How long does it take to host a tournament
[Unanswered] Beyblade tournament time?
A fair question. And I'd be happy to answer.
It depends!
Does your venue require any setup? Factor in time for that. In the case of my indoor tournament today, I had to
- Move chairs
- Move desks
- Set up orange cones
- Set up caution tape
- Arrange play mats
- Move the chairs and desks back afterwards
- Pack away all that stuff I brought
Setup took me about half on hour on each end.
My tournament started after 1PM, but I arrived at 11AM. Actually, I couldn't get in the building before then, I arrived earlier, just to be safe.
The tournament finished up around, what, 4:30? So, theoretically, I could've been all packed away and done by 5 if we hadn't played a bit of Draft format after the tournament.
So, with setup, registration, takedown, and the tournament... I'd say a 32 person Swiss tournament takes 6 hours, with 4 judges and 4 beystadiums.
If you add another Swiss round and only a few more people, maybe 7. If you add up to 64 people, a lot longer, maybe 8! If you have more beystadiums and judges? Take some time away from that.
If it's Double elimination, it will be a much shorter tournament.
It really varies based on how many judges, how many bladers, how many stadiums, and what format you're playing.
