TOURNAMENT REFERAL CONTEST!
In an effort to make this as big as possible, I'm instating a tournament referal contest. The person to get the most referrals for NEW WBO members at the date of the tournament will recieve a FREE Flame Byxis 230WD OR Quetzalcoatl 90WF - your choice! - at the start of the tournament. I will keep a tally of how many new sign-ups and at the end of tournament registration, I will announce the winner. Keep 'em coming!

Hey, guys and gals! It's going to be my 21st birthday in two weeks and I wanted to celebrate it by doing what I love most. This is an open invitation indoor tournament with a $5 entry fee additional to the WBO fees. The winner of the tournament will recieve a gift certificate to the store in the amount collected. Also, there's pocky for sale.

SO IN OTHER WORDS:
Entry + purchase of a passport = $15 fee
Entry + one time WBO tournament fee = $10
Entry + existing passport = $5

You pay $5 on top of the WBO's fee. Passports are one year unlimited admissions to any WBO event around the world. They cost $10 for the entire year. If you do not plan on attending more events, you may pay the WBO $5 for this one time. On top of what you pay the WBO, you have to pay $5 to the store for the use of their space, however, that $5 per person is counted as store credit, which the total amount will be given to the first place winner.

Time: Noon
Date: January 23rd, 2011
Place: Kings Games in Brooklyn, NY
(directions are available on their website)
Format: Block Round Robin

If the store manager sees that the attendence is high, we can discuss future organized game play as a regular venue. The store has been nominated for best organized gameplay and they are looking to collect video of this tournament to be featured if they win the award. So...

Let's make this big so we can have a Beyhangout!

I don't think you can sell the yugioh cards at all. If I recall correctly King's games has a problem with people trading in the store also and selling cards that they sell. I doubt they have any objections with selling the beys as it does not take any business away from them yet since they do not have Beys in stock.
Yeah, they have a rule against selling. You get kicked out if you get caught (this guy trying to sell me a red dragon archfiend got kicked out once lol), I think you have to ask them to become an authorized vendor. (I think the rules about that are on their site) But, since they don't sell beys. I don't see a problem as ikmv said.

(Trading is allowed, just on the second floor. They don't let you do anything on the first floor lol)

im in the tournament
put in flamearies123 and dranzerallday1
dranzer... there was no need to quote the whole opening (whoa, i'm getting deja vu all over again)... if i recall, u quoted the whole opening before at another tourney thread... dude, u seriously gotta stop doing that....

beykiller read the opening... it explains....
Quote: Entry + purchase of a passport = $15 fee
Entry + one time WBO tournament fee = $10
Entry + existing passport = $5
you new yorkers are lucky cus you have tournaments unlike states like mine ohio...i can barely find bladers at least ones that are 10 and up
well the best way to do it is to talk in the thread for ohio... or start one (but i highly suggest you search to see if there's already an ohio thread...)
Cyber Red, is Counter Green attending?

He is, and he's so exited I had to launch my bey on his foot to calm him down. If you are bringing a friend who doesn't have an account, do they have to pay the fee?
I think they do, but i'm not sure. and about the card selling thing, I'll just do it outside of the store. Probably before the tournament starts. Also, my other cousin Bakushin White might come. 38+ people...Eee
If you aren't registered then you cannot enter the tournament.
lol. my girlfriend's nervous. she can't believe that 38+ people will be attending. XD
edit: forgot to add the 2nd part of my comment. lol. ALL people who join the tourney have to pay. no exceptions. payment costs are in the opening.

I'll be bringing my laptop to register new members.
You New Yorkers are lucky I live in Jacksonville and there will never be a tornament and Skyprince you promise to record the finals?!
Jacksonville where? And have you even tried to promote a tournament?
I am the friend that Cyber Red is referring to, put me on the list. I get a token since i am a referral right? That's what Cyber told me. Honestly, that's the only reason why i am coming. I will have 1 token from the start, and everyone else will have 1!
Yeah, pretty much. You get a token when you sign up. Just say his name at the registration counter.

wait im confused so your handing out the tokens or the store because you said registration counter.
I'm probably thinking ahead, but when do you think the next tournament will be? Could it be in Queens or the Bronx next time? It could be in Manhattan too, but Brooklyn and Staten Island are toughies for me.
Right now it's Kings Games since that's what we have right now. I don't know of any hobby stores in BX, but I'd be willing to help you look.

I'm turning a table into the counter to sign in to the tournament.
lol. yes, i will be recording the finals. =) don't worry
Is there Transportation? If there isn't then I maybe cant come. But if there is and if it can be sent to Spring Valley then alright.
lol. wow dani and ikmv... didn't know you were an "it". lol wow. i would have never figured. XD jk jk
yes, there is transportation but u have to consult Deikailo or IKMV about it... (i don't mean to push it on you two... we are really grateful to you guys. Smile)

Theres always another side to the coin, Bronx and queens can be toughies for others
lol. don't forget, you could always start a tournament in your general area (example,: Long Island). just make sure you watch what the hosts (example: Deikailo) is doing so you know how to run your own tournament. And if you have any questions regarding hosting, you can ask an experienced host or Kai-V.

Oh, that's right by Nyack! Haha, I went to school near there.

Anyway, I think Limeguy64 is coming from that general area. You should PM him and ask how he is getting to the tournament. I think he's coming from Nanuet, if I'm not mistaken.
