Location:
Heckscher Playground, Central Park (TheDivineBladeR and Near's tournament location)
New York City, NY

Directions:
From Midtown West:
The local train station on the West side is at the Time Warner Center, on West 57th St. or Columbus Circle under the big globe; both are within the same vicinity. Your ideal trains are the 1, A, C, B, and D trains.
If coming from New Jersey (Newark, Harrison, Jersey City, and Hoboken) via the NJ PATH, get off 33rd St. and take the B or D trains (only D trains on Weekends).
From Midtown East:
The local train station on the East side is at East 59th St and 5th Ave, near the Apple Store and the F.A.O. Shwarz. It is farther than the Midtown West stop. Ideal for players coming from Brooklyn, Queens, and Chinatown.

Time:
Registration is from 11:45 to 12:20 with the official start time being 12:35. It is recommended that you be there on time, if not earlier, to avoid lateness and complications. After 12:20, there will be no more registrations and Entrants that arrive later than 12:30 cannot enter. Once you're late, you cannot participate in the tournament. Please bear this in mind and come on time.

Entrance Fees:
One-time entrance fee is 5$ or 10$ gets you a Blader Passport which is valid for 365 days after purchase. Or, if you already have a Passport, you're all set.

Format:
Depends on the amount of entries.

Prizes:
To be determined...
  • If you have a BB-10 and wish to donate it for the tournament, it will be very much appreciated. The more BB-10s, the better. Please mark which is yours to avoid thefts and misplacements.
  • Please, PLEASE, PLEASE keep a hold on each and every part you own. We'd like to avoid thefts of all types, from Beyblades to game systems and laptops. Keep all your personal belongings close to your person at all times; do not leave them hanging around, as they are YOUR responsibility, and the tournament staff cannot be held liable for thefts.
  • There are concession stands located around the playground, but Kaji Motomiya recommends that you bring your own refreshments to save a bit from the overpriced drinks and food. There are restaurants located around Central Park after your time at the tournament is over.
  • Please, no "maybes". You're either going or you're not. We will not list you if you're "possibly", "probably", or "maybe" going. We'd like a firm and direct "yes" or "no" answer.

After The Tournament
there will be a strict 12 entrant (first come first serve) ZeroG Tournament. If you would like to enter, please make sure you can stay for a little while longer.

It was nice meeting you too Pocky haha, though I wish you could've played. Would've been nice to see how Canada throws down in the Big Apple.

That user who pulled the Archer Gargole took the very RB I was going to buy, god dammit. Freaking Pirates Revizer M145CF doesn't even begin to compare to a pure black Archer Gargole. I went 1-2 today, first time I didn't win majority of my matches. Combo of bad choices and bad, bad luck. Good job to je, who so far (along with Deikailo) has been the only person to beat me twice, and the only person to beat me across two different tournaments.

Jesse told me you had also forgotten your Beyblades too! What happened?! Serious
He came in, sold some stuff, realized what I looked like in person as we discussed some things, and then left.

I think Pocky also had fun checking out what US dollars looked like, haha. He took each bill and held it up to the sun and stretched it a few times experimentally.

Actually, we both tried to get the Gargole from the person who pulled it, but he wised up before we could get it from him. Now I can't get a Gargole unless someone sells it at the next one I can go to. Unhappy

Ah, haha I was in a rush while leaving, so I forgot to bring my beyblades with me to the US. I realized this in the megabus. I was planning on borrowing from somebody anyways, but apparently the US isn't as lenient.

Also...Bazooka(?) said for me to say Hi. Tongue_out

Yeah, I really apologize I couldn't stay longer to chat. Hopefully you can find a way down to crusade one day?

And, oh my god. American Money is interesting. I prefer Canada's colours, that way we don't have to read the number the bill has on it.

I really think your $1 bill is awesome though! So much better than having to carry around loonies and Toonies. ($1 and $2 coins in Canada)
Looks like Pockyx3 really enjoy US dollars and congratz to the winners wish i could compete but looks like i have to wait until next time well hope everyone had fun

Ah, that sucks. It's too bad they couldn't grant an exception for you, given how far you had traveled (unless you were like two hours late or something crazy like that, I mean).
I would've lent him but he never asked me...

Also, idk, I guess Pyro had already made the brackets before Pocky showed up. I told Pyro I would be late and arrived about 20 minutes late but I was still okay. Pocky showed up only 4 minutes or so after, but I don't think he told Pyro he would be late.

I want to battle with you next time Pocky! Oh god, I'd love to go to Crusade, but though my parents and I had very positive tournament experiences before this year's Crusade, Canada is too much for my parents to go to for a 'spinning tops tournament', especially when you're only 2 weeks after AP exams and 2 weeks before finals haha.

Maybe next year, but the chances are slim. Your mom(?) seemed chill with you coming down to NYC, so we should definitely battle again.
This tourney was epic!!!thanks laidbackblader and [pyro]!!!

Hopefully this year the tournament has a more original name though, as "catchy" as Crusade has become ...

Everyone was changing but i saw at least 4 duo aquario 230 MB.

Yeah, I didn't have reception as my carrier doesn't reach the U.S. It was fine, as I was mainly there to sell anyways.
Haha, unfortunately Ga, that won't happen for a very long time, if it ever does. I was here to visit my cousins. It just so happened that beyblade was occuring as well during my stay in NY. (And yes, that was my mother.) I'll be in Bethpage until the morning of the 31st, so if you want we can try to arrange a place to hang out?

If you want to play something on the level of Crusade come to NC in February. Colosseum is going to be huge.
Thanks for everyone that came and participated in the tournament. we hope to host another one soon. [pyro] would like to formally appologize to Pockyx3 for not letting him in. If he had relized it was him when he wanted to enter he would've made an exception since he came all the way from Canada. "I'M SOOOOOO SORRRY POCKYx3!!! I FEEL LIKE CARP. CARP CARPIN CARPPIDDY CARP CARP", says [pyro].

Hm, I'm pretty sure in the PM I sent him I said I was coming out from Toronto....(Unless he didn't know it was me that he met?) Anyways, tell him (or if he reads this) his apology is accepted, and that I wasn't that down about it. I wanted to play yeah, but my main reason was to meet with you guys and sell anyways, so it's all good.

I'm seriously hoping I can see you guys from the tournament again some other time.

Not just catchy, but meaningful too. I will definitely come up with a new name for next year, though.
