TOURNAMENT REFERAL CONTEST!
In an effort to make this as big as possible, I'm instating a tournament referal contest. The person to get the most referrals for NEW WBO members at the date of the tournament will recieve a FREE Flame Byxis 230WD OR Quetzalcoatl 90WF - your choice! - at the start of the tournament. I will keep a tally of how many new sign-ups and at the end of tournament registration, I will announce the winner. Keep 'em coming!

Hey, guys and gals! It's going to be my 21st birthday in two weeks and I wanted to celebrate it by doing what I love most. This is an open invitation indoor tournament with a $5 entry fee additional to the WBO fees. The winner of the tournament will recieve a gift certificate to the store in the amount collected. Also, there's pocky for sale.

SO IN OTHER WORDS:
Entry + purchase of a passport = $15 fee
Entry + one time WBO tournament fee = $10
Entry + existing passport = $5

You pay $5 on top of the WBO's fee. Passports are one year unlimited admissions to any WBO event around the world. They cost $10 for the entire year. If you do not plan on attending more events, you may pay the WBO $5 for this one time. On top of what you pay the WBO, you have to pay $5 to the store for the use of their space, however, that $5 per person is counted as store credit, which the total amount will be given to the first place winner.

Time: Noon
Date: January 23rd, 2011
Place: Kings Games in Brooklyn, NY
(directions are available on their website)
Format: Block Round Robin

If the store manager sees that the attendence is high, we can discuss future organized game play as a regular venue. The store has been nominated for best organized gameplay and they are looking to collect video of this tournament to be featured if they win the award. So...

Let's make this big so we can have a Beyhangout!

lol. i really hope i'm not in ikmv's or joseph's block... i don't wanna get pwned the first round. Pinching_eyes_2"
Hm, What is Block Round Robin. I tried googling it but did not find an answer.

I hope I'm in sky's block (So I can pwn him)
Hopefully all of my both of my shipments come in before the tournament date.
Block round robin is in the standard rules.

The concerns about top tier bladers facing other top tier bladers too early is a major concern of mine. It's a topic I'm taking up with the committee. I want to organize it so friends don't battle friends (since they will know their friends' strengths and weakness, creating a very predictable match) and so top tier bladers will because the "block leaders" - the bladers, based on previous tournaments, that are expected to advance.

These decisions of course, are to be decided among the staff, but I think if it's already pre-arranged, it will make for a better tournament. I would allow them to review what I've put together and have them approve it. None of you will know until the tournament, of course.

I only know like, 10 of the probably 50 people coming. It's just an excuse to get the lazy people I know to come.

I'm taking your friend off, too?
Round Robin=More tokens too!
I want joeseph in my block simply to beat him early on in the tournament and Ahh it's only 24 now

well see, well see hope you got better i want you to at least give me competition lol i dont realy like beating people all the time but i will always try my hardest.
The more you put "I want ____ in my block" or "I don't want _____ in my block", the more I'm tempted to do the exact opposite of what you're saying if I get my way. Stop hinting.

You're sounding ever so more like the "cocky" people you say you hate.

Also Dei, when you make your blocks. How are you going to account for people who, show but are not listed and confirmed, or people who are listed but do not come?

No trash talk here.

Blanks for guests, confirmed but no show will turn into blanks. The blocks would not be finalized until the tournament, just a rough draft.

Again, the committee would have to approve this.

You got it, Cye. You come up with better ideas than I do so I'm sure you know what you're talking about when you say you want these bladers in your block. Smile
lol. fine! "i want joseph and ikmv in my block"... jk jk haha, i'm only messing with you dani. =) i'm just as excited as you are. XD
jonn, weren't you the one who lost to Jospeh and me first few rounds of my freeplay? and weren't you the one placing a dark wheel on an attack combo at my freeplay? XD
to give this comment more purpose:
how many blocks are we going to have playing at once?
3-4 blocks are going to be ran at one time. I nominate Bluezee, Cye, and IKMV to help me run these blocks. We'll have staff judge if/when it's your turn to fight.

You can't be more excited than I am. No one can. I haven't had a solid night's sleep since the last tournament. I keep walking up in the middle of the night thinking I overslept and missed the tournament.
... my dad says ill see if i can come when my older sister comes home

I has a secret weapon

Anyway Deikailo when you say staff do you mean Kings Games Staff?
The staff at Kings games does not know much about Beyblade to my knowledge. So I think she meant Bluezee,Cye and IKMV.

Also guys, don't be afraid to come early if you want. I know a good way to spend your $5 kings games fee. They have a game center at the end of the first floor where you can play a game for a certain amount of time depending on how much you pay, like Brawl or something.
staff judges??? =D *points at self* =D can i? can i?... nah, you don't have to pick me for that... i might be battling one of them when the time comes.
but yeah, i really wanna get some new blades... i got $10 at my disposal and another $10 for my girlfriend and my entry fee... which reminds me... could i use my entry fee to buy a facebolt from you dani?
lol. i can be as excited as you... i'm willing to run out of my door right now and run over to kings games and wait another week. XD
Yes. If they want the award for "best organized gameplay", I think it would be fair if we split the responsibility for it; they can handle the "organized" part and we can do the "gameplay" part.

I seriously don't think you'd have the attention span. You'd be all "ZOMG FREE BATTLE ME" if your block wasn't up.

Facebolts and reshuffles are going to be strictly prizes. Beyblades and stadiums will be for sale.
lol. nahh. i don't... ok. maybe my attention span may be weak but its not that bad. i did that at your last tourney because i needed to test something out with my blade... but i highly doubt that would happen again since my blade is in tip top shape this time (no stone floors, right?)
and yeah, are there any beyblades i could buy off you dani with $10? XD
