UGH PARENTS. AND FAMILIES.
My parents don't like me playing with Beyblades (or any toys matter of fact), but they would never dare touch my toys. If they did... I'd go super-shun mode and not speak, especially since I used my own money to buy them.
I'm sixteen and I've noticed that if you go on about this site a bit and all the bad stuff it keeps you out of, they get more supportive. I normally earn the money for parts, but occasionally they drag me up to the mall so I can explain what the stats mean(years on that, they still don't know it). My parents, after my mom got a bruise the size of a golf ball from a plastic bey clip) it's fine as long as i can control the beys somewhat.

They should be more supportive of you, you're their son. Well, you gotta have a serious talk with them and tell them to treat you like a son and accept you the way you are, and support you.
How old are you, seriously your parents are that kind?
My parents don't really care what I buy with my own money...which is like...everything, they're pretty supportive but don't give a carp about my favorite hobbies ie. Beyblade, Pokemon, and my Anime collection.
my parents hated me when i used my money(which is actually theirs) to buy toys and games and such. that is why i hid it from them.
Well, My parents hate beyblades especially when I play with them. They start to laugh at me when I request them to buy a beyblade. It's so terrible to have parents of this kind.
you know, maybe they don't like you playing beyblades and all because they expect you to be a grown up and beyblade 'is' for kids.
but in the end, it's a hobby like all others. it's about having fun in your spare time.

maybe you're right. They thought that bey is for kids and they don't understand the meaning of having a great time playing toys anymore. Because they're all grown up. I hope i will not be like my parents when i grew up.
You know, some people decorate their office shelves with a traditional toy or two. Especially therapists who associate with relaxed environments. I guess they are looking like kids having them too?

i think that therapist knows it that toys do give comfort to people who face stress.

I also think that as you're thinking guys. Every parent thinks they're all grown up and the games or activities in their childhood became only history which is suitable to remember in their memory, they think. But, my thought says there is somewhere the fickleness of their childhood hidden in their memory and they don't want to release it due to their adult motivation. That's why, they think beyblading is nothing to us but a matter of waste of time.
But, my attempt to make them agreed is going on until now. Hope, the success will come to me one day.

we'll do the very best for the parents to one day notices that toys aren't only for kids and if played toys doesn't meant that we are immature. just that it is a hobby.
You could always throw some science into it. stuff like 'down force', 'friction', and any other bit of physics class you can relate to beyblades and the parts. (seemed to help me out with battle at high school, so this should work on parents) also, show how big this place has gotten, especially the tournament list right now XD
If I expressed all my feelings, you'd end up with a big, ugly RANT. Seriously.
In pursuit of brevity, I'll tell you my parents think beyblade is carp....y'know, 5-year-old stuff. They say that it's a complete waste of money, and that I shouldn't play because I'm a girl. They dislike me logging on to WBO ("Not good for you."), they dislike me talking about beyblade. They pull on their stern face every time. When I mess up something, they immediately blame my current interest(did the same with LoL). They simply CANNOT respect my hobbies and interests. They call me a weirdo. They tell me to fit in.
SO MUCH FOR BREVITY.

it happen the same to me eventhough i'm a male...they dont respect my hobby, and they dont know that we learn a lot in beyblades as beyblades=physics..
they even threaten to throw away my beyblades..
you know..my beyblades consists lots of rares plastics like zeus, desert sphinxer and many more..
let me make this clear..they throw my beys, they will lose one of their son..)i'm leaving the house)
mine is much worse MY parents play with me (theres no other bladers in my town)
same thing with me sept my lil bro likes beys not my parents
when my parents tick me off, I use dark bull red horn uppercut on my bedroom wall xD
also, they don't really care about them, they're like, "meh." I once had them play with me, but they were kinda sucky I know a few bladers in my area, mostly at school, who I might reccommend this site too.

I am.My mum thinks they are pretty stupid, but my brother likes them like me.I can tell my dad doesn't REALLY like them and that I should buy more WORTHWHILE things but he dosn't really say anything...
My younger sister goes to my dad "Oh oh, guess what Mark got from eBay? BEYBLADES" and then she pissed herself laughing. Dad replies with "You're joking.. they're rubbish toys." And then mum starts laughing.
God. This angers me SOOO MUCH. I'm allowed to do what I want and no one should have to criticize me for it. My sister is embarrassed about liking Hannah Montana and tells me not to tell anyone, but she goes and laughs at me for liking Beyblades. >____>
Anyone else feel this?
All the people at school are like: Beyblade beyblade, let it rip, beyblade beyblade suck my ****! And it REALLY annoys me... I wish people would stop looking at the anime and saying this is g*y and I admit the show is pretty corny but I am not interested in the show i'm interested in the actual game!!! It actually involves srategy which nobody at my school really thinks at all!!! Its so annoying...

Every single metal wheel, track, bottom all have their various physics!!! Its what makes beyblade fun!
