BEYBLADE CRUSADE Recruitment Session: 5
SATURDAY, APRIL 28, 2012
DUFFERIN GROVE PARK - Toronto, Ontario, Canada - 12pm
STANDARD (MFB/BMF) FORMAT

Calling all Toronto-area Beybladers! The anticipation has begun! BEYBLADE CRUSADE 2 at AN 2012 is less than two months away! So, you think you've got what it takes to rise through the rankings against some of the toughest competition in the world? If it's a yes, then we want you to come and prove your worth at the fifth installment of the BEYBLADE CRUSADE series of "Recruitment Sessions"!

But how is this tournament linked to the main event, BEYBLADE CRUSADE 2 in May? Well, the two strongest among us will be granted the powerful ability to choose who they face in the first round of BEYBLADE CRUSADE 2 at ANIME NORTH 2012 this year, should they attend. Do you choose a Blader who you perceive to be weak, or do you purposely choose a top level Blader to put a dagger in his or her chances, and perhaps more importantly, their BeyPoints? That's for you to decide if you can conquer the playing field at BEYBLADE CRUSADE Recruitment Session: 5!

THE CRUSADE Campaign
If you haven't heard about it already, be sure to check out the information regarding THE CRUSADE Campaign! The more Bladers you recruit, the better chance you'll have at winning some cool Metal Fight Beyblade ZERO-G prizes!

Location:
If you're taking the subway, get off at Dufferin Station and walk a block and a half south. Follow the path and you should find us. If you haven't attended one of our tournaments before and you're not exactly sure how to get there from Dufferin Station, please don't hesitate to post any questions you might have here! We don't want you to get lost!

Heading out soon see yah guys and good luck to all
I'll be heading out as soon as Pockyx3 gets to my building. He's helping me carry everything over to Dufferin Grove Park since I have too much to carry by myself haha.

See you all soon!
Prizes?
i forgot this was today lol... again sorry guys
Hi guys! Thanks for coming out today; very nice turnout. I wasn't sure how this would go after we only managed to get around 10-12 players for BEYBLADE CRUSADE Recruitment Session: 4 last month, but I suppose that was because of how horrible the weather was that day! Anyways, here are the final standings:

1st: neilanpolbeley
2nd: 1234beyblade
3rd: JesseObre

Neil–the Philippines champion–participated in his first WBO tournament, and won! I had no idea he was still in Canada, nevermind that he would actually be coming to the tournament haha.

Note: Pockyx3 advanced to the finals after going 5-1 in his block, but it was only then that I found out that he had been using W145 (a ZERO-G part) because he forgot his AD145 at home, so I had to disqualify him. Serious

Aaand, for those wondering, no, I didn't play. I was going to, but multiple people showed up late and I just didn't have time to prepare all of my combinations properly. I'll play next time for sure.

Two RBV9's, one RBV6.
It is so cool that Neil won. Did he look like he enjoyed himself ?

I hope so! He was certainly very "serious" for each of he matches haha (which is a good thing!). He also had one of the bronze WBBA BeyLaunchers, which I was jealous of.

Apparently he doesn't speak much English (although, someone was PMing me with his account the other day, so I'm not sure if that was him, or his Dad, or ...), but yeah, it seemed like he was enjoying it. His Dad (I assume that's who it was) was speaking to me at one point during the tournament about how Neil wanted to start hosting WBO tournaments in the Philippines and I told him how he would go about doing that, and to PM me if he has any questions, so hopefully we can get something organized in the future! Before that however, he should be coming to BEYBLADE CRUSADE Recruitment Session: 6 and BEYBLADE CRUSADE 2 as well.

By the way everyone, the next tournament, BEYBLADE CRUSADE Recruitment Session: 6 will be hosted on Sunday, May 13th at High Park. I'll be posting the official thread for that shortly.

And Neil/1234beyblade: I forgot to mention it at the tournament, but because you guys placed 1st/2nd, you will have the opportunity to choose who you play against in the first round of BEYBLADE CRUSADE 2 on May 26th.
