BEYBLADE REVIVAL CUP
SATURDAY, MAY 29, 2010
Anime North 2010 @ Sheraton Toronto Airport Hotel

Golden Delicious Room
STANDARD (MFB/BMF) FORMAT

9 AM - Free Battle and Set Up
10 AM - "Beyblade 101" Workshop
11 AM - Free Battle and Registration for Beyblade Revival Cup
12 PM - Beyblade Revival Cup Tournament

In 2008, we hosted the BEYBLADE'S NOT DEAD! tournament- which was planned well before we knew that just one short year later MFB would be launching in Japan. However, now the time has come for Bladers all across the nation to celebrate the launch of BEYBLADE: METAL FUSION in Canada! Thus, for the third year in a row we will be hosting our marquee event at ANIME NORTH 2010, hosted by ANGaming, this year under the title; BEYBLADE REVIVAL CUP!

No Beyblade? No problem! We're going to try to obtain Beyblades to bring with us so you'll be able to draft the parts to form a full Beyblade (for approx. $10), then you can play and trade with other Bladers before the tournament to hone your skills!

A Blader Passport is not required for this tournament, as AN does not allow event organizers to charge entry fees for events within the convention, however if you want to support the WBO so we can host even better tournaments, with even better prizes in the future, and also participate in our world ranking system, the BeyPoints System, then you will need one!

We encourage all Bladers, both the brand new and the old to attend! With Beyblade becoming mainstream again, this has the possibility of becoming the largest tournament we have ever hosted, which means that competition will be fiercer than ever! You don't want to miss it! Hope to see you there!

If you think you'll be able to come, please post here and I will start building an attendance list!

BEY MEET-UP - FRIDAY MAY 28TH
6pm @ Doubletree Lobby

For those of you who can make it on Friday, we're planning on having a small meet-up. It shouldn't be too hard to find us; stadiums will be strewn about the floor, and I'll try to get a BEYBLADE BATTLE STATION poster up.

If there is enough people, we could potentially have a single elimination tournament as well (don't want to complicate things for something small like that).

Need-to-Know Information

1. During Registration, Open Your Account Page

Open your account page on your mobile device (if possible) during registration to help us keep things quick.

2. Arrive On Time

You must arrive by the tournament start time to enter. We cannot add new players to an event once it begins. If you're running late, contact the host.

3. Stay Aware of Your Belongings

We do everything possible to ensure a safe environment, but can't be held responsible for lost or stolen goods. Keep your gear close by!

4. The Tournament Will Last At Least a Few Hours

This event is likely to last at least a few hours. If you can't commit to the entire tournament, you're welcome to come watch and play for fun instead!

5. Listen For Your Username To Be Called

Your name will be called when it's time for your next battle. If you need to leave early or take a break, tell a judge. Missing a match could mean disqualification!

6. Players Must Meet Regional Product Age Restrictions

All players in this event must meet the age restrictions on Beyblade products in their region. TAKARA-TOMY recommends Beyblade for ages 6+. Hasbro recommends Beyblade for ages 8+. Players under these ages may only participate with the permission of their parent/guardian.

7. Players Under 18 Must Be Accompanied by a Parent/Guardian

If you are under 18 years old, a parent/guardian must accompany you and be present for the duration of the event.

8. Contests, Raffles, Gambling, Betting, and Selling Are Prohibited

Advertising the sale of any product or service, as well as posting about any contest, raffle, gambling, or betting on this event page and conducting them at the event without approval by Fighting Spirits Inc. staff is prohibited. Please contact the Organized Play team if you require approval.

9. Terms of Service

All event attendees and users of this website are subject to our Terms of Service.

... Did you even look at the prefix in the topic title ? If the convention this tournament will be held in was not in Canada, then "Toronto, Canada" would not be written ...
I may be attending! I sure hope I can go, I live in New Brunswick... A long way away.

Wow. You're really thinking of coming all the way from New Brunswick? Gasp
Hey everybody, Although i'm sure most of you know this already,

Anime North Pre-Registration for $45 will be ending on friday, so hurry up if you want to save 10 bucks and two hours in line. (:
I'd pre-register, but I honestly don't have the money right now. I spotted a friend at the concert yesterday for some merch, but until I get paid back I don't have cash in my "fun stuff" component of my budget.
I really hope I can make it. I'm working on getting my motorcycle license, so if thing work out, I may go on a tour XD

MFB will be launched in canada by the time this tournament hits so you have no excuse for coming unprepared
Ron just e-mailed me about an hour ago, so hopefully I will have some details for everyone soon!

I'm sure there will be a few people selling parts.

Yes.
Just finished speaking with Ron on the phone not too long ago. Really nice guy! Anyways, here are the details:

This year is basically going to be run the same way last years tournament was, and so, that means we'll be having the BEYBLADE 101 session where new players can learn about the game. Whether this devolves into "free battles" or not really doesn't matter, as long as everybody knows how to play! Also, I just thought of this, but I will see if we can get a TV and display Beychannel videos during the session. Anybody else think this is a good idea?

BEYBLADE BATTLE STATIONS will be back as well. Hopefully some of you guys will be willing to help out with that! Grin

As expected the tournament is going to take place on Saturday, May 29th.

Sadly, they are not going to be able to provide as much funding this year, but they're going to do their best to provide us with what they can.

There is a few more very exciting things that could be happening (stressing this), but I don't want to excite you all with something that isn't guaranteed! So, that is all for now!
Wish I could come but I like in UK and my parents will never go to Toronto for a day. Unhappy
Count With Me I will Go, I don't have so sure but I will go, for me and for my boyfriend and for my dranzer I will go, I have To go!

I'm pretty sure it's $55.

Feel free to bring them, even if they aren't used for the tournament, the more stadiums available for free battles, the better!
do need to have a blader passport to enter BRC or can you just pay there
can you put my name on the possible attendees

EDIT: nvm was mistaken
(Mar. 13, 2010  7:23 PM)Khel Wrote: It's using the current fee structure. If you don't have a blader Passport the fee would be $5.

It's against Anime North's policies to charge to enter an event inside Anime North.
