Tenchi Muyo sucks. I rented a couple of the DVDs and couldn't even get through one of them.

I love how you misspelled almost all of those titles.

Come on Tenchi Muyo was my first Anime (next to Voltron, Dragon Ball and Ronin Warriors), I loved it.^^
Tenchi Muyo is Love Hina with aliens and really stupid hair.
Tenchi Muyo Came out first lol, Love Hina came out way after. so what does that tell you, it was amazing for it's time that many others had to copy it.^^
I didn't say it like it was a good thing. ;p
Harem genre anime/manga are really boring and the plots are almost all identical when you get down to the bare basics. There's really only so much you can do with that kind of situation.

The things I consider good are series like Ghost in the Shell, Paradise Kiss, Claymore, Dead Leaves, Gokusen, and Cowboy Bebop. These are all series that have unique characters, plots that wouldn't really work, genuine depth to both the characters and the world they live in, and just fantastic story telling.

(though I do follow a a lot of really cheezey/ silly shoujo series online, like Midnight Secretary, Billion Girl, Barairo My Honey, Akuma to Dolce, Akuma to Love Song, Beast Master, Boku ni Watta Watashi, Desire Climax, Fushigi Yuugi Genbu Kaiden, Gekka no Kimi, Honey Hunt, Love Celeb, Ryo, Skip Beat)
True but it's a comedy 1st and and Action Adventure Anime 2nd don't look for plot look for the humor in it.^^
But the jokes in Love Hina/ Tenchi Muyo are so repetitive. They're pretty much all awkward/nerdy guy SUDDENLY CONFRONTED WITH BREASTS HOLY carp WHAT WACKY SHENANIGANS WILL ENSUE
EVERY MAN'S DREAM!^^
Yes, because going out and talking to real girls is just a terrifying prospect when compared to being holed up in your room reading what amounts to soft core porn.

Breasts are your dream? Pretty sad for a 23 year old.

Yes he is.

What the hell does KHR stand for?
I started watching Hitman Reborn and it's kinda funny lol.
I don't know if these count, but, I'd consider the Samurai X: Truth and Betrayal OVA's to be some of the best anime around. I never watched all of Reflection, the anime series sucks, and the other Samurai X movie was horrid. There has been nothing else animated that has left an impression like the one Truth and Betrayal left. Watch it.

Black Lagoon is another good anime, if you don't mind a plot based around existentialism, violence, and tragedies. It began with a Cowboy Bebop-esque kind of feel to it, but that soon ended after the story developed more, and the plot became deeper.

Everyone in the world should see the Hellsing OVA's, they are some of the best things ever. The anime series doesn't even compare, and I wouldn't bother watching it. After watching one of the OVA's after seeing the whole Hellsing series I couldn't understand why they just didn't start with the OVA.

YuYu Hakusho is another anime worth checking out if your into that type of animation, and lots of fighting. It has a few Dragon Ball Z cameos. The thing about these types of animes, is they leave no lasting impressions; the only thing really going for them are explosions and stylized violence. Naruto, Bleach, G-Gundam, Zoids, Pokemon, and craploads of other animes all have the odd episode where the cliche stylized violence does something really cool that tricks you into watching more. YuYu Hakusho just happens to have alot of cool moments, so I still enjoy it.

Queen Emeraldas, Galaxy Express 999, Spirited Away, Castle in the Sky, Princess Princess Mononoke, and Akira are great anime movies worth checking out. Bubblegum Crisis 2040 was really interesting when I was young, don't know how it would be now, but I'd still recommend it if you like robot animes. Grappler Baki and Outlaw Star are worth checking out also.

Can't really think of more animes at the moment, considering I've seen quite a few, and I forget them very easily, even after seeing a while series. Oh, and I second Claymore, since people already mentioned it; it's an anime that everyone should see, if you bother watching anime.

Have you read the manga at all? There is a lot of the anime that was amazing (the Kyoto arc and Saito's battle with Kenshin).

Second the OVA's Trust and Betrayal are terrible representations of Kenshin. It's a totally different feel then what the manga tried to convey. It's so bloody unrealistic with the way he is going after Tomoe and they basically butchered one of the best pieces of manga I have ever read simply by his emotional state going after her.

Reflection is also a poor representation of Sanosuke, but it speaks volumes about Kaoru and even shows Yahiko for what Kenshin originally saw in him a true swordsman.

That said Trust and Betrayal were very artsy and did convey how young he really was durring his Hitokiri days, but still it's nothing compared to the manga.
