It's that time of year again! Toronto Bladers, join us on July 22nd for a celebration of Beyblade's past in the form of HMS' NOT DEAD! 2 and PLASTIC'S NOT DEAD! 2!

Both tournaments will be occurring on the same day: PLASTIC'S NOT DEAD! 2 at 11AM at High Park, followed by HMS' NOT DEAD! 2 at 3PM at the same location (all times are tentative; if the HMS tournament seems to become more popular before the tournament date, I will switch the times). Feel free to attend both, or just one of the tournaments!

As always, to participate in the tournament you must purchase a Blader Passport, or alternatively, you can pay $5 for a single tournament. These tournaments will not be processed for BeyPoints, however, Faces for placement will still be awarded. And as the HMS & Plastics Remembrance Day announcement thread outlined, by participating in these tournaments, you will earn extra Credits on top of the Credits that you would regularly be awarded and in addition, you'll also receive an exclusive Face from Face Booster ADVANCE [Image: FaceBoosterIconADVANCEv3.png]!

Also, the top three finishers will have their choice of one of the following new Face Boosters created exclusively for HMS Format and Plastics Format tournament winners!:

I understand that some of you may be thinking right now, "But I don't have any HMS ...". Since I'm sure this may be a problem for some Bladers, I'm willing to lend out a few HMS Beyblades / Shooters + Winders to people who do not have any HMS. If you're in need of a Beyblade to participate in this tournament, let me know, but I cannot guarantee that you will get one.

Location:
We'll be playing in the shelter where we usually play. If you're coming to High Park via the Bloor entrance, just follow that road down on the right side and you'll see the large building/shelter on the left hand side before you reach the tennis courts. This map has the area we'll be playing in roughly outlined:

Ahaha, this is great.

Good playing everybody.

I was going to say I'm disappointed in you, but I guess I'm more disappointed in myself for going 2-2 in my block haha (Jiraiya Blade ... you failed me!!). You're right though; even though most people didn't have experience with HMS, everyone played relatively well.

Here's some more pics:

Thank you to everyone who came out today, both for PLASTIC'S NOT DEAD! 2 and HMS' NOT DEAD! 2; it's always such an interesting, and enjoyable experience to go back in time, so to speak, and play with the two generations of Beyblade which started it all. Like MFB and MFB ZERO-G, each of them have their own idiosyncrasies, which in addition to what makes Beyblade such a great game to play in general, makes each system an unique, fun experience all on their own. I hope you all had a great time! We may try to do this again in the future, before next year's HMS & Plastic's Remembrance Day. Smile
Man, this tournament was fierce..
When fighting in the TBTS, attack types can just thrash you. My strategy of using a defense bey didn't even pay off that well when a single hit can knock you out of the very tiny arena.

It was fantastic to see Blue again, HMS is really his game, so I'm glad he got in the top 3. Grin

It was awesome to see everyone (either seeing them again, or meeting them for the very first time)
oh yeah.. was really awesome to see crimson.. its been about a year XD
and awesome to see blue again as well XD

Defense in HMS? loll (well, it's not so bad in TB, but still)

TBTS is such a fun stadium.

It's always fun seeing him play HMS, for some reason, haha.

lord Wolfblade, Blue, Crimson, and Pocky, when you get a chance, can you check over this post in the Winning Combinations thread to verify that what I've written is true? And Blue, ktani doesn't post on the WBO, so if you could verify what you gave to him as well, I would appreciate it. Thanks!
So many pics of me. Did anybody film me when I was discovering how to use the HMS launcher? Lol

I was. I said something to the effect of "We've got a bunch of HMS newbies over here!" haha
oh yes just remembered i will put the vid up today (put on both so nobody misses)
Not sure when/if I'll be able to get my/Blue's footage up ... I'm having the same audio sync problems that I had with the BEYBLADE CRUSADE 2 footage. I'm going to try copying the footage to a friends computer soon to see if that somehow makes a difference.
