PLASTIC FORMAT
30 PARTICIPANT LIMIT

It's been over three years since the last HMS/Plastics tournament in Toronto–BEYBLADE'S NOT DEAD! at AN08–and I think it's about time we changed that! That's why, as a part of HMS & Plastics Remembrance Day 2011, I will be hosting two tournaments! PLASTIC'S NOT DEAD!, as this thread describes, and HMS' NOT DEAD!.

Both tournaments will be occurring on the same day: PLASTIC'S NOT DEAD! at 11AM at Dufferin Grove Park, followed by HMS' NOT DEAD! at 4PM at the same location (all times are tentative; if the HMS tournament seems to become more popular before the tournament date, I will switch the times). Feel free to attend both, or just one of the tournaments!

As always, to participate in the tournament you must purchase a Blader Passport, or alternatively, you can pay $5 for a single tournament. These tournaments will not be processed for BeyPoints, however, Faces for placement will still be awarded, and as the HMS & Plastics Remembrance Day announcement thread outlined, by participating in these tournaments, you will earn extra Credits on top of the Credits that you would regularly be awarded. These will be very useful in the upcoming campaign, which should be announced very soon! Additionally, because I unfortunately will not have any physical prizes for this tournament ... the winners will be awarded two Face Boosters of their choice!:

I understand that some of you may be thinking right now, "But I don't have any Plastics ...". Since I'm sure this may be a problem for some Bladers, I'm willing to lend out a few Plastic Beyblades / Shooters + Winders to people who do not have any Plastics. If you're in need of a Beyblade to participate in this tournament, let me know, but I cannot guarantee that you will get one.

Location:
Tournament registration begins at 11am.

(Nabbing this from another thread!)
If you're taking the subway, get off at Dufferin Station and walk a block and a half south.
If I'm not at the entrance, chances are I've already went to the tournament grounds. Follow the path and you should find me.

Haha, it would take a long time to list them all, trust me.

Kei At least name a few
Just assume he has the standard S, F, V, V2, and G series blades along with a few classic 4 layer beys. I do know he has Hasbro engine gear beys.

Really man, between my collection and his collection, you'll be able to build a decent blade.

As I've told other people, we'll figure something out if you show up. Wink If I'm not the person who lends you a Beyblade, someone else surely will.
My trunk will be packed with Beyblades: half plastics, half MFB. I might have room to put my suitcase in there, but I don't think so.

Also, Crimson is going to this. We worked out the ride situation.

My normal bed routine is 2PM now...

At 11AM I am usually Zombie-To.
Tied for 4th, 4-4. Not bad for a three-year hiatus. Grin

This was an incredible tournament. The mix of old players who grew up with plastics, and kids who only know MFB playing together was just great.

I forgot just how much fun plastic battles are, they can just be so fun to watch.

I did not expect to do as well as I did. But I finally got a placing in a tournament! What a joyous occasion.
