I was just thrilled that it didn't sound like:

*Death metal guitar riffing* "RAWWWWWWWWGH OOGA OOGA BOOGA"

This is what totally killed Dozing Green for me. Unhappy

I was like "Okay, this song is cool" and then the end came along and was basically "SCRREEECH RAWWWWWWWWGH OOGA OOGA BOOGA"

Aww, I love the end of Dozing Green though.

It at least makes sense for him to be screaming there, given the context of the lyrics and the music.

I'm just not a big fan of screaming like that in songs.

Yeah, it does I guess, but it just isn't pleasant for my ears haha

I've had this argument with way too many people to care anymore.

Basically, if you like hard rock music you may as well get used to hearing screamed vocals because they aren't going anywhere for the foreseeable future.

Blegh, whatever.

They're all pretty over the hill looking these days.

I like this PV for GLASS SKIN a lot more than the one for Dozing Green.

Also, I will go see Dir en grey on November 15th. My excitement is unmeasurable. It is not because we live in Canada that everybody can travel to Toronto.

Nice. Not a very exciting song, but still good.
I can't stand the snare drum used on that recording. Nice song other than that.
The full single is available in the usual places now.

The recorded version of GLASS SKIN is really good, I really like it. I also really like the remix of Undecided. Its great.

AGITATED SCREAMS OF MAGGOTS unplugged is TOTALLY WHAT THE carp though, Jesus.

The live version of Ryoujoku kinda sucks, but that's nothing new, Dir has always sucked live.
Agitated unplugged is seriously LOLLLLLLLLLLLL

Less than a month away. So exciting. !
I actually liked the song and was beginning to get into it at about the 2:20 mark, but then 2:30 came along...

I eagerly await to see a live version of the end of that song! ;-P
The album can be downloaded on several websites now. I am still going to buy it though.

I would seriously like to know how you would qualify their new style : all I seem to be able to say is that it is 'odd'. Some parts of Vinushka remind me of Genesis a lot, and some other things are like progressive rock to me ...

At least, the impression I get is that there is something quite different in some songs.
The new album rules. I love it.
Listened to Uroboros once. I don't know if I hate or love Dir en Grey anymore.

I'll need to listen to the album again.

i like akuro no oka

but jesus do you just want them to keep making the same music? they came, conquered and moved on

the new album is great any way you slice it, and if you don't like it then you're just not interested in this kind of music
Yeah, its great that they've done that. It takes a really good band to do something like they have.

I am just trying to decide if I like their new music or not. There are moments I do, and moments I don't. Just a personal conflict, the music is obviously great to a lot of fans.
Hataz be damned, Uroboros is definitely my carp album of the year.
I listened to Uroboros again a little while ago, and actually liked it better than the first time through.
