[Answered]  Safe to battle Cho-Z Beys with Hasbro Beys?

Hi all,

My little guy has gotten big into Beyblades and he likes to go to the store and pick some out, so hence we have tons of hasbro. He's also young so its not totally worth spending into Takara Tomy territory yet.

However, he also watches the anime. He can't stop talking about Geist Fafnir and how much he wants it. His birthday is coming up so I figure why not. But to my knowledge there's no sign of a Hasbro version soon?

I'm fine getting a TT version (or Korean? Those are the same quality?) but I know the Cho Z Beys have metal parts in them. Is it safe for them to battle the plastic Hasbro ones without damaging them all? (I thought I saw that TT Xcalius sword thing was metal and can mess up Hasbro Beys)

Also as a general region question, for the Burst generation is it safe to battle the all TT ones against Hasbro?

Thanks a ton for reading and any advice
For the most part, yes. My two sons have a ton of TT & Hasbro beys and battle daily & have never broken a bey. They may get some nicks, paint scuffs, or marks but pretty tonight to break. My son has Geist Fafnir and ever vs single layer beys it hasn’t damaged any.

Geist fafnir does have metal but not showing and it wont mess up the other beys but after like 2 weeks if having it...It might start scratching them but not badly
Cool, thanks for the info guys!
Guess it's a go to get it for him haha.

Geist Fafnir is really safe to use against any Bey because its contact points and Left Spin nature aren’t strong enough to destroy anything. The only problem with investing in TT in your case is that the Performance Tip can’t be used on Hasbro Layers. Geist Fafnir has appeared in the Hasbro app, but the official product images haven’t been leaked yet so who knows when it’ll get released?

Thanks thats good to know. Little guy is only 6 but he'll listen if I tell him not to combine the TT parts with Hasbro ones.
And yeah I don't plan to invest too heavily in TT yet for him but may thinking bout picking up a Japanese Bey Stadium and LR string Launcher too and leave it at that (for now)
There are a few beys that are prone to breaking, like Z Achilles or TT Inferno Ifrit. Geist Fafnir and your hasbeys should be fine.

Takara Tomy Chouzetsu Beys have metal in them, so they are definitely heavier than non-metal Hasbro versions. Not really sure about the plastic quality of Hasbro's products, but if battling TT Chouzetsu Beys against each other can cause scuff marks, breakage and such, I don't see why it would have a different results against Hasbro ones.

Thanks! Sorry for the late reply, do you mean the TT Cho Z Achilles is prone to breaking? I bought that b/c my little guy wanted a LR Red launcher but I may hold off on giving him the Bey if it's gonna break all the hasbeys lol.

Just wanted to say thanks for these too, making my life easier
elektrokuter Z Achilles and Cho-Z Achilles might not be that safe, especially they are prone to chipping their own contact points as well as other Beys (including other Cho-Z Layer Beys) because of their contact points. If you have doubts, you can buy the B-88 which is the same thing as the Cho-Z Achilles launcher but with a shorter string.
When I said Z Achilles, I meant Z Achilles. Z Achilles and Cho Z Achilles are very different layers.

Thanks, yeah I tried looking for the B-88 but it seems to have gone out of stock at a lot of the places that would have for it a decent price so it was easier to just get the Cho-Z Achillez for alsmot the same price and we get a Bey too. (Although sounds like I'm not gonna let him battle with it)

Ahhh okay I got you. Thanks, sorry just getting used to all the Bey names.
