Fair enough, I have heard that Drift on a heavy enough combo has decent same spin. Although perhaps Tempest Xtend+ would be better for first stage, due to the better same spin?

I'd say there are a select few matchups in first stage where I'd rather use Xtend+ on Tempest Wheel 1S, but not enough for me to second guess using Drift. There's a couple benchmark tests in the spoiler below to support this claim:

(MCC) Tempest Hyperion2 Wheel Drift 1S VS World Diabolos (Right) Atomic 2A
Tempest Hyperion2: 80% (4 OS)
World Diabolos: 20% (1 OS)
Now, the same test, but with Drift swapped out for Xtend+

Tempest Hyperion2: 40% (2 OS)
World Diabolos: 60% (3 OS)
(I don't believe it's against the thread rules to post testing supporting why part is recommended, but if it is, please inform me and I'll remove the testing.)

Fair enough, but who uses World Atomic first stage? Perhaps something err… more frequently seen as an opponent. Like maybe some left spin World Zone’+Z tests, Rage 3A tests, maybe even some Master combos.

With a. Dash driver it has better burst resistance than pegasis
