It's obvious that Lui is gonna win but Shu's new launch seems to be really powerful that cought Lui off by suprise. When you think about it in the metal series Kyoya faced Ryuga in the semi finals and lost even though he put up a good fight.

I am new here, but I am here to share my revive right away and some after thoughts. (Contain manga spoiler too, be cautious)

So with Xhaka VS Valt, My heart haven't been this pumped watching battles in this series, because all of them pretty predictable but this two are exciting and well-animated, but Lui knew he got lucky(with the plot armour) because it was too close and Spriggan cracked before to show us it have been weaken enough to not win... About Valt actions, I really need him to cheer me up after such intense battle and devastating lost, and I hope he can control the fear like Shu for their last defeat against Lui. Nightmare shoot is just to intimidate the opponent... Having "nightmares", it wasn't even shown what is the difference between Lui's normal shoot or a Nightmare shoot, just spin the hand counterclockwise and pull like normal, and worse is it didn't even show the random hand movement when shooting like in the manga, not like both series left it unexplained for what it actually do. The worst people just say, hey, new shoot posture, it must be stronger, let's continue watching, lol... I hate this.

For the after thought, I hope they took a different route from the manga. They did it before and it can spice things up for both series, like manga start of earlier, with minor difference in story(Xhaka and Kensuke) and the major one like the legendary blade vs fusion blade chapter when they visit the museum, replaced by team battle and character development for Wakiya, character swaps in the final 8 and lesser blood from nowhere. But if the team battle lost really is the substitute of the final battle in manga, I really want Valt to win, and don't crack or crack-to-burst. I also hope Shu won't suddenly have a grudge against Valt for being too strong, this is a twist that made me question why they took such a unnecessary turn for such a long term friendship. I hope if Valt won in the anime, Shu won't be as sensitive to Valt's power because in the manga Valt is very close win against Lui too, but if Valt wins and the only Spin Emperor Valt didn't defeat yet is Shu, he can claim the best for defeating Valt and the rivalry starts like the manga. I hope this won't be the case, forever, even I wanted major event in the manga come back in later episodes.

Shu should have won. Thought ended. Na but seriously that match was about to be Spriggan's then the damage became too much I guess. Lost Longinus must be really powerful to inflict damage like that cos its the first time in the show where I seen the beys take physical damage other than bursts. Despite all that the match was awesome. Still I hate how each character gotta scream at the end of their battles like what's with that lol.

I feel like after the lui thing this season and the legend beys introduction, they'll probably just go on to a world tournament assuming this was just the Japan based tournament. I can see that happening and a bunch of new bladers on lui level getting introduced. It happens quite a bit in anime.

It's just common sense really. Legend Spriggan is in the next release batch, the new God series is based on this next generation of tops, Spriggan is Shu's Bey, and Shu doesn't currently have a Bey. There's plenty more reasons as well, I could be here for days...

If you add it all up, it's very clear that Shu gets Legend Spriggan.

While I agree, what he said was pretty much expected to happen as it was hinted in the previous episodes and was in the manga too. It's likely that those who have read this thread must've seen the previous episodes first which already gives hints. The battle conclusion is inevitable because plot.
