11:30 AM - General Registration for BEYBLADE CRUSADE
12:30 PM - BEYBLADE CRUSADE

For the past three years we've hosted our marquee tournament at ANIME NORTH–BEYBLADE'S NOT DEAD! in 2008, BEYBLADE WAR ROOM in 2009, BEYBLADE REVIVAL CUP in 2010–and this year will be no different! In association with the AN GAMING division of AN2011 we will be hosting our tournament this year under the title, BEYBLADE CRUSADE!

No Beyblade? No problem! We're going to try to obtain Beyblades to bring with us so you'll be able to draft the parts to form a full Beyblade (for approx. $10), then you can play and trade with other Bladers before the tournament to hone your skills!

A Blader Passport is not required for this tournament, as AN does not allow event organizers to charge entry fees for events within the convention. However, if you want to support the WBO so we can host even better tournaments with even better prizes in the future, and participate in the BeyPoints ranking System in future tournaments, then you will need one! So, if you wish to purchase one at the tournament, that is still possible. To participate in the tournament, you must either purchase a weekend pass or a day pass at AN (if you wish to participate in all of the events and programming that AN has to offer), or alternatively, AN has graciously created a special $6 ticket this year for people who want to participate only in BEYBLADE CRUSADE.

You can sign up/purchase your ticket here: http://www.formstack.com/forms/?1062968-hwu8IOQkLu

Once purchased, you will receive an e-mail confirmation. On the day of BEYBLADE CRUSADE, present this confirmation to the person registering everyone and you will be given some sort of identification (probably a stamp or wristband).

The people who choose to sign up online and pay their fee can register half an hour prior to general registration. When general registration for people who have not signed up online begins, a second line for the people who did sign up/pay online will be formed as well in case they chose not to arrive earlier. As you can imagine, this second line for people who have signed up/paid already will move quite quickly. So, it is to your advantage to sign up/pay in advance!

The AN tournament has become a tradition of sorts, and while what we've accomplished in the past three years has been great … we are not going to rest on our laurels this time around! We're going to take this tournament to the next level.

How so, you ask? In an effort to build awareness and excitement for BEYBLADE CRUSADE this May we are going to be hosting three tournaments in the upcoming months under the name "BEYBLADE CRUSADE RECRUITMENT SESSIONS". Here's how each of them is going to work:

BEYBLADE CRUSADE Recruitment Session: 1 - March 26, 2011
  • 15 participant limit
  • Round Robin
  • Top two finishers gain the ability to choose who they face in the first round of BEYBLADE CRUSADE, should they attend.
  • Top two finishers from Recruitment Session: 1: Kei & !!!

BEYBLADE CRUSADE Recruitment Session: 2 - April 30, 2011
  • 30 participant limit
  • Block Round Robin
  • Top two finishers gain the ability to choose who they face in the first round of BEYBLADE CRUSADE, should they attend.
  • Top two finishers from Recruitment Session: 2: Xman8024 & Pyro

BEYBLADE CRUSADE Recruitment Session: 3 - May 15, 2011
  • No limit on participants
  • Single elimination
  • First place finisher gains the ability to choose who they face in the first round of BEYBLADE CRUSADE, should they attend.
  • Top finisher from BEYBLADE CRUSADE Recruitment Session: 3: ElJihado

Hopefully the possibility of gaining this slight advantage in BEYBLADE CRUSADE will be enticing for you all! Along with BeyPoints, Faces, and prizes, of course. And as you can see, it becomes more difficult to procure the aforementioned ability with each tournament that passes. Additionally, the order in which the top finishers choose who they face in that first round will be according to which tournament they placed in, but reversed (ex. If you come in first place at the first Recruitment Session, then you will have the last choice of who you want to face in the first round of BEYBLADE CRUSADE. This way, even if someone else picks you, you can still choose not to face them if you do not want to, thus nullifying their choice, forcing them to choose someone else).

Will you be at AN on Friday night? If so, then you might want to check out our other tournament, BEYBLADE CRUSADE: Roll Call!

We encourage all Bladers, both the brand new and the old to attend BEYBLADE CRUSADE, hosted by AN GAMING! With Beyblade's popularity continuing to rise, and our efforts to make this an even bigger tournament than it has ever been in the past, this has the possibility of becoming the largest tournament we have ever hosted, which means that competition will be fiercer than ever! You don't want to miss it! Hope to see you there!

If you think you'll be able to come to BEYBLADE CRUSADE, please post here and I will start building an attendance list!

Haha, like she'd actually make a public appearance...

Besides, she lives in Montreal, not Toronto.
I know I'm new and all but something like this sounds great! Plus, pulling together a blade for 10$ and then competing in a tournament with it sounds fun~ So make a "99% sure" list just for me.

You'd think she come since New Yorkers are coming.

But she's actually sane.

I'm staying cautiously optimistic, haha. It wouldn't be terribly surprising if we broke 100, but it would still be mindblowing. At the same time, I can still see us getting only 50-60.

We definitely have to promote the tournament as much as possible Friday night/Saturday morning, though! I need to make posters/flyers of some sort.

If you need help with that I can help you out. I have a lot of Photo Editing software as well.
I will also repeat again, (Please don't count this as spam) is anyone selling a Code Sharp (CS)? Wait a minute though, is there going to be a table where you assemble a beyblade for 10$? If there is, do you think they will have a CS?

Hopefully I can find one.

And, I wouldn't expect a CS in that lot.

I know that this is kind of "de-promoting" the part draft, but generally the parts are usually things such as: S, Dark, etc. From what I've heard.
attendee list please

Ahaha, not completely! Before the tournament I'm going to run out and buy the best stuff I can find at Toys R Us.
For those of you who are interested in buying TT Beyblades, I'm in the process of ordering 48-100 RBV7s, cases of basalts/kerbecs, fang leone, bb pegasis, LDDs, etc. for resell at Crusade. However, if you're on a budget, the parts draft is going to be a significantly better deal.

Kei, I have a few Beyblades for the parts draft btw. I have about 5-10.
Hmm, maybe I should save some money and buy these things that Kei calls "news parts", hmmm...
So Deikailo, are you basically saying the parts from the beyblades your buying you will give some to the parts section?
Nah, I'm saying my carp parts will be donated.
Bad or not I still need a blade. Maybe I should go pick one up this weekend. More on topic, I didn't see the "Wake Up Call" Tournament. Sounds interesting and just might leave extra early just for that~
Deikailo are you willing to sell me a CS? Also for the parts draft your bringing even some 4D beyblades?

Hell no.

I'm bringing 4D Beyblades to sell. Right now, this is what I've order:

8 cases of RBV7s
2 cases of BBP
2 cases of FL
2 cases of LLD

each case includes 12 beyblades so do the math.

And that's not including the basalts, kerbecs, and byxis I'll be getting as well.
... Give me a Beat Lynx.
there is a thread somewhere to put the stuff that is being sold...

edit: here is the buy/selling thread for this http://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-BEYBLADE...ing-Thread

Put my list in the thread because I know Kei is going to hit me up for RBV7s as prizes.

i am a bit confused, you want me to put your list in the thread?

miarockloves: unless the question is about this event, you might want to post it in the correct thread for questions
No, I posted it here so Kei would see it.
