I just remembered (3 Days later Pinching_eyes_2) that we only had nine Metal Fury tops to choose from:
Cosmic Pegasus W105R2F, Fang Leone 130W2D, Forbidden Ionis ED145FB, L-Drago Destructor LW105LF, Scythe Kronos T125EDS, Beat Lynx AD145WD, Variares 145WB, Spiral Lyre ED145MF, and Spiral Fox TR145W2D. So late to mention this Uncertain
There was only 1 other blader at mine because the rest were 3 year olds who diddn't know what they were doing. He was kinda good, I told him about the WBO and I believe he is joining. We were the only ones to battle each other and I was the last to leave out of allof them! It was free play but I believe I "won." The winner and loser bolth get wristbands and so did everyone in between.

(Oct. 07, 2012  8:19 PM)Insomniac Wrote: [ -> ]At my local TRU, a total of five other people showed up, including Guitar Wolf, who came with me. There wasn't really any organized event, just free-play to promote the Metal Fury line. The Hades Gate and the new Pegasus stadium were set up, and a couple of Face-Off sets opened for kids to use. You could use whatever you brought with you, and there was no age limit. I'd say everyone had a pretty good time, even the employees!

For the most part, I helped some kids with customizing, gave some general tips, and taught the employees a little about the game. The employees at the event were actually pretty cool, ha ha. I taught the guy who was in charge of the tournament how to properly assemble his Bey and kind of helped him run the show. Other employees came by throughout the event and joined in on the fun. One of them even played Beyblade back in the plastic days, though, I'm not too sure if he still has any of his.

During part of the event, I told a couple of the moms there and their kids about the WBO, tournaments, credits and the rewards, and signed up two of the kids. They all liked the idea of well-organized bimonthly tournaments with prizes. The moms and their kids mentioned that several of their friends who play Beyblade as well could not make it to the TRU event that day, but would definitely be interested in any WBO event nearby. I mentioned a little bit about Zero-G, but I figured it'd be better to explain at a tournament.

At the end, two Face-Off sets remained unopened, miscellaneous parts lay strewn across the table which we played on, an inch-tall stack of coupons sat untaken, and Guitar Wolf's lemonade soda was drunk. The man who was running the event took a Bey home for his son, the other employee who played Beyblade during the plastics era ran off with a Meteo L-Drago and some parts to make his own Bey, and I got a ripcord-launcher, a tool, a Twisted Befall BD145, and an unopened bag of Beyblade wristbands.

At my tournament, only me and some other guy showed up so we got free prizes. I got the Cosmic Pegasus Stadium >:3 The other guy got the Hades Gate Stadium.
(We also both got the L-Drago Destructor and Forbidden Striker Pack and the wristbands)
Are there tournaments at toys r us all the time?

no you can check this site http://www.beybladebattles.com/home.php and choose your language and country/state and it will tell you if there is any beybalde HASBRO tournaments. you are allowed to use takara tomy brand Grin they really didnt care in my tourney :
specter187, the general rule is that no, there are very rarely any tournaments anywhere outside Asia. That is why the whole Beyblade community relies on the World Beyblade Organization for events.
Are the tournaments at every Toys R Us
I believe there WERE tournaments at every toys r us. But as of now there are none that are known of that will happen/are happening.
At my Toys R Us I came in 2nd and I won Cosmic Pegasus W105R²F,Scythe Kronos T125EDS,Beat Lynx AD145WD,and Variares 145WB.
I chose Variares because L-Drago and Leone were taken and I already had the other 3 beyblades and I needed a new WB and I thought it would be good for Defence in Zero-G Stadiums. I also won a Gravity Destroyer Stadium and a Black Sun Galaxy Pegasus GB145MS
Does anyone know when the next one is in Illinois is.
I'll go to tournaments next time.

There is none coming up ...
There probably will be some when Shogun steel is out. Hasbro usually had these when new stuff was released. (First were when Masters came out, Second wave of them when fury was somewhat new, so maybe late summer/fall when shogun steel is out)
I found out about a tournament today! There will be a TRU Beyblade tournament at all TRU's on March 16th! I love the fact that they are giving away a free Mercury Anubis Brave Version if you spend 20$ or more on Beyblade products! I'm definitely going to the tourney. If anyone wants more info click here.
Aw man, the age limit... And I wanted that Anubis...
It says we need to register. Doesn't it say that for all of the tournaments and we never have to? And that mercury anubis looks awesome!
And didn't they always have that age limit, but never care enough to actually check your age?
haha yes, I put it in the wrong thread, but exactly what BeybladePants11 said, It is all over Canada on March 16th, 2013, registration for it starts in store on February 23 (yesterday), and 1st place prize is 1 beyblade official handbook, 1 beyblade tote, 1 beyblade keychain, 1 metal fury stadium, 4 metal fury tops, and 1 limited edition brave Mercury Anubis! This tournament is going to be so awesome, and as beybladePants11 said, check out toysrus.ca/beyblade for more info!
Wait, is it only in Canada?

Unfortunately, yes, Leone19 had sent an email to Toys R' Us America, to know if there will be an American tournament soon. As for now however, it will only be Canada Unhappy
