[Answered]  Is 2D good for attack?

Hi guys

Is 2D awakened good for attack?

Thanks in advance
You're asking if 2D, 2Defense, is good for attack once all the pink prongs break off.

No. It's big and bulky and heavy, but the attack surfaces are not great. Perhaps it is better suited for Stamina or Defense.

From what I’ve seen it’s pretty decent
Awakened 2D is used fairly frequently in the WBBA 5G format on attack combos. It doesn't see any use in the WBO format as it is outclassed by other attackers such as Rage 3A and it's rare to see two attack blades in WBO deck format.
Here is another trend regarding 2D as attacker. Some Korean beybladers use awakened 2D with Awakened/worn down Rise driver as same spin attacker. If you try with Rage and Jet or Abyss, you will be surprised at its performance. It does have great opposite spin LAD. A lot of "draws/ties" against Drift driver as opposite spin stealing game. Again, as mentioned above, it is in the format of WBBA .
Thanks

For more context, the combo I'm theorising is First Lucifer Destroy' (going for burst attack), so 3A is not an option

1A would still be that much better than awakened 2D then?
Probably, you'd have more luck with that.
Thanks for all the help! I will adjust my next shopping cart with that in mind!

Why Jet or Abyss, specifically?

For Abyss and Rage Likely due to the ability to slam into opponents cos it's Rise.
Abyss also can retain it's spin and draw mainly in Opp.
Jet maybe in Left in has rubber.
These are my guesses
Awakened 2D has fantastic attack!

Hello,
The following is one of Korean beyblader`s explanation regarding the combo (Awakened 2D and awakened rise) - https://arca.live/b/beyblade/22434809?ta...%A6%88&p=1
One blader explained the competitiveness of awakened 2D with worn down/flat rise driver combo last September. Once the sharp tip of rise becomes flat, it moves faster along the rim of stadium and has more LAD. Quick, Extreme, or Volcanic driver which used to move fast along the ridge in the past do not show the same performance due to increased weight of ring and chassis. Awakened rise is so far the fastest “ridge mover” among available drivers nowadays. When combined with awakened 2D which has comparable attack capability to 3A among double chassis, it does show expected performance level. Layer (ring and chip) is just so called “decoration”. Awakened 2D with awakened rise driver combination does everything. The downward facing plate with big diameter of 2D may lower self-knockout chance at most.
It moves fast on the ridge first, hitting the wall, bouncing back toward the center, knocks out the opponent which staying in the center. Or if the opponent moves at the ridge, then it chases, pushing to knock it out by awakened 2D. In case of opposite spin battle, you can launch hard if yours has poorer LAD, or launch soft if for sure has better LAD.

Average weight of sparking ring is ;
Rage (14.x) > Tempest (13) > Brave (12.2x) > Death (9.9x) > Abyss (9.6x) > Glide (8.7x) > Curse (8.5x) > Mirage (8.4x) > Super (6.4x) > King (6.0x) > Variant (5.8x)
The heavier the ring is, the slower but more momentum
The lighter, the faster but less momentum.
Depending on how hard you can launch, should choose proper ring.

Other comments regarding this:
1. Balanced rings such as abyss, jet, tempest or so should be used for this combo, otherwise it has higher risk of self-knockout.
2. Once rise is awakened, move faster, less stamina but better LAD. However, you should be skilled and strong.
