So MFB has been out since August now. We know enough about current and future products to start talking about exactly how we feel about the series. So, let's talk about what we don't like about MFB.
I don't like the shooter technology. Even if they want each shooter to only work in one spin direction, which I'm fine with, the Dual Shooter tech was so far and beyond the original shooter tech that it seems rather backwards that they went back to it. The only flaw with the Dual Shooter were the connectors, and that would have been easily solved by simply using the current MFB connectors.
The fixed right spin/left spin is nonsense. Fix the shooters, not the Wheels! It's becoming increasingly likely that L Drago won't support right spin, which means it's a left spin Upper, which is useless because Upper needs to be in the same spin direction to work! L Drago looks to have strong smash in Right but it's useless.
What's even more frustrating about that is that it clearly wasn't the original concept. Looking at pictures of the early Pegasis mold, it's obvious that it was intended to spin in left as well as right. I can only assume this was a last-minute decision, and a poor one. It effectively halves the number of strategies that can be used.
I understand that they're trying to stagger the release of useful parts, but it's getting a bit ridiculous. Too many Beyblades are being released with rehashes of old parts, and now we're getting Hole Flat, a Flat with a hole in it. Unless it's to be combined with some future gimmick (why not package it with that gimmick, then?) it's really useless and when they eventually do decide to release something better we're all going to have cases full of useless parts.
