Shu’s Revenge!
Valt’s Tale!
Spoiler (Click to View)“Is that… Shu Kurenai?” the announcer gasps, “The more I look, the more I see the resemblance! Has he gone back to his dark ways of breaking beys?” “I’m here to crush all of you...” Blood Eye yelled, “...and I'll start here with this little boy!” “You won’t break Treptune!” Toko said definitely, “Where did you go? Why did you take my brother with you?! Where is he?!” “Maybe I’ll tell you if you win.” Blood Eye said with a cocky grin. “Thing’s are already heating up! Now let’s get this show on the road!” the announcer said, “This is the last battle of the day and yet this is one no one wants to miss!”
3...2...1… GO SHOOT! Toko and Blood Eye both nailed their launches. Trident took the center and Spriggan zoomed around the stadium. It was in Right spin attack mode. Suddenly Spriggan swooped in. “GO! Requiem Whip!” “Harmonious Spin!” Trident sped up and gained an aura. Spriggan swooped in and used a single golden scythe to chop Trident into the air. “Don’t burst Trident!” Toko wished. Then suddenly as Trident was falling to the ground, Spriggan zoomed into Trident and Smashed it into a million pieces. Every part was shattered. Red lightning from Spriggan’s scythe ran through every part of Trident. “N...NO!” Toko screamed. “How could he?” Shin whispered. Shu picked up the hundreds of pieces of Trident and put them in a bag. “How pathetic.” His voice boomed. “You can’t take that sir!” the ref said. “Check page 37 of the rulebook. If I break it, I take it.” The ref checked the rulebook. “Oh, sorry sir.” He said quickly. “Who wrote that rulebook?!” Shin asked. “Theodore Glass did.” Arina responded, looking like she was in a trance. Toko had collapsed on his knees, tears pouring from his eyes.
Suddenly Shin sat up and started running. He ran and ran, down to the stadium, past Toko, and into Blood Eyes waiting room. The door outside was open and Shin ran through it. He looked around and spotted Blood Eye walking down the street. “Where are you going Shu!” Blood Eye said, “Go away kid.” Without looking back. Shin ran in front of Blood Eye and blocked his way. “Why are you doing this! You’re letting yourself be used by Glass! This isn’t like you!” “I don’t owe you anything. Now get out of my way.” Shin pulled out Spriggan. “Battle me! If I win I want answers.” Blood Eye held out Spriggan Requiem. “Wait a second… you… aren’t Shu?” Shin pondered. “I am Shu, you weak child.” Blood Eye responded. “What’s my name then?” Shin asked. “I don’t know all the names of my fanboys! Now get out of my way!” Blood Eye yelled in fury. And he smacked Shin in the head, knocking him out.
“Wow. It’s already that serious.” Valt’s voice said. Shin moaned. His head hurt SO bad. “He’s waking up!” Arina said. “What’s up guys?” Shin said weakly. “We found you knocked out on the side of the road.” Arina replied. “Nice to see you again!” Valt said. “I thought you had disappeared.” Shin said. “I’ll tell that story later. First, how did you get knocked out? What happened?” Shin told Arina and Valt about his encounter with Shu. “Here’s the thing. It wasn’t Shu.” “How do you know?” Arina asked. “It was like his soul wasn’t there. Spriggan couldn’t feel it either.” “That’s… Impossible.” Valt said, “It’s like he was still Red Eye.” “Well it wasn’t Shu, I’m positive.” “Okay, I believe you.” Arina said. “Where is Shu though?”
“I followed him to Glass tower. It’s the new order of operations for the Snake Pit. Shu took the elevator down and I followed him.” Valt explained, “When the door opened at the bottom I saw a girl in a mask shoving Shu into a machine. She pressed some buttons and the chamber she had put him in started glowing gold and green. Then she saw me and ran over and punched me in the face, knocking me out.” “How did you escape?” Arina asked. “I woke up and saw that I was strapped down on a wall. I launched Valkyrie and broke the chains. I got out off the floor and started walking around in a dark, dimly lit basement. I saw the chamber from earlier and standing in front of it was Shu. I told him how happy I was to see him but he told me that I shouldn’t have woken up so soon and that he would need to knock me out again. I could tell he was red eye again. I challenged him to a battle and said that if I won, he would have to let me go. We went to a room with a beystadium inside. I put up a fight but…” Valt started crying. “What is it?” Shin asked. “He broke Valkyrie.” Valt said without hope. “I ran for the elevator and made it in and escaped.” Shin couldn’t believe it. Shu had broken Valkyrie. It was almost too terrible to imagine.
“Where’s Sansy?” Shin suddenly asked, breaking the moment of silence. “He disappeared after… all that happened.” Arina replied. “I need to find him.” Shin said, “He knows something. He is the key.” “Well I’m going to prepare for the next round of the tournament. It seems so unimportant now, but I don’t know what else to do.” Arina said. She brought out a laptop computer. “The next matches have been published!” I’m going against Hyuki Gamen and Shin’s going against… Blood Eye.” “Good. If I win, maybe I can get him to talk. I can’t imagine why he would act like this.” Shin said, with determination in his voice. “I need to get training.” “I’ll train with you!” Arina said, “Let’s go!”
“You need a special launch!” Arina said as soon as they got to the stadium. “No offense, but your launch is pretty simple and well… not very strong.” “I guess that’s true.” Shin responded. “How should I change it up?” “Only you can decide that. Just try many different launches.” Arina replied. “Okay let’s go. It’s time to practice.” “Let it rip!” Shin dropped his launcher in the middle of launching with his left hand. “Let it rip!” Ship through his launcher into the air… and it fell on the ground. “Let it rip!” Shin lunged forward and launched Spriggan weakly… and fell into the stadium on top of Spriggan. “I just can’t get it!” Shin said, exhausted. “Try to… feel Spriggan,” said Arina. “Okay. Let’s do this.” Shin closed his eyes and picked up his launcher. Suddenly he was thrown into the avatar world, Spriggan standing in front of him. “What do I do?” Shin asks. “Try this. Your brother once pulled it off. Put your own spin on it.” Spriggan’s voice boomed. Shin suddenly knew what to do…
“What an amazing burst by Arina Murasaki!” the announcer yells. The crowd cheers as loud as ever. “Now it’s time for the intense battle between Shin Kuronai and Blood Eye, otherwise known as Shu Kuronai. Shin walks up to the stadium. “I’m ready,” he said. “Let’s do this!”
