Well, it's basically Episode 3 of the God series LITE...


Okay well it's not exactly like that. But it goes with the usual "main character underestimates and falls for spin stealing trick". However, what I LOVE LOVE LOVE about this episode is that Amane actually decides to use his brain this time, he actually analyses the battle and notices the spin stealing. The battle between the two is really epic, as Fumiya actually launches here. Ashura avoids hitting the Fafnir layer but also still feeds Fafnir spin by hitting the disk. Amane noticing this pulls back and uses his free spinning Hurricane disk to push back and neutralise Fafnir, weakening it. That is AWESOME! It's the Tornado Wyvern vs Drain Fafnir battle I wanted to see. Of course being a new bey Ashura's upper hand is short lived and Fafnir knocks it out, presumably with the ring for aggressive movements, I called it! But I also couldn't hear the special move name properly. By the way, Ichiko seems to be rather moody this episode, she doesn't seem to like Fumiya (although I do), and she seems a bit grumpy. I hope that goes somewhere. Oh and from what I can gather, Fumiya seems to have no connection to Free, at least not yet.

But overall I love this episode, by far my favourite of Gachi.

I really like Fumyia (and it's not just because of the VA lol.) Nice to see a side character actually realizing that the MC could potentially be a good blader and wanting him for his team. But the best part was the battle, don't blame me but I kinda expected Akame to become the next Rantaro/Ranjiro, so it's good he can atleast hold his ground (he didn't even burst!). Hopefully he becomes something like a partner to Drum instead of a sidekick.
