

Pros: Beys being released that were once unobataibable (i.e vulcan horuseus, nightmare rex) and said beys not having paint to make them better for in game testing, and printed faces on fan faviorites (Fox)

Now the Cons: No mode changing, Lack of parts faithful to the bey, No 4D bottoms, Lack of PC frame, most likely no metal shavings in the clear wheel for that (4d look) And last but not least Basteridaztion of the beys we hold dear by recycling reused and might i add over use parts such as WB SF Etc.

I know im gonna get warned for this if so I can understand you get it we hate metal fury BUT theres a light ahead of this toilet tunnel we get mercury anubis most likely (If they don't screw that up!) I mean where did it go wrong? Was it the budget? Was it the lay offs? was it copyright? I don't know and I don't care at this point im going to get TT/Sonokong anyway so problem solved on that part but what grinds my gears is that Hasbro is doing What Spinmaster did to Bakugan and If you don't know what i mean well ask me cause its a long explanation! TL;DR im mad i got reasons to be mad there are some good things to this

Edit: why would they release Derpy beyblades
They just don't know what went wrong!
Well,if those are the final versions,I gotta tell you: They are soooo ugly.
And also, different molds = different results! So we might have a suprise.
Its not BB cause it are no 4d beys...
Hasbro created there own wheelz...

Standing carp Ovation

Guys, you really don't know yet, these wheels could actually be better than the originals, and I'm really interested to see what they do with phantom and duo.

We all know it's a really weird and probably very poor decision, we've had three pages of it. But, you're really not adding anything to the conversation by complaining at this point. Now, you should all try to make the best of it that you can, if you are limited to Hasbro beys.

Well, I see the optimism in your post there, and an upgrade to the performance of the Hasbro counterparts of 4D parts may really cheer me up. But at the same time, I liked 4D only for the Mode Changes. I never really cared about their competitiveness, you know... (Its a different thing that I'd still like to have a TH170, but that too, is not because how competitive it is, its because I love that color, and I also have never owned a height changing track. I know CH120 is obtainable, and also useful, but I do not want to invest into a faulty track, you know. Not to mention that the color is awful...)

As it is we are only able to get one tournament a year. I really wanted to get those 4Ds, and atm, 4D beys seem to hold more value for me than any rare HMS or Plastic bey...
Not to mention that most of the ebayers would get their prices up for these TT 4Ds...

It is also true that there is no point in cribbing, as what is lost, is lost.
Hasbro might have had a reason for this, but of course we don't know what 'tis.
For some reason I actually think that the packaging is to blame. Dumb thought, but I still think that Hasbro was too lazy to have a new design of their packaging to accommodate the 4D bottoms, and just resorted to replacing them with the conventional tips and tracks, so that they need not make new packages... Tired

I would have still lived without 4D bottoms, but Mode Change-less Metal Wheels is seriously disheartening...

Atm, I just want to persuade someone to get me a PayPal account so that I can get the 4Ds.

Clonetos- I thought about that too, but the Cons outshine the Pros by a HUGE HUGE HUGE margin. So, I really don't care about the pros... Unhappy
Hasbro doesn't seem to be putting any plastic in the fusion wheel from what I was on CP, so phantom will have a metal core (possibility!), and scythe will suck.

Why would Scythe Kronos suck?
The only Metal Fury beys that i'm going to buy are Scythe Kronos,Fang Leone maybe Jade Jupiter and Spiral Fox.
Scythe was good because of its weight distribution, not it's PC Frame, other than in defense combos vs taller opponents but eh.

Still wouldn't be surprised if they did use plastic for some beys though. That said, it'd be really cool if they released Phantom with a metal core. Probably not for stamina, but for attack it could be realllly good. That said, it'd probably be in stamina mode, but then there's not a huge difference between the two.

"Cosmic" might be better without plastic in the way of contact points, Fang, well less so, it's in the wrong mode. LDrago Destructor could actually be better for attack though, without rubber. It'd be hilarious if they forgot to block the underside of the metal frame like Takara did, and Meteo fit on, even if it weren't legal it would be sick.

So yeah, some of them will be worse (fang), but just wait and see. Hopefully they won't legend-series-weight them.
@th!nk- Maybe Phantom won't be as great there... The fly-wheel effect produced was probably what caused it to have such good attacks. The contact points were seemingly 'not that great', so I won't say that they gave Phantom the attack power it had. But still, who knows!
I hope so 2 Wink

The extra weight would probably be well worth it, and it actually had some good contact points on it.
It had good contact points? I wonder why I never managed to see it... Confused
Aaand, if Hasbro can goof up the whole series, I am certain that they can even goof up the weights... Tongue_out
I thought of something.
NEW BEYBLADE XTS 4D. CREATE DUNAMIC BATTLES WITH TIPS THAT CHANGE MID BATTLES AND TIPS WITH MODE CHANGES BUILT IN! THE METAL WHEEL CONFIGURATION CAN BE FLIPED AND NEW MODES FOR CONFIGURATION CAN BE UNLOCKED.
Scyth Cronus Spinner
Pegasus Star Blast
Eternal Orion

This would suck so hard
XTS gone good.

Variares Triple Madness
Quetzalcoatl Death Smash
Flash Rotation Attack
Lynx Cat Claw Change (lolwtf)
L-Drago Revive Endurance
If they assign the original 4D functions into unconventional tops (meaning, everything that isn't customizable) I'll be royally pissed off. Not because I cannot get the actual 4D system, but because of how obvious Hasbro's lack of knowing how legitimate US Beyblading can be.
@To The tournament was hosted by YTV and for some reason, this tournament had no age limit. Seriously i saw like an adult (around 20 Years Old) and a little kid like 5 years old o.o
Watch them give F:D to XTS Cosmic Pegasus.
Haha.

i hate you hasbro
I'm actually starting to theorize how XTS will end up being a power vacuum.

If there was a way to make such things happen, it'd be just like that. Restricting 4D-similar functions to XTS tops.
Oh man I wish I had a time machine to go back, so i didn't read that.

That is a highly plausible thing in reality. They would be "xtreme" and make the battles more "intense".

Beywheels might have also been sucking the rubber out of 4d. Ya know with the beys being completely made of RUBBER!!!!

Still I think that would be more dangerous than the main line of beyblade. They are actually flying through the air, closer to a child's face, than the main beyblade line. Even in a takara stadium, beywheels comes closer to puncturing an eye.

Depending on the grade of rubber, which looked "hardish" in the video, it can actually hurt. Especially with those sharp pointed clear wheel rubber things on the side.
