X question...

is buster dran 1-60A a good X starter
It is pretty good. However if we are talking about the best starters?

Wand Wizard 1-60R
Sterling Wolf 3-80FB
Rock Golem 1-60GN

If we aren't including the Soar Phoenix or Cobalt Dragoon sets as starters then these are your best options. Dran Buster is good however if we are talking about the best starters to get it is arguably these three just from how used their parts are, besides SW's 3-80. Now you can also pick up Claw Leon 5-60P for your Soar Phoenix as the ratchet and bit are good for that bey, however the Claw Leon blade itself is outclassed by many other options.

For a list of the best Hasbro beys to buy, lets call this the top 10 fast buy list:
1. Wand Wizard 1-60R
2. Sterling Wolf 3-80B
3. Soar Phoenix 5-80H
4. Cobalt Dragoon 2-60C
5. Tide Whale 5-80E
6. Drop Attack Battle Set (For Hover Wyvern 3-85N and the parts that come with Impact Drake 9-60LR)
7. Victory Grip Launcher Set (Mainly only getting for Level and the extended ripcord if you are a ripcord user, not full priority buy actually)
8. Fort Hornet R 7-60T (Now CX blades as of right now for Hasbro are not exactly the best however, 7-60 can be ratchet swapped to 7-70 which is such a high use part, and Taper is just good to have overall)
9. Beat Tyranno and Knife Shinobi Dual Pack (Now this is not a must buy. BT has already been outclassed HEAVILY in modern Takara meta, however for Hasbro it will last for about 2-5 more months before being outclassed. Besides that I do not recommend buying this, I am only mentioning it since I feel like some other bladers will want me to mention it)
10. Scythe Incendio 3-80B (Getting it for B. Scythe Incendio has the same problems as Beat Tyranno)

So overall those are the best beys to buy. But there is also the fact not all of these are avalible due to scalpers and also some just recently came out. So do buy what you yourself want to buy.

Red Phoenix is good but I think it is interchangeable with Blue Phoenix who has better parts besides 5-80. Also GN was most likely a mistake when I was speed typing earlier. There is also the fact I have no clue if OP likes string or winder launchers so I don’t want to force string onto them

Not the best, I'd go for something that takes less getting used to and is more beginner friendly. It's not bad, but I'd go for HellsScythe or DranSword. More balanced.

Dransword is better cuz it keeps up with the current meta but try to keep up with the meta/anti meta game cuz if ur new it’s easier to use and win with

If you are Hasbro then I would argue they are semi-relevant. Assuming you bought BX-01 and 02, you have DS3-60F and HS4-60T. DS stock does well however Phoenix Wing has a similar shape to the Blade and overall performs way better, 3-60 however is longterm good, and F is a bit outclassed these days but occasionally has uses. Now Hells is unique since Hells9-60B used to be Meta in Early Line X. But now the Scythe blade is not commonly used, 4-60 is often avoided due to the way it scrapes on the stadium, but Taper has its fair share of uses.
