BEYBLADE REVIVAL CUP
SATURDAY, MAY 29, 2010
Anime North 2010 @ Sheraton Toronto Airport Hotel

Golden Delicious Room
STANDARD (MFB/BMF) FORMAT

9 AM - Free Battle and Set Up
10 AM - "Beyblade 101" Workshop
11 AM - Free Battle and Registration for Beyblade Revival Cup
12 PM - Beyblade Revival Cup Tournament

In 2008, we hosted the BEYBLADE'S NOT DEAD! tournament- which was planned well before we knew that just one short year later MFB would be launching in Japan. However, now the time has come for Bladers all across the nation to celebrate the launch of BEYBLADE: METAL FUSION in Canada! Thus, for the third year in a row we will be hosting our marquee event at ANIME NORTH 2010, hosted by ANGaming, this year under the title; BEYBLADE REVIVAL CUP!

No Beyblade? No problem! We're going to try to obtain Beyblades to bring with us so you'll be able to draft the parts to form a full Beyblade (for approx. $10), then you can play and trade with other Bladers before the tournament to hone your skills!

A Blader Passport is not required for this tournament, as AN does not allow event organizers to charge entry fees for events within the convention, however if you want to support the WBO so we can host even better tournaments, with even better prizes in the future, and also participate in our world ranking system, the BeyPoints System, then you will need one!

We encourage all Bladers, both the brand new and the old to attend! With Beyblade becoming mainstream again, this has the possibility of becoming the largest tournament we have ever hosted, which means that competition will be fiercer than ever! You don't want to miss it! Hope to see you there!

If you think you'll be able to come, please post here and I will start building an attendance list!

BEY MEET-UP - FRIDAY MAY 28TH
6pm @ Doubletree Lobby

For those of you who can make it on Friday, we're planning on having a small meet-up. It shouldn't be too hard to find us; stadiums will be strewn about the floor, and I'll try to get a BEYBLADE BATTLE STATION poster up.

If there is enough people, we could potentially have a single elimination tournament as well (don't want to complicate things for something small like that).

Need-to-Know Information

1. During Registration, Open Your Account Page

Open your account page on your mobile device (if possible) during registration to help us keep things quick.

2. Arrive On Time

You must arrive by the tournament start time to enter. We cannot add new players to an event once it begins. If you're running late, contact the host.

3. Stay Aware of Your Belongings

We do everything possible to ensure a safe environment, but can't be held responsible for lost or stolen goods. Keep your gear close by!

4. The Tournament Will Last At Least a Few Hours

This event is likely to last at least a few hours. If you can't commit to the entire tournament, you're welcome to come watch and play for fun instead!

5. Listen For Your Username To Be Called

Your name will be called when it's time for your next battle. If you need to leave early or take a break, tell a judge. Missing a match could mean disqualification!

6. Players Must Meet Regional Product Age Restrictions

All players in this event must meet the age restrictions on Beyblade products in their region. TAKARA-TOMY recommends Beyblade for ages 6+. Hasbro recommends Beyblade for ages 8+. Players under these ages may only participate with the permission of their parent/guardian.

7. Players Under 18 Must Be Accompanied by a Parent/Guardian

If you are under 18 years old, a parent/guardian must accompany you and be present for the duration of the event.

8. Contests, Raffles, Gambling, Betting, and Selling Are Prohibited

Advertising the sale of any product or service, as well as posting about any contest, raffle, gambling, or betting on this event page and conducting them at the event without approval by Fighting Spirits Inc. staff is prohibited. Please contact the Organized Play team if you require approval.

9. Terms of Service

All event attendees and users of this website are subject to our Terms of Service.

what is VERY complex is the choice of getting a pass or not.
Get a pass, They Dont Check, Waste 40$
Don't Get Pass, They Check, Kicked Out
hmm its at the hotel rite so...does tht mean no one will be checking and theyll only check at the congrus center?

I'll be there (me thinks) , but I haz a kweshun... o.o

How far is the Sheraton from the Radisson? Because, if by some miracle, I can get up early enough and drag my lazy arse outta bed, I'll be there like a fat kid at an all-day bake sale. =P

If you find me on Friday night, I can probably set you up with something then. Can't say what time yet, but I'll be in the lobby at some point, like we are each year on the Friday.

Speaking of which, does anybody here know if they can make it Friday night to the Doubletree lobby for some free battling?
H,mmm, Do they check passes in the lobby?

I'm up for it, just give me a time and I'll play. Only reason I need to know the time is since I'm meeting up with some people I yoyo with.

From the Toronto Congress Website: Travel to the Lawrence West subway station then transfer to the Malton #58 bus which will take you directly in front of the Toronto Congress Centre.

Then just walk to the hotel, will take approx 10min.
Sorry just to get this out of the way but I HAVE to pay 40 dollars just for saturday right? is there anyone who isnt paying?

I will if I can Gasp

But what time will it be? I really don't think I can get to the actual tournament this year due to lack of beys and prob the time when it's starting (again my mom won't want to get up in the morning for a game of spinning tops LOL)

But still trying Wink

Also the other dude talking about 40$, If u can and can spare a bit if cash it's somewhat reccomended but if ur broke like me (Haha.) you don't have to.

Or use the strategy some guy mentioned about bringing 40$ but not buying the ticket and saying that u forgot to buy Smile
Dunno if my dad will like driving there friday night and back, then driving there saturday and back.
But, i'll try Grin

I'm not entirely sure yet. I would estimate anywhere between 6-8pm. I'll be sure to post in this thread when I've arrived in the lobby.

And Pockyx3, 12pm isn't that early! If you come just before 12, you'll still be able to register. Please do try to make it. Smile

I've probably let talks of this go on for too long. For all of the people who don't want to pay $40 for an AN Pass to just get into BRC on Saturday, I completely understand your position, but I don't think I should really promote discussion of not paying any longer in this thread. Please take it to PMs.

You're on.
I might be able to head down for Friday night, but I really can't make any guarantees.
Honestly, it's not a big deal if you don't have a pass and you STAY OUTSIDE and take pictures.
But if you're going to an official event, it's better to bring it with you.

Might as well pre-order your tickets for 45 or 40 with a group of ten for the whole weekend next time.

Um. Depends when and where in the Double Tree. I'd have to drag my boyfriend along... don't know if he'd wanna come with me.
If I can convince him, by all means, I'll be there.
Depending on what time Kei, I could be able to make it.
