[Draft]  DB Core - Bahamut

Bahamut (バハムート, Bahamūto) is a [color=var(--theme-link-color)]DB Core[/color] released by [color=var(--theme-link-color)]Takara Tomy[/color] as part of the [color=var(--theme-link-color)]Burst System[/color] as well as the [color=var(--theme-link-color)]Dynamite Battle Layer System[/color]. It debuted in Japan with the release of the B-186 [color=var(--theme-link-color)]Random Booster Vol. 26[/color] on June 26th, 2021.
==Description==
Bahamut, like its Gatinko Chip predecessor, is a left spin DB Core depicting a dragon head with whiskers. It is named after Bahamut, the giant fish in Islamic mythology, though matching its dragon like anime depiction.

What sets Bahamut apart from every DB Core is it’s locks: instead of teeth, it has slopes akin those found on Hasbro’s Beyblades, following in its predecessors having bad locks. Though Unlike Hasbro’s Beyblade’s, it features an extra gimmick: a rubber lock, consisting of Lucifer 2’s rubber protrusion and 2 burst stoppers akin the tab on Gen. As a result, Bahamut’s burst resistance is among the highest among DB Cores.

Bahamut’s slopes also give a niche use of not wearing on early moulds of Metal Lock Drivers, making it more versatile. While it may not be as heavy as Longinus, it’s unique gimmick makes it decent for most combinations.

However, like most rubber parts, Bahamut’s rubber will wear and it’s burst resistance will decrease significantly, so multiple copies may be needed to replace worn ones.
===Use in Attack combinations===
Bahamut can be used in the combination Guilty Bahamut Nexus+S/Legacy/Karma Xtreme'/Quick'-2. The 2 armor focuses weight on Guilty’s contact points, giving Guilty more attack power, which is bolstered by the high speeds of Quick'/Xtreme' and the disc choice. Bahamut’s high burst resistance allows it to handle the resultant recoil from the attacks. Metal Xtreme is also an option.
==Overall==
Bahamut’s unique properties make it top tier for any sort of combination. While Longinus’ heavy weight, stamina and easier access makes it better, Bahamut’s high burst resistance makes it a viable alternative.

As such, Bahamut is a must have for competitive bladers.
(Qn: Can someone name Bahamut combinations for Attack, Defense and stamina, and if it’s even good at all 3?)

This isn't the best place to ask, but like all rubber it does wear down over time, lessening its tightness. It is something an article should note.

Considering the rubber on the chip is like 10 times taller and at least twice as thick as the gen weight, which was supposed to be its reference, I don’t think much will ever burst on it. Even if it’s worn.

Speaking from experience, it wears. It isn't much taller - otherwise it wouldn't fit as you can only have a vertical stopper so tall before it prevents the combo fitting together by getting in the way of the twist-to-assemble, and only so short before it doesn't make contact - they necessarily have to be about the same height. It is wider than Gen, but that only helps so much. With enough use it does wear down and the burst res gradually reduces.

Change log: it can wear, must have multiples (dang it TT)

Besides the high Burst resistance, does it have any use?

In general, it’s best on guilty KO attack combos. The only other good left spin core is Longinus. And Longinus has better stamina than Bahamut. So basically, bahamut’s uses are on anything that you don’t have Longinus on.
