I've always wanted to see the other side of the endless body of water that has never been explored. People say that if you go far enough, you'll fall off the earth. Cetus and I know differently. My name is Tobi McDowson. My bey, Earth Cetus 230rs and I have been together since my birth. We have explored many places undersea. We know it is out there.
"Tobi! Are you coming?" my friend Jay and I have known each other forever. She has long, brown hair, just like mine, which I find beautiful. Her entire composure has pretty written all over it. Her gleaming green eyes glisten when she stares in the direction of the sun. I like her, yes, but I don't think she likes me as more than a friend. Plus, I've known Jay forever. It would be awkward just to blab in that extremely important little piece of information. Plus, I was kind of outclassed compared to her, with pale skin and blue eyes that clashed with my hair, not to mention everything I wear, which is mostly orange. All of this reran through my head again in less than a second, when my mouth caught up with my head and said,
"I'll be right there. I just dropped my beypointer."
when we launched our beys, my Cetus and her MF-H Wind Leone s130rdf, clashed, and Leone was pushed back.
"I told you, wind is a light wheel, and it kinda stinks. Too bad you didn't listen. Cetus! Earthen Hydro Strike!" Cetus enveloped the stadium in a whirlpool, then the stadium erupted upwards, launching Leone, which had stopped spinning, and a thousand gallons of water into the air, which then came splashing all over the park.
"I still don't know how the water gets there," she said.
"I told you, the negative energy from the..." I trailed off. I could tell she wasn't listening. She came over to me and whispered,
"Don't look now, but there's the highest ranked blader in the city, Darwin Ederson!" a bey, a Vulcan Byxis th170r2f, was rushing around the park, knocking over other beys. My blood rushed. I had to battle him.

"Let it RIP!!!" Vulcan Byxis and my Cetus were off, and Byxis was getting under me and slashing into my Earth wheel. I wasn't sent flying because of the rs tip, but I did wobble a bit. My tip acted like it usually does, and knocked into Vulcan Byxis at a weird angle, messing up its smash attack. It regained its balance in the center, and it was almost a wrap.
"Cetus! Special move! Skyward Whirlpool!" The great whale appeared in a swirl of water that rammed Byxis high in the sky. Darwin snickered, but concealed it. The bey was in a standstill in midair. I understood what he was doing.
"You're not touching the ground, which gives you no friction! And you're out of range of my whirlpool! You plan to outspin a defense type!" He nodded, and used his special move to keep himself in the air.
"Special move! Aerial Magnetic field!" The Compass appeared, and he used the magnet to throw himself even higher, to sustain his position. In les than 5 minutes, this had continued, with Cetus unable to do anything, and I spun out. I couldn't do anything.
"It's okay. You still gained beypoints, even though you lost, because you happened to take longer than any other blader that has battled him so far." Jay seemed okay, even though she was sad I had lost.
"I gained 1 beypoint. Wonderfulness." I didn't care.
"Well, it's better than losing points! You're still gonna qualify for the championships! Then you can go on your big adventure across the sea!" When she said this, a man looked at us and walked over. It was my uncle Steven.
"Hey, kiddo! You didn't tell me about a girl!" My uncle took off his hat, revealing a near bald, gray-haired head. He was stout, but his height made up for it. He was 6'4", and he seemed to tower over you.
"Unc! Shut up!" I was discontented. We left him, ending the conversation. We went over to my shop, the Bey Way, and exchanged Jay's wind light wheel for a rock wheel.
"It may have a lot of recoil, but it's the best Defense wheel we have right now. We had a lot of kids coming in here to exchange parts." A few minutes later, after Jay and I were in the maintenance room, we heard the ring of the bell on the door. Someone was here. I went upstairs to find a man looking at metal wheels in the display case.
"Are you looking for something in particular?" I asked the man. He looked up.
"Ah, yes, I didn't see you. Do you happen to have a Diablo metal wheel?"
I looked around the shop and in the storage. I found one, and brought it out to him.
"That'll be $14.39." The man paid, and used our complimentary tools to replace a ray wheel.
"Would you like to trade in that old wheel for cash or our store credits? The credits give you more money off your purchase than if you just trade in for money. The credits expire in 12 months, though."
"I'm good, thanks. My son would like the ray wheel." He wandered the sop around the tracks area, and then left. I was about to close up shop to work on some fix requests, when 3 kids came in saying that their beys were destroyed by some guy in a black coat. That might have been the guy from before, but I doubted it. The kids did say it was a shiny bey with a Diablo wheel, though, and then I figured it was the man from earlier.
"It's okay, kids. I'll have the work done by tomorrow." They smiled, handing me their beys. I went down to the shop room to find Jay getting up to leave.
"You leaving?" I asked.
"No, actually, I was going to look at some stuff upstairs. I think I should change s130 to the new piece, rd160. It rolls freely on the track, and it's kinda like a mix between bd145 and ed145. It just fits on more than 1 metal wheel."
"Yeah, I know. I have them down in the basement storage. Come on. I was just about to go there too, to get that track. It fits perfectly on Earth. Plus, I'm tired of being beat up by tall attack types." We went downstairs, and in the basement we got the parts and attached them to our beys. I rolled it, with it perfectly fitting right under the Earth wheel. I started to feel uncomfortable in the dimly lit room with Jay, even though I had gotten used to being around her. Then she did something very surprising.
"Tobi?"
"Yes?" She walked up to me and kissed me. I was so surprised, I backed off. She took it a different way.
"Oh. I see." She stopped, and left.
"Jay, wait..." it was pointless. I wouldn't be able to express myself for a while, I could tell. It was going to be a long night.
"Cetus! Special move! Skyward Whirlpool!" The great whale appeared in a swirl of water that rammed Byxis high in the sky. Darwin snickered, but concealed it. The bey was in a standstill in midair. I understood what he was doing.

"Jay! Wait up!" I ran after her, but she had always been faster than me, so I fell behind. I was disappointed and lonely because I had lost my best friend.
"Jay..." I was very tired. I went back home to find Darwin looking around my shop.
"Can I help you, Darwin?" I asked, walking behind the counter.
"Yes. I'm looking for a flash metal wheel. I find that Vulcan is outclassed, and I have come close to losing to the generic defense type, basalt aquario 230rs. I'll use my 105 that I have, so I don't need a new track."
"Sure thing. The Flash metal wheels, along with a lot of the new pieces, like rd160, are in the storage room, because we just got them shipped yesterday. I'll be right back." I went downstairs and pulled out a box. I didn't ind a flash wheel, but the rd160 tracks. My mind flashed back to last night. I then just stood there, in shock because I screwed up my chance with Jay.
"You coming? I need that metal wheel. I have a battle in thirteen minutes in the park." I snapped back to reality and got out the box with the flash metal wheels. I went upstairs and handed one to Darwin.
"That'll be $18.41," I said, walking up to the register, "and would you like credits or cash for the Vulcan metal wheel?"
"Could I get credit? I'll be back here in two days to upgrade my defense type with that new track, and I wanna save as much money as possible."
"Got it. You have a total of 70 credits. That's enough to get the entire track free, and then some. You've really contributed to the shop recently, Darwin. Thanks for the support. I'll see you later." I jogged down the stairs to the maintenance room, and worked on another broken bey that a kid brought in here, with the same complaint as the three that came in here the other day. I went to work, noticing that the most destroyed part of it was the metal face bolt, which was torn into 6 pieces. It took me 2 hours to finish. It wasn't too hard, but it did take time to finish the face bolt. I walked upstairs with it to hear the clink of the bell and see Jay walking in.
"A Duo metal wheel. I need something good, and could I turn in this 135 track? It turns out to work in no combos whatsoever."
"Jay..."
"Shut up! Just get the Duo wheel!" I walked over to a display case and got out a Duo wheel.
"How much?" She asked.
"Complimentary." I handed it to her.
"HOW MUCH?"
"You've never had to pay for anything before, Jay, and you don't have to start now. You're still my friend, and I... love you." She left without the Duo wheel and left the 135 track on the counter. As she walked out the door, she said,
"Liar."

"Let it RIP!" My new Duo wheel that I got from my store, the same one that Jay left in the store, was on my Cetus, gleaming brightly from my fixing it earlier today.
"It's an exiting first round here in the Megabey Tournament!"the DJ was pumped, and was nearly screaming into the microphone. "As stated before, this is the qualifying round for who shall enter Battle Bladers! Only bladers with 10,000 beypoints and up can enter! Right now we have Tobi with his Duo Cetus rd160rs facing the owner of Meteo Ldrago d125rdf, Gerrard! And it looksas if the spin stealer is using its specialty to gain spin strength!" The DJ gleamed at the battle, being so pumped from all the sugar I had seen him eat before coming here.
"Yeah! go now Ldrago! Steal his spin!" The kid's efforts were confident, but futile.
"Spin-stealing doesn't work on a freely rotating spin track. You're just blowing hot air. Go now, Cetus! Dual Tsunami Rush!" The great whale appeared, and the enveloped the opposing bey with a Tsunami, followed by another wave of a greater mass.
"No! Ldrago!" Gerrard was barely hanging on after the giant special move, but in a few seconds his tip's plastic edge scraped and his bey fell over, defeated.
"Tobi moves on to the second round, and we just finished round 1! The remaining contestants are: Jay, Darwin, Joshua, Ariel, Dagu, Selestia, Arupo, and Tobi! Round two starts now! Jay and Tobi, please take your positionat the stadium! Bladers, take your mark! 3! 2! 1! Let it Rip!!!"
"Go, Cetus!"
"Leone!" Her bey clashed against mine, and she didn't have a rock wheel, I could tell by the way that her Leone didn't have any recoil when it hit my Duo wheel. It was also too wide. It was a Phantom Wheel.
"Jay! Phantom always loses to Duo wheels! You should've taken the complimentary wheel when you had the chance. Go, Cetus! Dual Tsunami Rush!" My special move started to take effect.
"If you hadn't lied to me, then it all would've worked out fine! Leone! Go now!" Her Leone was barely resisting my special move. In a minute, the gigantic wave would tower on top of Leone.
"But I didn't lie! I do love you! Do you remember the time, just a few days ago, when you battled me with your wind wheel? During that battle, I was thinking of how beautiful you are, even if you lose, how your spirit is always up, how you're always optimistic, even in the toughest situation? You are everything to me. I was just... embarrassed to tell you." She lifted her eyebrows at that. I don't think she expected me to follow through, because she actually thought I was lying.
"Please, Jay, I-" the Tsunami came crashing down on her and her bey. She was about to say something mean, when the next Tsunami came crashing down.
"That's it." She picked up her Leone, who had stopped spinning, and left. I was devastated. I fell to my knees and my Cetus came to my side. It rolled under me and when I started to cry, it caught my tears.
At least I have you, friend, I thought. I got up, sniffled, and walked away. I felt much better.
Thank you, Cetus. The DJ's voice faded as I walked into the blader's locker room.

"Go! Horuseus!" I saw a blader training with what I saw as a Amazon Horuseus 230cs. Amazon was a newly released attack type metal wheel with vine patterns all along the side. It was so new, my shop hadn't even started ordering it yet. It was untested, but the blader was doing quite well, knocking the punching bags and other equipment around the room. The boy had short, blondish-silver hair and brown eyes. He was sweating very hard from all the training he had been doing.
"Go! Special move! Night Falcon!" The Egyptian god, incarnated as a falcon, appeared and slashed at the training equipment with its talons.
"Hey, you're pretty good." I walked over to him. He turned around and picked up his bey.
"Thank you. My name is Arupo. My bey, as you can tell, is an Amazon Horuseus 230cs. I know you and your bey, Tobi. I saw you in the tournament. I am a huge fan of your protective track that totally destroys any spin stealer. Hey, look! The second battle is starting!" I turned towards the TV screen, where the DJ was calling two bladers to the stadium.
"All right, now we have Selestia Vs. Dagu! Bladers, please approach the stadium." I saw a young girl with short, blonde hair step up closest to the view we were looking at. A large, dark-coated man stepped up opposite to her. I recognized him from somewhere, but I couldn't remember.
"3, 2, 1, LET IT RIP!!!!" The bey that the man launched had a shiny tint to it. It was reminiscent of...
"That's the man from before! The guy that slashed apart a bunch of kids' beys apart! They all came to my store saying a weird guy attacked them with a Diablo something bey. We have to stop him!" Arupo ran out of the room. I hoped he could make it. I watched the battle for a few seconds, and then felt like I had to help. I ran out of the room and into the stadium, the sun blinding me.

"Cetus! attack now!" I called to my Cetus.
"Go, now, Horuseus! Jungle Rampage!"
"Cetus! Great Whale Slash!" The stadium was filled with smoke from the power of the beys in it. When it cleared, Dagu, the evil, dark-coated man, was standing, laughing very hard. His bey, which I could tell was a Diablo Aquario h145ms, wasn't budged.
"How can this be? The bey has horrid balance with its sharp tip." I was confused.
"Ah! There is something called anti-attack. It kind of aggressively defends. I use it like this. Aquario!!!!" The evil, dark-colored bey launched itself at my Cetus. The evil bey jumped, and came over me with the ms tip right above me. It ground into my Cetus,, and it stopped spinning.
"Cetus!" It then did the same thing to Arupo, and the Selestia.
"... According to official WBBA rules, the winner is Dagu due to illegal interference! Dagu moves on!" The crowd boo'd the DJ.
"Hey, I'm sorry, but I can't change the rules." They then turned to Dagu, the heartless fiend walking away from the damaged scene. They boo'd at him, until he launched his bey at an audience member, knocking the kid out. They quieted down, and the tournament continued. I picked up my Cetus and Horuseus, and brought them to my shop. Arupo followed me. I repaired them all night, and Arupo had to stay the night. It was 11:12, when we heard the clink of the bell from the door. We went upstairs to find Jay, standing in the doorway.
"Hey, Tobi. Who's your friend?" She turned to Arupo.
"This is my friend I met at the tournament, Arupo. His and my beys broke during the tournament, and I was just fixing them. So how come you're here?" I asked, ready for something mean to come out of her mouth. I would usually find her joyous and happy, but she was serious lately. Probably because of what happened between us.
"Um, Tobi? Could I talk to you?" I looked to Arupo, and he got the message. He went downstairs.
"Tobi, I just... I want to say I'm sorry that I didn't believe you. It's just, when you backed off that one night, I felt more sadness than I ever had before. That may not be much, though, 'cause you know how cheery a person I am." We both smiled. She continued.
"I just..." I put my finger to her lips. I understood, and she knew it. I took her into my arms, and she hugged back. We went downstairs afterward. We all fell asleep on the pull-out sofa. I dreamed about her, but most of my subconscious mind was on the fact that there was an evil guy out there, and I might have to face him. Alone.
"Go, now, Horuseus! Jungle Rampage!"

Alone.

"No... no!" I woke up, sweating heavily. I was dreaming about the tournament that was going to continue at 11:00 today. I looked at my watch, and it read 10:15. Then I realized what that really meant.
"Ahh! I'm gonna be late!" I ran into my room, showered, brushed my teeth, put on deodorant, and changed into my usual clothes, jeans with my belt hanging down with beyblade gear attached, and an orange t-shirt under a brown jacket. I ran outside with my bey, only to find it very dark outside. I was confused, because my watch read 10:47. The streets were empty, and there were no lights on in the surrounding biuldings. I then realized I was being pranked. I turned around to find three kids that I recognized from the beypark. I then remembered what I had to do.
"Oh, sorry guys, I totally forgot about the training I was going to give you. It was interfering with the tournament, so you woke me up early." I looked at the nearest clock.
"But why 4 in the morning?" One of the kids walked up.
"I have a Vapor Tempo 125rf. Now, we're battling with you, because I don't care about time! It could be midnight on January 3rd, and -14 degrees F out, and I would still battle!" The three beys were launched, and Cetus was voluntarily launched by me.
"Go Cetus! Dual Tsunami Rush!" My bey's waves came crashing down, but there were only two stopped beys on the ground.
"Where's Vapor Tempo?" I asked.
"That's my specialty! My bey can turn into water vapor! Now go!" The bey came crashing down on Cetus, and I woke up.

When I actually woke up, I saw Arupo and Jay already up, making breakfast. From my dream, I remembered that I had to train those three kids. I couldn't do it though, because it was already 9:30. I called the kids up and told them I would have to do it during the weekend, and they were fine about it. I then walked back into the kitchen to find a plate of eggs, milk, and toast covered in strawberry jelly on the counter in front of where I usually sit.
"Thanks guys, for the breakfast." I said through a mouthful of hot eggs which I then quickly gulped down with a large sip of milk.
"No problem, especially as you and I both will have a very long day." Arupo finished his breakfast and stated he was going early to warm up. I grabbed my Cetus as soon as I finished breakfast and followed quickly behind the fast-moving Arupo. We were off to finish the second round of the tournament.
"All right!" The DJ started. "We are halfway through the second round of this Megabey tournament! Dagu and Tobi have already won, leaving six members still in it, and after the second round is over, only 4 bladers will remain! May we have Joshua and Arupo come forth to the stadium? Okay! We have Amazon Horuseus 230cs facing against Phantom Lynx TH170RDF! 3! 2! 1! LET IT RIP!!!" Lynx started a small attack pattern, but the very quick and lightweight bey with the cs tip outran it and started slashing away from above, which was advantageous with the Amazon metal wheel, because of its vine-like pattern that ran along its side and the bottom. The battle looked like a wise bird slashing and clawing at a defenseless cat. It seemed the battle wouldn't last long, as the feline animal began to wobble.
"Now, Lynx! Change Height!" The spin track extended at perfect timing, right as the Hawk was striking. The Egyptian god was thrown back, and the cat regained its balance and position.
"Go, Lynx! Slash that bird pest into smithereens!" The cat struck and grew even taller at the same time, knocking the hawk into the air. Arupo smiled.
"Right where I want you. Horuseus! Jungle Rampage!" the bey turned upside-down and went behind the cat, and slashed it while upside-down. It knocked Lynx out of the stadium and gave Arupo a position in the top 4.
"Wow, what a battle! The tables turned twice! Arupo took the win in the end, though, and now we are about done with the second round! Could we have Darwin and Ariel with their beys, Flash Byxis TH170r2f and Grand Serpent 145w2d, respectively, battle for the fourth spot in the semifinals? Yes, okay. Bladers ready? 3! 2! 1! LET IT RIP!!!"
"Go now, Byxis! Blinding Downward Slash!" The compass appeared, and then evaporated into a blinding white light. I could hear the sound of metal shredding.
"It's... not... OVER!!!" When the light faded, there was a severely shredded Grand Serpent spinning quite slowly. There was also a Flash Byxis, unchanged from its powerful attack.
"I don't care how badly damaged my bey is, how much it wobbles, or even if it scrapes the ground and stops! I will continue! I won't stop until my bey and I are completely annihilated! Serpent! Snake Coil!" The snake appeared, but its face was scarred. It wrapped itself slowly around its opponent and the attack type slightly wavered.
"I'm sorry Ariel, but this time you can't overcome me. You've been defeated." The girl whimpered, remembering the last time they battled.
"No, you can't win. Even at this rat, you'll spin out before me. Sorry, Ariel, but Byxis, Flash Meteor." The bey easily escaped the extremely weakened special move, and flew up into the air with an extreme amount of momentum. In an instant, it flew back down and the Serpent was destroyed. The bey had been completely, utterly annihilated. It had spun out before Byxis came crashing down, it was thrown out of the stadium on impact, and it had broken into seven different pieces. The bey would not work again. Ariel's statement during the battle came true. She was completely destroyed. She had lost in three ways. It was over.
"Well, at that moment, we have our top four! Who will make it to the top? In just a few minutes, we will begin the semifinals! There will now be a 15 minute break. Don't forget to watch all the way to the finals, folks!" The DJ was even shaken up at that battle.
"I guess I'll be facing Darwin, and you'll be facing Dagu." I stated to Arupo.
"Yes. We will certainly need to be careful." Arupo looked down upon the stadium. We both thought in unison, without saying it, that it would be a very, very long day.

"We are currently at the semifinals! Our break is over, and our bladers are pumped!" The DJ was clearly ecstatic. "We now have Dagu and Aquario VS. Arupo and Horuseus! 3! 2! 1! LET IT RIP!!!" Horuseus maintained an offensive pattern and was knocking around Aquario to the point where it was on the verge of a stadium out. It was nearly over.
"Now, Aquario!!! Aquatic Rebound!" The dark-colored bey was coated in a whirlpool that sent Horuseus flying with twice as much force as the erlier barrage.
"Come on, Arupo! Hang in there!" I shouted. It ws useless. The hawk and his master were quickly overpowered by the evil man and his terribly hideous, demented bey. Horus, the god, was thrown into the air with enough force to make Arupo whimper. But he wouldn't go down easily.
"Now, Horuseus! Jungle Rampage!" The special move insued, causing the evil bey to scrape. It easily regained its balance.
"Your tiny strikes are useless. Aquario will crush you like the bug you are!" Diablo Aquario attacked, and when it hit Horus, a purple aura surrounded both beys. Arupo then was engulfed in the same, and he fell down. He was done.
"I'm... Not... Through with YOU!!!" The man was furious.
"And I'm down, but not out." I heard faintly. Arupo got up, and the aura re-engulfed him. It mixed into a number of different colors. He jerked his head back and forth like he was fighting with himself. He then returned to the dark purple, and looked upon the battle.
"I... Am... Not... DOWN!!!! I AM NOT OUT!!! I WILL ALWAYS GET BACK UP, AND YOU CAN'T STOP MY HORUSEUS!!!!!" The bey then gained spin strength. It spun faster and faster. I realized what was happening. But, how could it happen with a right-spin bey?
"Jay!!!" I called out. "He's using the dark power by angering Dagu to spin steal! We have to stop him!"
"We can't, the bodyguards keep us from leaving, because we have to be in the tournament!" She called back. I wondered for a second why she had to stay. I then realized she was going to be in the loser's bracket. We had to get out of here.

"Go, Cetus!" I launched my bey at the wall in front of us and jumped through the hole the crash made. I fell into the play area with the three beys circling me. I ran up the stadium wall and jump into the air, then came crashing down on the evil Aquario. My foot bent in a weird shape, and I felt a sharp pain. Currently, my Cetus was clashing against Horuseus. I knew what had happened to Arupo. He had been controlled by the dark power, and using the evil force to spin steal. He was yelling mean things at me to get me to lose control. I controlled it easily until he mentioned Jay. Then I lost control.
"How about that girl of yours, huh? She doesn't have anything. Yeah, she's cute. And so is a diseased rat." I was really angered at him. I started to yell back at him, until I realized that would only strengthen him. When my mind was off of that, I returned to the sharp pain in my foot. It looked deformed, and I knew it wasn't just from contact with the bey. It was from contact with the Dark power.
"AAAAHHHHHH!!!" I screamed. It was worse than being stabbed in the foot with a knife while someone was twisting it around, fiddling with the bones on the inside of my foot. I couldn't walk. I was in too much pain to talk. I couldn't think, so I stopped fighting.

"Tobi! You're alive!!!" I woke up and saw fuzz. It cleared a little, and I could see Jay, standing there, with her hair frizzed out as if she had been electrocuted, and her hair puffed out, just like in movies. I recognized that room instantly. It was the room my twin, dad, and older brother had died in. It was the hospital room my family had on hold in case of emergencies. It was the room where, as a little kid, I had asked my big brother if my twin sister would wake up, and I had asked him that repeatedly, because he would just stand, right where Jay was, looking down on the bed in a sad tone. It was the room in which I had bawled my eyes out two years ago at my father's death. I got up, grabbed my bey and launcher, and left. I walked right out the door. I could hear Jay screaming at me from behind, and doctors and nurses tried to hold me down. Everyone that worked in the building, it seemed, was keeping me from leaving. I just kept walking. I couldn't hear anything but the pulsing of my heart. It was pounding quickly and heavily. Every other sound was like faded static. I walked out the door of the hospital, and that's when everything around me glowed purple. I saw myself, but this me was evil, and he pulsed with overwhelming power. I looked down at myself to see my wounds, all bloody, scratched, and ugly. I heard my heart pulse loudly again. Everything turned to static, and then returned. I turned to myself. I saw me, but I didn't. This was horrid, gruesome. He looked exactly like me, all the same attributes, and he wasn't terrifying on the outside, but on the inside. He was pure hatred. I knew what happened now. This thing that stood before me was the Dark Power. It had manifested my body. I now knew where I was going. I was escaping the horrid memories of that room, that were built up inside of me. I was going to Dagu.
Chapter 12 (Click to View)
I knew where to find Dagu and Arupo. They were in the basement of the storage unit on 39th street. Everyone knew they were there. That's why it was abandoned. The cops once tried to subdue Dagu, but due to the fact that he hadn't really done anything illegal, he was set free. Dagu and Arupo awaited me there. I pulled out my Cetus.
"I'm not here to join you, or to become your pet slave. I came to face the Dark Power and to gain control of it." I launched Cetus, and instantly it glowed. It was purple, but there was a faint, normal blue aura that was seemingly fighting the purple aura. It died out for a second, and then came back. I knew what was happening to it. It was attempting to fight the Dark Power, because Cetus knew that the power would morph it into an evil being. It was futile, though. Even I, with my good intentions, couldn't stop the dark power.
"Ah, your inner futile attempts are merely a pinch on the arm to the Dark Power. It will overcome you, just like it did Arupo, and at a much earlier time, I as well." I stared at Dagu for a moment, and then turned to look directly into Arupo's bright blue eyes.
"Arupo, listen to me, you've got to fight, just like I am! If we both fight it, then maybe we can break free, and I bet..." The Dark Power silenced me. I then grabbed my bey and turned around to see Jay. My eyes softened. My legs weren't fighting to stay up anymore. I knew what she was doing here.
"Tobi, I know how to stop it. I can get rid of the power easily; all you have to do is ease up a bit." I then realized that I was very tense. She then came forward and kissed me. I fuzzed out, and then fell down. I then instantly jolted back up to find the evil bey on the ground, headed for us. I instantly launched Cetus, and an Aura surrounded us. I then saw another 2 beys in the room, and out of the corner of my eye, I saw a green aura. Jay and her Leone, I thought. It was over. She easily subdued Arupo, and then turned her Leone to the battle between me and Dagu. We slashed the bey apart until I finally struck the face bolt with my Duo wheel, and the Aquario crashed out. The purple glow from the room faded, and Dagu was gone. I picked up the Aquario clear wheel. Jay picked up the Diablo metal wheel. We went back to the shop in her car, and then disposed of the beyblade parts by melting them in a bonfire in the backyard. We sat on the bench and talked about what Dagu would do in the finals without a full bey. We laughed at the prospect of seeing him hand-spin the track and bottom of the bey with a face bolt on top. When we stopped laughing, everything was silent except for the crackling of the wood burning. Every few seconds,a leaf would catch fire and pop. On the third one, it was very loud, loud enough to make Jay jump. I grabbed her around the shoulder. I don't remember what I said to her, but it must've been really good, because she leaned in and kissed me. We sat there, all night long, and eventually we fell asleep. My last thought before I pased out was, Damn, she's hot.
