Why would you use Basalt in this meta game...
Probably didn't use GF because it's damn hard to control (speaking from experience, I got it after several rounds of testing), especially in a tournament situation where emotions and other uncontrollable factors can mess up the launch.

Basalt is actually rather decent, and is a nice bey to use for Hasbro-only people. It's still a fantastic Anti-Attack MW, as seen in the combo MF-H Basalt Horogium R145/TR145 RF/R2F.
Just now getting a chance to post. While I got knocked out of the tournament fairly early, I learned tons about the Metal Fight metagame, and will more thoroughly prepare for upcoming tournaments. Next time, I won't be out so quickly!

Thanks to everyone who gave me advice, practiced with me, etc. It was a blast, and one of the greatest things I wanted to go to as a child but never had the chance.

Basalt Orion B:D actually got pretty far in the competition. It made it to the semifinals of the winners bracket before losing twice.

I had a GF as well, I thought about bringing it out against stormscorpio1 as Bahamdia Dragooon SP230GF, but changed my mind after I thought I would self-KO.
Sucks I couldn't make it, but hey, seems everyone had a lot of fun!

Props to Billy too, going down there and getting 1st.
Will pictures be up soon?
