FAN EXPO BEYBLADE SUMMIT
Park behind MTCC South Building - Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Saturday, August 29th, 2009 - 1PM SHARP!!! (We won't wait for you)
MFB FORMAT

Since it seems like we have garnered a sufficient amount of interest for a tournament, we are turning this "meetup" into the FAN EXPO BEYBLADE SUMMIT! This will be an official WBO tournament, but sadly, there will be no prizes this time around; but you can still compete for Beypoints and Faces! Also, make sure you have your Blader Passport or bring $5!

No specific location within the park has been determined, but I do not think it should be too hard to find one another. If you think you're going to have any trouble, PM Khel for his cell number as the event date draws near.

If it is raining, we will meet up at the main entrance of the South Building.

We hope to see you there. Smile

Confirmed Attendees:
Kei
Khel
Minion

ORIGINAL POST:
Well taking over from the old topic (Sorry Gadget) we are seeing if there is interest in hosting a meetup at Fan Expo 2009 in Toronto. More info on the event can be found here

Now I have never been to this convention, so I am hoping that someone who has experience there would be able to give advice as to how to pursue this and where we should set up.

Like I mentioned this would really just be a meet-up. So anyone bring whatever beyblades you have (Legal of course) and we just play. I mean we did spend money to get this things so why wouldn't we want to play against actual people?

So opinions anyone?

Need-to-Know Information

1. During Registration, Open Your Account Page

Open your account page on your mobile device (if possible) during registration to help us keep things quick.

Good luck to everyone today. Wish I could be there, but I've got nuptials to attend.
How did it all go? Smile
I'm in england it's like 8 past 8 (8.08pm) here so this might be a bit early for you guys lol.
The tournament only started a couple of hours ago, so yes it's a bit early Tongue_out
So sorry i couldnt make it D;
Beyfail Expo 2009

Sadly we didn't get enough people to have a tournament. We were only 1 short Unhappy Maybe next time?
We ended up one person short of the minimum amount (eight people). So, no tournament.

But it was all good, we hung out for a couple hours and just battled for fun. And surprisingly, it turned out to be sunny! Thanks to everyone who came; hopefully we can get a tournament going next time.

edit: What To said, but I wouldn't call it "Beyfail" haha
I still had fun.

It actually had it's benefits. In a tournament setting there is a greater tendency to lean towards stamina blades. Here we were all trying anything. So I got quite a bit of RF usage.
I was putting RF on everything lmao

The worst part is, I talked to Chris (Fleetscut) and (Evan, I think his old bey-handle used to be Raven) later on in the con, and Chris said he would have entered the tournament had he known about it xP

Sorry that Tim and I were only there for a bit, there was too much to do at the con and not enough time to do it. I think I covered everything I wanted to pretty well though. Picked up quite a few cute (useless, I might add) trinkets.
Whoa, just got back in from ottawa. It rained like hell over there, yet you guys got... sun?

Glad to hear you guys had fun, although I would've loved to be there, I'm sure I would've preferred free play rather than getting trounced in a tournament, [casting my rankings further into the bottomless abyss of failure]
If i put up enough of a fight, I probably could've made it, but i figured my late uncle wouldn't forgive me very easily if i skipped out on his memorial service to got to a spinning top event. x_x

That being said, any congoers coming together for free play today [sunday]
If so, I might be able to pop in under the pretense of checking out the con.

I ended up going to the con actually, and I ran into some friends in the lineup. I must admit I had some fun. Caught a screen of a pretty generic anime series that was broughten to life with commentary by me and my friends ("I really don't like the wind" "You'd like the wind better if your skirt wasn't so short") I bought a deluxe pass so I may be heading out again later today as I really want to see the 25th Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle panel...
I spy 3 RF LOL
Grin
I look like I'm about to crawl into the fetal position

lol and beynval those are all my RF's XD.
Sweet action shots!
I like the shot of Goldless Quetz lol.
T-T You guys are making me cry!
