Every time I see this, I think of Hikaru and Hyuga

They could have done more with Valts character tbh.

Actually they have but for some reason he still loses which ticks me off even more if you noticed he pays attention to his opponents and peers abilities very carefully like how he noticed Lui was trying to Awaken Dragon’s gimmick and how he was analyzing Free’s battle with Hyuga and Hikaru he was even analyzing Aiga and knows how Aiga is he even predicted Aiga would go with attack bc it worked the last time he also analyzed Lane buy Land never analyzed any character but still wins in the end

Why?

Is it fair to say Valt isn’t the “legend of all legends” cuz it just seemed like a brand at this point.

Of all the bladers who took on Lane, Valt did far better than the rest so it's still more than reasonable for Valt to hold that title. It's not a brand. It's exactly fitting

Lean only battled Valt, Aiga, and Lui. Though ur right Valt did do the best, a loss is a loss. So far this season Valt only 1v1’d Hikaru and Hyuga and destroyed them, but so did every other legend. In his 2v2’s 1. Valt let Hikaru battle on the same level as him and you could argue Hikaru battle better (Valt & Hikaru vs Free & Hyuga). 2. Valt is the first one to burst And it was a burst to Rantaro, he had to get carried by Free to a win. (Valt & Free vs Silas & Rantaro) 3. Valt is the only bey to burst and gets outperformed by Hyuga. (Valt & Hyuga vs Lui & Free). 4. Valt has just lost to Lean but for some reason (to you guys) he’s still the best in the world.

Valt only burst because Ragnarok pulled a surprise attack. He sacrificed himself in order to let Hyuga win, Hyuga would've been annihilated without Valt. And Valt should've wrecked Lucifer in the final clash.

Beyblade Burst Sparking - Episode 31 (Review):

Wow... who would've thought that this episode would be met with so much backlash, with some even declaring it as one of the worst Beyblade episodes. A reputation that I personally do not think this episode really deserves (the worst episode will always go to V-Force's "The Power Half Hour" IMO), but that's just me.

Now I understand the complaints that this episode (and to an extent, the entirely of Sparking) has received, where it feels like the Legendary Bladers from the past four or five years (save for Shu, because of course they always give him a major role) just exist as set dressing and test dummies for Lean to obliterate, to show how super duper special awesome he is! And yes, it can be a bit infuriating that these beloved characters get brought back just to show great Lean is.

However, besides that, the battle with Valt VS Lean was actually pretty good IMO. Unlike with Aiga VS Lean, Valt does actualIy surpass the barrier and force Lean to "awaken" Lucifer (well, not really) in order for Lean to use a more offensive move and even then, Valt managed to hang on a bit longer rather than immediately getting defeated by it in one single hit. Valt also managed to win a point, which is more than could be said for most of the Legendary Bladers (except for Aiga, who also defeated him one point before too).

The animation they gave the two characters were really well done, showing really exaggerated facial expressions and movements from Lean and the aura ignited from Valt's fighting spirit in the third battle was cool to see. The animation for the beys are cool too, from Valt's Ev' Driver awakening to Lean's new special move.

And in hindsight, it's not surprising Valt ended up losing (I mean besides the heavy amount of spoilers beforehand, unfortunately). In the trailer for this episode, they showed Lucifer glowing but also not using its barrier in one shot which meant that they had to advertise Lean's new special move using Lucifer's "awakened" state (and flare, I guess). If they introduced a new move from the main antagonist that ended up being worthless anyway, it would've probably made "awakened" Lucifer's introduction look underwhelming and gave the impression to viewers "Wow, the "awakened" Lucifer kinda sucks. I dunno why they bothered showing it, when it couldn't even beat Valt". And yes, I know "Diving Dead Stinger Press" from Dead Phoenix had an underwhelming introduction, but it was on the near end of Cho-Z, whether Lean's new move was introduced in the middle of the season.

Plus, I imagine Shu will just beat Lean anyway im the future, since World Spriggan has barely been advertised.

Oh, and the Asahi brothers evolve their beys I guess. That's cool and standard stuff for Burst now, to have mid evolutions. Nothing much to say there, it's pretty basic stuff.

Anyways, the episode may have its problems, but I didn't think it was bad.

I mean it want bad at all it was just not the result anyone of us were expecting. What really made me kinda surprised was that Valt was able to take down Lucifer in the 2nd round. Tho it is true Valt took down the barrier he wasnt the first person to do it because Lui was the first one to do it but ended up tying. I do remember back in Valt vs. Aiga's final battle The evolution driver awakened and Valt won that round. Variant Disaster sounded super cool and I just cannot believe it. This episode was the most surprising.

Yeah, I even had a Nightmare of Valt losing this match. Unfortunately the Nightmare came true.
