Yeah, your shot is pretty terrible. I was watching you practice and I was like "Man, I can't believe this guy got further than me."
Marco made me lose....
He made me use an Attack Type.
I then later tested it out against TehBrownSauce, with the bey I WAS GOING
to use, against the bey I lost against.

And I won... completely...
thanks Marco ROFL

Don't use MF Sagittario H145RF. Wink

You did do decently in the one match I saw. You KOed your opponent twice with Storm Pegasis.

But it's so fun! And it's good... if it doesn't skip over the carping ridge...

I claim credit for mentoring him!
Heh, "You just pulled a scott!"
But M145Q would have been awesome, Kei's so boring. Wink

As for me, watch my beypoints plummet.

P.S/EDIT: Also Pyro, have fun with those beypoints! Wink

Hey, I wasn't prepared to possibly sacrifice my BeyPoints for a few cheap laughs!

Hah, I did. You need to pick faster too. Seven minutes, lol.
The whole M145Q thing kind of started out as a way to smite me anyways, haha.

Kool-kid was like 2-5 against a combo I made with him using Q, his only victories came from mishots on my part. If only he used that in our match, haha.
I think this is our longest tournament ever, 6-7 hours.

Also, next time I think we need to stress that the re-shoot clause can only be used twice in a tournament.
No... they took all that footage for nothing.

(In other words, yes they are going to put it up on youtube.)
Thanks for organizing this event Pyro! My friends and I had a great time today. Some of us from Scarborough are even thinking about doing a tournament in a couple of months on the East end. By the way, what were the prizes? O.o
The prizes were the most useful beyblades released so far.
AKA:

1st place gets first pick:
2nd place gets seconf pick, etc.

This time it was:
Kei: Flame saggitario value pack
Kool-Kid9980: Storm Pegasis 105RF
Marco: Rock Leone145WB
hey guys i left early did they ever have loser round?? if so Unhappy

The same amount of time it would have taken to do Round Robin, Then Double Elim. JUST SAYIN

And yes, there was a loser's round.

A round robin takes longer than a double elimination, so even with half a round robin, how does this make sense?
If we got 5 refs, we'd get 5 blocks done each, Making about an hour, hour and a half for each 5
3 hours gone right there, with more then half the people able to leave. Then, get double elim brackets set up, 15 min.
Double elim take maybe another hour and a half if everything goes smoothly.
I hate you all -.- LOL kidding, haha all my 3 losses at the hands of kool-kid, but on the bright side I went 2-0 against Kei. So I think I should still be either 1st or second. I hope... LOL Good tournament guys, had a lot of fun, even though it would have been cooler if I actually got a chance of being in the finals instead of you guys basically saying you win too much so we gotta shut you down Tongue_out But as time went on I actually realized that I did pretty good, 3rd out of 58 ppl. You tell me.

I understand what your trying to say, but my point still stands while yours doesn't.
You're saying words like "If" or "maybe" that means it's baseless, in other words, it depends on the situation.

Mine however, I'll repeat: Round Robin is slower than a double elimination, thats a fact. So I don't see how half a double elimination and have a round robin could be faster, if anything it's slower than a full round robin due to the tournament set up/change.

it would be a compromise if we did half and half, but the above text is the reason it's not viable. In any case, let's not fight here shall we?
(Aug. 15, 2010  4:51 AM)Marco Wrote: haha all my 3 losses at the hands of kool-kid, but on the bright side I went 2-0 against Kei.

I just made the wrong choice, type-wise, while the stalling clause was invoked for our first match! And the second match was a bit of a throw up, Attack vs. Attack lol. My win admittedly doesn't feel as satisfying as it could have; one of these days Marco, one of these days! Tongue_out

And kool-kid, round robin does take a significantly larger amount of time to complete. Take this tournament for example; we would have ended up with nine blocks of six, and one of four. That means that almost every Blader would play at least five matches. A good portion of the Bladers today only played 2-3, so it is impossible that had we gone with the Round Robin Block System, that it would have sped things up.
i was actually talking to cool kid about the round robin then double elimination...it sounded so much simpler...

the parents were getting soooo aggravated that some of them started taking over with the match-up calling and such...

oh and thanks pyro!!!!

Hah, yeah. I can understand their frustration, but they need to realize how much work something like this is, and how long it can take.
Well, I'm many things but dumb I am not haha. You basically thought that it was gonna be defense or stamina, on the other hand I KNEW that it was not going to be defense, so what I did was if my leone faced your Burn, I would've wiped the floor with you, no offense, if you used LDrago, WF or WD being a plastic tip has less friction meaning if RF goes head to head against WF no matter how much recoil we both have, my rubber would absorb most of the hits while your plastic can't absorb nor grip the stadium resulting in a knockout for me. See my mentality? With Kool-Kid on the other hand was different I thought that if he beat my attack type he would for sure think I was gonna use stamina so he would go attack, but he outsmarted me and used defense, and if I used 100 I would've had a better chance, because R145 has recoil, but I was stupid and put D125. So that was it for me.
dang, it sounds like fun i knew i shouldn't of skipped this one............. Unhappy
i really hope kei's fan expo thing works out....
