Fees: $5 entry. Free for Passport holders

$1 snack tickets available for one drink and snack of choice (while supplies last).

If you are under 16, it is mandatory for a parent to stay with you at this event!

Our first tournament was an overwealming success, so let's do it again...in Zero-G!

Just like last time, we'll have plenty of open play to accompany the tournament. If there's time after the tournament, we'll also give a team tournament a shot. Nothing WBO official, but Leone19 suggested we give this a shot for fun.

I'll post updates here when they're available.

Also, don't forget to add yourself to the BeyMap! CT needs representation!

We'll make sure to get you a spot in the bracket.
Great tournament all!

Everyone keep an eye out. Someone must have accidentally walked out with my Dark Knight Dragoon.

Also, southpaw. I think I have your Zero-G Stadium.

Congrats to hotrodalex, Leone19, and henryfig on their wins!
Another great turnout. Nice job everyone, & thanks rkalajian for hosting the tournament! Looking forward to Connecticon already.
Great time! I got second! I'm really happy, my firend and I had fun!
Great job Rkjalaian!
Dang, you finished fast ...

Congrats all!
We actually only made it through 10 rounds of the Round Robin, and ran out of time as the next person using the hall showed up.

For out next tournament we'll be running several round robin brackets to speed things up.

Also, as a note to everyone, it turns out a few more things of mine went missing (thankfully no more Beys, just my Dragooon) so I won't be providing extra launchers, parts, etc... any more at events. Please make sure to arrive with everything you need to compete.
We *thought* we could make it through a full round robin for all, no blocks, since at first there were only 11 confirmed. Then there were 16. Then 18. Make that 21....no 22! We were already committed to the full round robin and with 2 stadiums running (then 3) we were still optimistic.

LIVE AND LEARN!!!!Gasp

Time was called when the hall's second patrons of the day arrived and we were over our allotted time. With a quick 3 person round robin for 2nd,3rd,4th, it was over after 10 rounds, 110 matches and somewhere near 500 games!

The eventual winner, hotrodalex, went a perfect 10-0 with a brand new, just out of the box, Phantom Orion Hyperblade.

Since we left in a hurry I didn't have a chance to get specifics of individual Beys used, I can say there were at least 4-5 "X" Dragoon Synchrom Beys, 3 Diablo variances, and half a dozen or so unmodified Beys which appeared to have been bought that day or perhaps the day before as word spread and more people wanted to play.

Some points I'd like to mention for future bladers and parents:

- DO NOT reach into the stadium until the winner is declared. Bey Battles can be exciting and while you might be used to grabbing and getting ready for the next match when you "know" who's going to win, and this is the way you play at home, do so and you lose that game.

- If the event is scheduled to go through a meal time (10 am - 2 pm), bringing some snacks or packing a lunch wouldn't hurt. HUGE thank you to the parent who took the initiative to order some pizzas. I'm sure there were many people very thankful for your (hopefully not too costly) generosity. If an event is held at this location again (very likely) there is a full kitchen at our disposal for making/re-heating a meal.

- Having some kind of carrier/case for your Beys, that you USE, could mean the difference between going home with all your launchers and rip cords (not to mention Beys) or not.

If I think of any more, I'll be sure to post them!

Thanks to all our competitors!! This event was even bigger than the first one, and there were at least 5-6 (8-10?) from the first tournament that weren't able to make it to this one. This is great news for Beyblade in CT and southern New England.

See y'all at the next one Connecticon-clave!
Doc, I used a Killerken Dragoooon BGrin
I used a MSF-H Reviser Dragooon B:D, but still lost at least once with that combination haha
Agreed with Doc about waiting until the match is over to take your Beyblade out. I had to redo one or two of the matches I was judging because people were taking their beys out of the stadium while they were still in motion. Also guys, please don't take or use any beys that aren't yours without permission. It makes events like this less enjoyable when someone is going through your things without permission. All in all, I was pretty excited about the turnout, & I'm sure Connecticut tournaments will only get bigger from here.
I was using a Diablo Nemesis T125 RS, and I know dmkalajian was using a straight up Diablo Nemesis.

We got a lot of great experience in with this tournament, and I'm sure Connecticon-clave will be even better! I've got a few things extra planned, and I'll update the thread for that tournament once I get some things finalized.
Anyone have pics or footage? I have a little!
Bea took a bunch of pics and got some video clips. I just need to get them off my phone Smile Hopefully I'll get around to it by Tuesday.
If anyone else has clips/pics- please post, I'd love to make an iMovie of them and post it here!

It says the folder is empty vid wise.
Looks like the videos are still syncing. Give it about an hour Smile
No one worry, this is an unlisted video. Here is my slideshow/movie of yesterdays event! Please tell me what you think!

Nice video. What song is that?

Yeah break care break From DBZ Kai.
Great....proof that my kid was trash talk'n me...and then he beat me to boot! RRF is just too much in Zero-G I think.
Awesome job, Leone19!

Also, if anyone has any other pics/vids, let me know were I can snag 'em from. I'm going to put together some promotional material for future tournaments.

We don't have a Zero-G stadium, so I think that must belong to someone else. (I'm guessing there's no way he won it Tongue_out_wink )

Let me just echo what everyone else has said: great job and thank you for organizing another great event.

Who took the picture at the end of the winner and his booty?
Off topic of the vid, but did we send in the results yet?
