Welp, looks like we aren't gonna get that five team battle royale. And it seems Free never got to have his spotlight in this tournament and both him and Sisco did the worst of every team haha.

And the battle was... a little bit depressing. Not because Free and Sisco lost, but rather because it was Hyuga being the one to take out Free once again, Free still having yet to burst with Mirage Fafnir, and Free and Sisco don't have a joint special move like the other pairs seems to have (except for Shu and Lean, but they don't need it since they'll win anyway). I thought after countless of times with Free only losing by Over Finishes, he would finally burst this time and with Hikaru's "Limit Break Volcano" buuuuut nah.

Don't get me wrong, the battle was fine but I wish it was Hikaru doing it instead since he has yet to take the last hit against Fafnir (I don't count his win from Episode 11 since Valt finished Free off last). Free still hasn't bursted in the series yet, besides his flashback battle against Lean, so there's not really a feeling of an actual payoff with the twins battle against him lol.

It's fine, just not one of my favourite battles lol. The preview for the next episode does look dope though.

well it ended the way I thought it was going to never believe an thaf so call maybe a battle royal between all the team's aside from lane,  which was kind of obvious not enough episode for that,  but oof free fans are not going to like this episode at all free has an excellent tactic he did render the new twin strike invalid but i got to give it to Hikaru who uses free own tactic against him to take sisco out with him and hyuga manage to get a KO on free although not sure if I like how hyuga got the knock out on free though would have prefer Hikaru instead  haha . but hey free fans can rejoice on one thing his the only character that never burst in this season kind of wild to think about it fafnir never got burst ,but it wasn't a bad episode but wasn't that good too was just whatever for me.  F in the comments for free fans though

Alright so there really isn’t much for me to mention regarding the battle since LOL-y Rancher pretty much covered it nicely but I suppose I do have a bit. Firstly, my tournament power tier list doesn’t change at all, Free remains dead at the bottom while Silas remains above him. At least Silas lost in a 2v1 and even then, he managed to draw with Helios even after it used a special move whilst Satan was already fighting Hyperion which is low key crazier than that time Free lost by knockout to both Valt and Hikaru in the 2v1. Free on the other hand doesn’t lose with much grace and gets bodied by Hyuga like a joke. I still liked the episode though

Oh? Would there? Because unless Shu and Lean (who are already in a solid lead) are still required to participate, there would only be five teams with the same amount of points which would leave one with no other to face.

I'm just hoping Valt and Rantaro would win, so there would be a tie-breaker between Hyuga & Hikaru VS Valt & Rantaro (with the former team winning against them, after losing to them).

Okay first of, Free and Sisco reminisce their times with Hyuga and Hikaru, it's nice to see them reflect their past, although since I didn't understand what they said, it didn't leave much impact for me yet. What did however, was Free's really happy smile to SISCO of all people. It's not even his usual smug smile, he's eye closed cheery smile, which is certainly unexpected and interesting. I assume this means their friendship has improved thanks to the tag team? That would be cool, a bit of character development which this series desperately needs in general.

So now onto Free and Sisco vs Hyuga and Hikaru...

Free and Sisco actually win in a surprise turn of events, showing that the twins couldn't always prove themselves to the people who criticised them at the right time... a lesson they learn and use to keep focus for a possible epic battle royale comes to fruition if Valt and Rantaro lose too...

Pfffffffffthahahahahahaha! Yeah right! Seeing a possible battle royale of the tied teams? Nahhhh, too boring...

Instead! Hikaru and Hyuga predictably win with the power of super duper advanced bey technology with their limit break, well, Hyuga does anyway. He uses his limit break pop out function to push Fafnir out which is kinda cool, but once again, Fafnir never ever bursts. Sisco and Free do at least take their losses well though, which is a nice change. Also I swear that this reminds me of G-Revolution in the results, Free and Sisco being the Barthez Battalion of the lot, winning only one match, I kinda called it from the start that they'd do the worst, and I was totally right on the money.

If there was one thing I really liked, it was both Hyuga and Hikaru using their Limit Break gimmicks in such creative ways. When Free already activated Hikaru's Limit Break gimmick, Hikaru uses the spring on the Layer to boost his bey. Hyuga uses the extending motion of his Limit Break to push Fafnir away, really cool.

This time it made our Chinese New Year Even More Terrible, No tag team battle royale and ......due to pop up in wbo to get notification and when you read it nothing on thread that is supposedly is for upcoming REAL NEWS so of course people are going to be angry, I also unwillingly to cause spam every time that make everyone had a hard work.
I think somebody happy too see what happen.

Is it me or this season has been disrespecting everything burst's built so far? What's the point of getting back old fan favorite characters just to make them loose badly by lane or Bros who nobody seems to be interested in? I remember people exited when sparking was announced cause we envisioned a season where all the matches we had waited to see for so long finally would happen ( Valt vs Lui, Shu vs Free ecc ecc). We had none of this but instead a lame season where boring new OP characters are humiliating well developed old characters in rarely exiting tag battles. Basically sparking has tarnished my fondness for burst.

I completely understand your feelings. Not a huge fan of this season myself. I've just been going through the motions of f waiting for a new episode. Not that excited since I basically already know the outcome. How things have been handled is not to my taste either so I get it. Hopefully S6 brings something more to the table.

I agree it feels unbalanced the only protagonist I can accept in this season is Hikaru I watched this season only for my favorite characters and for the og bladers Lean is just a boring character with no interesting motives and no backstory and Hyuga who just says zoom zoom crash crash for most of the episode as if his family never taught him how to speak any other word besides that

Well this episode was boring. I was right about the overhype. It’s like the authors didn’t try. The next episode is probably overhype too.

Brave Valkyrie is my favorite bey, and Valt is my favorite character even if he's a bit overrated.

As a certified Free fan (to the point of bias tbh), I agree. Although I would have preferred Hikaru finishing Free off, as I low-key hate Hyuga, at least Hyuga used some strategy. Hoping Valt and Rantaro win against Shu and Lane, but will probably like it anyway, because if the preview is anything to go by, Shu and Valt are gonna face off and those two never disappoint.
