[BST] Odin Force Xtreme

odin force xtreme

Oh boy, more of everyone's favorite layer. Tired

Hi everyone. I was recently able to get my hands on an Xcalibur so I didn't have access to Force and Xtreme until now. I had thought about the idea of Odin Xtreme for a while now, so I was very excited to finally test it. Smile With that, I introduce Odin Force Xtreme. It is a defense/attack hybrid (otherwise known as Anti-attack) so please keep in mind that this combo is a mixture of two types; it is not going to be as great as one full type.

Testings

I was very happy with these results. Keep in mind that again, that this is an anti-attack custom, generally where a combos defense is better than its overall attack. Odin Force Xtreme generally shouldn't be winning against Wyvern Heavy Claw consistently, by any means.

While I do say Xtreme has both attack and anti-attack potential, I would still say Accel is going to stay the norm (or at least my go-to choice) for aggressive defense. As a lot of players may have experienced, versatility in a combo plays a huge factor in Beyblade Burst. With a combo like Wyvern Heavy Xtreme (or any future layer that can be used for sole defense), for say, would most likely have good defense, but at the same time, a risky option if you're playing a stamina/stationary defense custom, like Wyvern Heavy Claw. With Accel as apposed to Xtreme, however, with a good launch, you can potentially out-spin Claw and Survive combos. Keep in This probably will only will apply for now though. I'd still say we have yet to find a proper Driver for stamina and defense combos.
Awesome thread, Mitsu!

This combo sounds pretty odd at first, and I honestly had no faith in this, but did some testings;

Spriggan Heavy Accel vs Odin Force Xtreme
Alternated beys launched first

SHA: 3 KO, 4 OS, 3 BF
OFX: 3 KO, 0 OS, 7 BF

OFX win rate: 50%

Odin chipped away at Spriggan to burst it, and it proved well. Pretty interesting the way it did that.
Brad tried that combination this weekend and it indeed had potential, but I cannot remember if another Disk was not better or just as good. Did you try with Heavy and Ring ?

Did you get a Sliding Shoot flower pattern in each battle, also ? EDIT : Same question to Hato.

Yes, I did slide shoot and did have a flower pattern Smile

I'm honestly not sure what made me test Force haha. Force definitely did well but I would definitely predict similar results with either of the two Disks you mentioned.

I banked but it only seems to have a small flower pattern, unfortunately. It didn't really last so long in Xtreme's prime stages but as it wore down it started to do so for a slightly longer period of time. Nothing like Rubber Flat though. The rubber is definitely a lot harder.
From my experience the rubber gets softer as it wears haha.

Honestly I want to see tests against V/S | F/H/S | X before I consider this to be good, as I'm sure you understand. I should be able to do those tomorrow (with 2 people!).
Thanks for the tests Mitsu.
Can you try it with Valkyrie Force Xtreme and Odin Heavy NeedleSmile
thanks for test Mitsu, test look interesting. i curious to see how it perform with ring.

Mitsu, can you tell me why you choose Force over Heavy?

No problem. Smile I had received my second Xcalibur the other day, so I should be able get tests against Valkyrie Force Xtreme later on in the day. I don't own Needle at the moment, so I'm not going to be able to test the two. Hopefully someone else can, though!

Like I had said before, it was kind of just the spur of the moment, haha. But like I had told Kai-V, I would predict similar results with Heavy. I have yet to test that.
IIRC Force has weight placement that matches Valkyrie's contact points on 2 of its 4 corners, meaning it might actually be the better choice on Valkyrie, whereas the 5 sided αmaterios prefers a much rounder wheel.

People bring up stuff like this all the time but I've always wondered if it actually makes any difference.
Well Force has sofar proven to be significantly worse than Ring or Heavy on αmaterios and not elsewhere but the inverse still remains to be seen on Valkyrie. The MFB Tornado wheel also seemed pretty picky about what went with it but mostly that just sucked so it could easily be discounted.
I can't say for sure if the theory plays out but it does seem somewhat reasonable with Force sofar.

I'm think more like Synergy.
Could you try it but with Deathscyther as the layer?

it's like how MSF-M make difference on Bahamadia Dragooon BD145LRF, it adds slighly more force to attack.

I don't see how any of that relates to any of the conversation though, haha.

i mean difference is small but exist.
That's a pretty interesting combo. Smile
I see it at the last tournament in MTL and I agree its an anti-attack. this combo does well only against attack-type.

BTW great find!
I think Wyvern Force Xtreme´ll be good because Wyvern and Xtreme together become a mobile defense monster with some smash and heavy weight because of Force and awesome speed because of Xtreme and destabilizing abilities because of Wyvern. Grin I think that would be a good combo. I don´t have Xcalibur Force Xtreme yet but when I get it I´ll do some tests. Smile
