What are some of the things you guys do to practice and test?

Right now I just launch one at a time. I launch the bey I think had the advantage first then the one at the disadvantage second. Because I don't know why lol. 

I just keep launching and launching to see if I notice any patterns and trends, jot some notes, compare to what I read online and make decisions. 

What are some of the specific things you guys test for and how do you guys go about doing it?

The one with better Stamina usually goes first into the stadium. You can test for attack power by doing 10 battles with one attack combo and one Defense stamina combo , and then another 10 battles with the same Defense stamina combo and a different attack combo, so you can test which is more effective by comparing the results that you take down.

Testing stamina and Defense can be done by measuring spin time with a stopwatch, and putting them against your strongest attack combos to see which of your Defense and stamina combos loses less.

I usually like to test for combos that don't burst easily and combos that can create crazy results! For example, I tested Tyros T2 4 Cross Flugel for it's defensive qualities, and usually didn't burst against Krusher Doomscizor (stock combo). I make Combo Testing videos all the time on YouTube, some made by my subs, and they usually do okay. I like to test them against Beyblades that won't instantly beat them up, but also make sure that the tested Beyblade gets a taste of all four types, and sometimes even a left-spin Bey. Of course, I only do that in videos. Off camera, I just throw a bunch of combos at the tested combo to see how easily it loses. Once it loses consistently, I change the combo and start over. Combo testing is my way to pass time and to see if I could join a tournament in the near future

Are you talking about Takara Tomy or Hasbros ( Most likely Hasbros , I suppose )

i test against current competitive combos

i’m very open minded in making new combos
but if a new combo can’t beat a current top combo
the new combo is pointless in my eyes

i will admit there are lots of blindspots with this method. it’s really easy to mentally write-off a part like wedge and forget about it.  this is why good testing takes so much time, especially with the changes Cho-z has put forth.

Agreed! We probably aren’t as scientific as the detailed post above, but will pay attention to winning combos when we compete and what we read on here, then Build those and try to build combos that meet or exceed. Try to keep other variables consistent, such as launcher, stadium, etc.

I'm thinking of getting two hasbro launchers that connect to each other. That white grip one and those small basic launchers can connect in a T shape. Think that would be good enough for the ripcord to pass through both launchers decently enough to get good spins on both beys? I was told the second one woild always be weaker cuz less cord passing through.

Yes. Second one is launched so much weaker that is better to launch twice. You can even adjust strength of second launch by experience.
Anyway, you do need several launchers because they are being broken after a while.
Also that's fun to try out double launch.
