I normally use a soft round brush (prest PS brush) and lower the strength to about 15 - 25%

It's better than your others, however I still believe that their are too many renders in the sig. I've kept to the belief that there should only be 1 or to 2 renders in a sig max.
I want to start GFXing. What program should I download (Window user)
And can you post a link?

For a free program, I recommend GIMP;
http://www.gimp.org/downloads/
I find it does everything Photoshop does and is more user friendly than Photoshop, although Photoshop is considered widely as the more powerful program

Do you have money? Then buy photoshop.
If you want a free one, then use Gimp. Just type in google.

I'm still making a cool sig. Oh, and i might post here the entry for my school's mascot making contest. They will put your name on the mascot and it will be there FOREVER!! Talk about appreciations Smile

I'm considering using photoshop again. As most people say it is superior. I just want to be able to make sigs like all photoshop users who I cannot compete with. I really want to switch, but its really hard to. Transitioning from the gimp makes it hard to know were everything is. I guess if I ever get a chance to do GFX professionally, I'll have to learn how to use phototshop anyways.
BTW, what do you guys suggest, photoshop CS4 or CS5?
I would go for the latest version, CS5. I'm still only running CS3 on a netbook with a tiny screen, so PS is useless. CS3 is just too hard to operate. I still use it for rendering images though, one thing GIMP doesn't have is the magic wand tool, so I use CS3 for that.
GIMP has the magic wand tool... o.O
It looks like two badly cut renders placed on top of a screenshot with a bit of awkwardly placed text.

You are right. This time, I tried making one with less pictures, like Kai-V said.
And I know that is not enough. I will try to make better ones. Feel free to critique or comment on my pictures. Thanks.
Your see through efffect you can see behind it and Fyuuor is right don't use more than one render 2 MAX
GIMP has magic wand tool actually i use it for beyblades it has nice cuts (when you use a beyblade with a simple design like Rock leone) but i also use the free select tool (Pen tool)

Ugh, I cannot stand the wand. I used to like it, but I've realized I can cut WAY better with the path tool.

Hey guys! ToKao here!

I made this one! Tell me what you think!

I dont like it that much...but for you to understand the words you need to know who kiba is...

Also i nice person from deviantART let me use this for a userbar...
[Image: 10y1bif.gif] BUT, now im having trouble with this stupid animation thing...the background blinks with it...any tips (I use gimp)

A quick sig I made compliments?

The background is a fracktal, correct?

Cutting looks good, but black on pink? Really?
Almost all my renders are made with the magic wand tool on PS, I did try the wand tool in GIMP but it wasn't quite as efficient.
Sparta, if you look at your render in your current sig, it has a white border around it due to poor cutting. or is that meant to be there?

A little on the brighter side...try scan lines...it might be helpful sometimes...

Kinda meant to be there, partly cruddy cutting.

As in, it was originally bad cutting, but once I saw how it came out I was just too lazy to change it, and decided it also kinda looked like a border.
Hey can I get an opinion on my stuff?

what are you talking about?

try to lower the brightness, and only use scanlines in a 50 scale

oh, xyo i think i found your "magic touch"(smudging!)
Yup but the smudging in PS is much better more abstract and realistic and flaming aries the fractals are covering the text that is bad and try smudging i looks nice
