High Park - Toronto, Ontario, Canada
BURST FORMAT
______________________________________________________________

O Toronto!
Where Mitsu always finds himself using Revolve!
Bladers unite, battling all day and all night—

Eh, I think I'll leave it at that. Join the Toronto Beyblade community on Friday, July 1st, to play in GOOD OLD CANADA BEY, in honor of Canada Day! Let's show our Prime Minister some love and not use too much Orbit though, alright?

We'll be playing in the shelter where we usually play. If you're coming to High Park via the Bloor St W entrance, just follow that road down on the right side and you'll see the large building/shelter on the left hand side before you reach the tennis courts. If you have any questions about the location, please post here! This map has the area we'll be playing in roughly outlined:

Tournament entry will cost six dollars a person, although if twenty dollars is payed, a Blader Passport would be yours, along with a cool Passport Face online! Most importantly, though, free tournaments until your passport expires the following year. How cool is that?

Awaken the legendary Beyblade Amaterios Aero Assault – and claim it as your own!

Prove your strength as a Blader by winning the most consecutive battles in this tournament to win an exclusive Face, the Shard of Amaterios. Collect 3 Shards of Amaterios to summon the legendary Beyblade straight to your doorstep.

We'd advise users to please, please look after your stuff. While yes this is a Beyblade tournament and we're not suggesting that any of us would attempt to take each other's stuff it is still happening at a public venue where other people (who may not be so friendly) are going to be present as well. Of course, if you see a personal belonging lying around bring it up any of the judges so we can return it to the right person. Your co-operation is appreciated!

All questions for this tournament may be asked in this thread.

UPDATE: Canada Day plans in shambles, wait for me, my friends
Jesse also called me and said he's actually coming.
I'm on my way! Just got off at the UP express bloor station, so see you in about 20 min. Should've been earlier, but had a problem with my pesky presto card...
Built up a bit of a killstreak again, but 1234 broke it, and in the process stole my second shard. Oh well.

Great day, the choice to switch venue was the right one. Second place again!
That was amazing! I don't understand how I made it that far but man Happy Canada Bey indeed. Congrats to the winners (sorry I couldn't stay) and congrats to Kei on that Baldur. See you guys in a couple of weeks!
1st: 1234beyblade
2nd: Asterisk
3rd: Cadney

Congratulations to Hubert for winning, but to Asterisk for placing 2nd again, and cadney placing! Grin I'll be posting my thoughts later, but I have to say, the real winner was Kei..;

Fixed.

Just got home. I'm generally super tired whenever I get back but I'm really not today! Super glad we ended up switching to High Park; we would have got soaked otherwise! I had landed up with a record of 4-6 (compared the 10-1, 9-2 and the 7-5 of the top 3), not so good, not so bad either. Probably one of the worst records of mine this year, though. Luckily I'll gain a few points from SUMMER BEYRADISE, which I'm definitely going to need after my records these past two Burst events. I also have lots to say about the combos that were used. I'll post my thoughts on those later on!

Photos will be uploaded very shortly. Winning combinations will be posted once I receive them from @[✱] and @[1234beyblade]. Sorry for not collecting them after the event, you guys. Tongue_out

Also- if you haven't kept updated with our social media platforms throughout the day, @[Kei] had managed to win himself a Baldur! Definitely the most hyped thing today! https://www.instagram.com/p/BHU6cE_A3x6/...ldbeyblade

Few more things: If you weren't here to know the next tournament dates, they'll be on the 17th of July, 23rd of July and the 7th of August. Their topics should be posted very soon. Smile

Never a problem in Toronto!!! We got a dank 14 attendees!

I'm so happy that technik and thokami are sticking around! I should teach you guys some hardcore strats so you guys have much higher chances of winning next time! Anyone who wants like tips or secret techniques that only a few players in Toronto are aware of feel free to ask, though don't be surprised if it's very advance, as Scott can agree with haha (cough cough perfect balance cough).
Despite having a rather average day in terms of my tournament performance, I had a great time today; mostly due in part to the incredible reactions of each and everyone of you when I won Baldur. So glad that I decided to wait until today to spend my points. Smile Can't wait until HIGH PARK THROWDOWN 8 on July 17th! Thread should be up soon.

Congratulations to all of the winners, especially @[cadney] for placing for the first time and @[✱] for another strong showing today (should've used VHR against you instead of VAC ... lol)!

Haha. Amazing to think that even seemed like a problem for today. I was surprised there was so many of you guys there when I arrived.

Yeah! I didn't get to see Thokami play much because he was in the other block, but it was great to see you do relatively well today @[Technik] (except when you beat me haha)!
Glad everyone had a good time, I'll try to come to the next one.

congrats to Cadney for placing!
Posting my tournament wrap-up a little late this time due to a super busy day yesterday!

This was such an amazing time. The weather didn't make it any less fun. The moment where Scott won Baldur on camera was one of the absolute best community moments I've ever experienced -- it was serendipity that he got it on the final (final FINAL) play.

It was lots of fun meeting some of the bladers for the first time, like @[*]! I ended up doing pretty well with a 4-2 record in my block, and I ended up advancing to the finals for the third time!! This was thanks to some strategy help from 1234beyblade and @[Kei] (thank so much guys! I love learning from you and I'm really serious about it -- I write all the tips you give me in the notes section of my phone).

In the finals, I had a few lucky matches and did a lot better than I expected to. I broke out my last brand new valkrie (rip) that pretty yellow boy, and he served me quite well in VHR combos.

When all was said and done, I came in third place and ended up in the top 3 for the very first time!! I'm so happy about this. I couldn't have done it without the support of everyone, but it feels great to be improving over time. I'm already looking forward to the next event, even if I happen to be killing all my deathscythers and valkyries alarmingly fast.

Shoutout to the biggest casualty of the tournament, though: @[1234beyblade]'s revolve bottom. Gone but never forgotten 7/1/16.

I don't think there's anything preventing us from not processing Toronto's past few events. We're all ready to go!
Sure, it is just a matter of following the Beypoint Queue order and making sure no region gets skipped for the benefit of Toronto hah.
