I'm sure carping on others threads isn't contributing at all. You can stop now. The idea is in alpha stage and dissing it isn't going anywhere. A lot of things in this world is for money. Pardon my tone with all due respect, I am trying to buffer the awkward aspects out one by one. It's going to be an expensive run. Difficult because the Destroyer Dome could be excluded, for obvious reasons.

zeneo

Sarcasm eh? Real productive contribution to the thread. So yeah you can take that somewhere else. Again there are people who do not bother to research before making threads, nor reading around at the least (guilty on a couple occasions myself), I'm not tackling this project without the core mechanics being refreshed let's get that straight. We have grounds to work on. They might not even scrape the surface now, since it's the very very beginning. I made sure the system (Tangent Shell) has a sense of intricacy.

@mods and committee

I'm sorry if this came off as mean. I'm going through a rough patch in life.

No. Things like the electronic tops, the XTS tops, BeyWheelzs, etc. are just not part of the Beyblade toyline ... Even TAKARA-TOMY treats the Super Control Beyblades as something entirely different.

Well where else he supposed to put it?
Wasn't online to respond to these incoming comments immediately :\

First off, Beywheelz is not "related" to Beyblade. Just like Kai-V expalined above. This is why a new metagame is needed to be discussed. If people keep trying to compare Beywheelz and Beyblades, we won't get far in terms of a metagame since these are two different things.

Secondly, this is to discuss "reconstruction" so please, if you haven't got anything "constructive" to say please do not SPAM the thread with negative comments. We've already gotten alot of those comments in other threads, so the carp storm was already on the radar when this thread was opened.

This is directed at zeneo, I know what type of person you are, and if you don't want this thread to end up as a battlefield, just get out

To others, the WBO is a democratic place to a certain extent. I hope this thread can stay open in this section without having to go down like the Hindenburg.

So all I am trying to say is that if you have any ideas, post them here. With further discussion they can become somewhat concrete. I know this is the World BEYBLADE Organization so without scrunity of this project, can we get back on topic; "RECONSTRUCTION" not "DEMOLITION".

Also, people who voted for the third option in that poll should not post here. That was just getting a sense of who doesn't want to see this happen. So basically, Cannon, Eternal Blader, Guardian Aquila, Shogun, The Solution, zeneo do not have to post in this thread further displaying their discontent with the idea. Unless of course, you change your mind and decide to post something useful.

And, serious contrinutors to this project will be given the golden link, so don't worry Wink

Also to make it clearer, people who voted for the first option can discuss the TANGENT SHELL SYSTEM. People who voted for the second can continue discussing a new metagame like AgentBlitz has started. Of course you can still do both, but I'm just setting you in the direction of your preferences Wink

Ugh, don't make Kai-V hate Beywheelz anymore that she already does. So quit the drama people.
Sorry for double post Lips_sealed

Ok so pros- if speed types are as bad as attack types were in hasbro stadiums, this would make them more useful, the other parts of the wheelz (besides the hamburger wheel) would become more important because the "energy ring" would do some of the clashing, the battles might be a bit longer. Cons- speed types could dominate, it could be a bit hard to declare a winner, majority of the battles could end in a tie. Over the "point of impact" could be a ceiling. Also the runways could be very skinny to just fit the beywheelz so they wouldn't bump into the walls when launched.

Hm, it won't really turn out good because basically you are squeezing both wheelz in a small space. They could just KO themselves. I see where you want the "energy ring" to create contact but I really don't think basing a whole "game" on that will do Confused

The best I can think of destroyer dome stadium
Most fair play for every type of beywheelz
As beywheelz are made of rubber it is possible that battle will be of more than 5 sec

The destroyer dome is a really bad stadium. In my opinion, it is trying to make Beywheelz like Beyblades in terms of a "circular" stadium. Beywheelz were supposed to roll, hah. The fairest kind of stadium would be something along the lines of a track. Basically, all wheelz can roll fairly easily on a "flat" surface.

I have had some Beywheelz stock in my store for a couple of weeks now, I just got some pictures recently. Unfortunately, they're from a camera. Imagine someone coming into a store with a tripod and a real camera, lol XD No stadiums yet, though. I will definitively pick one up soon. (Click to View)
The price tag is $14.92 Damn Pinching_eyes_2

Also, if anyone has one or something. I really need to know the names of the "parts" because it'll be easier to refer to Wink

My take on this Beywheelz meta-game is something along the lines of an "obstacle course". To really incorporate the "racing" aspect.
I gotcha back Insomniac!

The "Face" is called a Spirit Axle. The "Clear Wheel" is called a Spirit Shield. The "Metal Wheel" is called an Energy Core. the "4D-Bottom-like-thing" is called an Attack Gear.

And lastly, THE DESTROYER DOME IS NOT FOR BEYWHEELZ. IT INCLUDES 2 SPECIAL TRACKS TO PUT ON YOUR REGULAR BEYBLADE TO MAKE IT RIDE THE WALL.

Thank you. I will add the two statements in the OP Smile

Why doesn't people understand at first

I never said that destroyer dome is for beywheelz and I know that it includes 2 spin tracks to ride on walls

But do not forget that beywheelz are also made up of rubber so it will be quite easy for them to ride the walls and battle

(People in here really need classes about how to talk and how to understand things
They really post something that is really discouraging to others
And if u have not tried anything ur self u should Not say anything bad.)
I just got my first (and possibly only) Beywheel today. "Claw Shredder Kerbecs". It's a power type, and from the fact it has all these huge lumps on the rubber ring, and that all other power types Have those or huge gaps inside the wheel, I'm thinking Hasbro was looking to make power types have the most bounce/smash? to knock the opponent beywheel backwards out of the little gap/ramp arena they have right now.

At least that's what it looks like to me at the moment. I'm probably not going to try get another one. Fact is, I don't have another person to test these things with. And testing for this meta game definitely requires two people.

EDITGaspOPS, I used the wrong wording. Recoil=bad Smash=good Sorry bout that. Thanks for the correction Kai-V!
Recoil makes yourself go backwards. It is negative, by the way.
sounds pretty fun,but if they don't make a libra bey-wheel then i'm not buying any

that's why they say i'm foolish without seeing themselves wheels not equal to tops.

The anime isn't part of the toyline either, but we still discuss it.

You posted that as if I was against the existence of this thread.
It was definitely aimed at someone else, haha. I am perhaps a little defensive because I am very curious about this system and the opening post is very well written.
zeneo, if you have nothing constructive to say, please leave. That is all.

The thinner wheelz tend to be speed type. For obvious reasons. And the thicker ones tend to be power types, for obvious weight reasons.

I don't think the Spirit Shields serve much of a purpose other than aesthetic appeal.

^ What sorcery is this?!
Anyway, the Spirit Shields could possibly provide slight weight distribution.
It could make s difference in certain races I suppose.
One of my three favourite gifs on the entire internet, a timeless classic, haha.

Anyway, Insomniac, could you perhaps provide a list of the parts of each beywheel and how they relate to the parts of an MFB or another type of beyblade that more people will be familiar with? Pictures of them and where they sit on a beywheel would be cool too.
It would help people understand the terms as well as familiarizing them with the system.
You came close to this in the first post and AgentBlitz did a good job of it, but I think a more direct and "for dummies" version would be good.

Also, seeing as this is really the best source for beywheelz information at the moment, perhaps a simple explanation of how you play beywheelz, like, how the game(s) operate, would also be worth including.

I'm happy to help out with wording it or whatever but I know basically nothing about BeyWheelz and I'm pretty certain that you'll be able to do it by yourself.

We have done something along those lines to a certain extent. I'll get a good list up soon though Smile

The bumps, actually, look like claws to me. Sorta for aesthetics (kerbecs). Testing will obviously be a problem though, since it is impossible to get fair results via one person :\

Unless they release a "duo-launcher" XD

Yes, weight and balance. The rubber remains the main part though! Also, the back side which looks like a spin-track and a tip jammed together, is for balance too.

Edited the OP with some really drafty stuff.

People are under the impression that if it spins, its Beyblade

Thick rubber:

Thin Rubber:

I think the video pretty much explains everything from assembly to battles.
So the thick rubber wheel is used for power...and thin one for speed or something else?I feel that beywheelz is unique because its completely different from the actual spinning metal tops..its not something like the stealth battlers with some gimmick or the tornado tops... it's like your spinning a tire.So hasbro didn't really spoil the beys they just made something new and unique instead of adding some type of missile like things or weapons etc...and this is kind of like a copy of a toy in which you have to launch wheels....but I feel that this one is better with all the designs of the wheels each one isn't the same....so far as I have seen you can do a lot of things with it hasbro might even create a track for beywheelz(like those mattel hotwheels tracks).

Words of wisdom, hah.
Thin ones are for speed Wink
Personally, the "obstacle course" screams "go-go" to me.

Also, if any one can tell me if the Beywheelz can fit inside the destroyer dome or not, that'd be great!

No beywheelz don't fit inside the destroyer dome....people are getting confused between beywheelz and those big round spintracks..actually they are completely different and even if a beywheelz bey fit's in it all you get is a epic fail battle...You won't get a battle with the beywheelz if launched..why don't you think about a beywheelz launched in a zero g stadium Gasp how would that be?

It'd roll out the side XD
