The World Ends With You

The World Ends With You

This game looks crazy, battling on two screens at once?! The character designs win as well.

It comes out on April 22nd, anybody else interested?
I'm not sold on the game yet to be honest.

I think it looks like typical hokey Square fodder. Lips_sealed
Looking forward to it, and have been for a while. Square's foray into the modern world will be something to witness.
it looks wierd

art reminds me of kingdom hearts for some reason

After reading an article/interview about it recently, I can say that the developers have definitely put a lot of effort into this and it really does look good. To me at least.

"Character designs are by Tetsuya Nomura"

Just like every other game by Square.
Um...I decided that there will never be another good RPG, ever. So I just wait for them to come out and hear about if they are worth playing after.

Serious
looks interesting but I must play it first to have my decision.
I've played the Japanese version and it really is a good game. Really fun.
Finished the game. It turned out to be way more epic than I expected. Here's hoping for a sequel. Grin *dives into the post-story sidequests*
The controls were genuinely unique. Once you get used to the puck system i loved switching between the two on the fly. The difficulty and setting and "de-levelling" was the best idea in years.
The soundtrack was great. In a similar vein to Jet Set Radio, but perhaps a bit more gritty.
The whole "opening up to friends and solving negativity" thing pissed me off a little.
Apart from that, the plot and concept was awesome.
The trend system, shopping and pin levelling was done pretty well.

As usual, it'll probably be an unsung hero and never get a sequal. Lets hope eh?
Man, I still need to finish this. I'm on the fourth day with Beat if I remember correctly.

But yeah, it really is an amazing game. They had so many interesting ideas, it's hard to list them all. The difficulty slider was one of the most genius ideas in my opinion though, it allows both veteran and novice gamers to enjoy the game and the story in its entirety. For those who don't know, the difficulty slider is basically a line that you can slide to the left or right, starting at one and going up to whatever level your character is. Doing this will either increase, or decrease your HP. Those who choose to play on the edge with very low HP will be rewarded with more items when they defeat enemies, while those who do not can still enjoy themselves without wanting to break their DS in half.

One of the best on DS in my opinion, everything about it was just so unique. Anybody who has a DS deserves to give this game a chance.
I spent weeks going all around Singapore looking for it; but it's pretty much sold out everywhere and whenever new stock comes in I never get it in time.

Pretty much given up on getting it for now, until the excitement dies down.
It's so worth it. Pretty much the best modern RPG out there.

Same here i was supposed to get this game a few days back but whenever i went to the store it was always "sold out", so i regrettably got "Advance Wars: DOR" out of impatience. Now, i am trying to sell advance wars for a descent price (since it wasn't as good as the first one on DS) so that i can get "TWEWY" if i happen to run into it..what a waste that was. I hope that Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days is as good and inovative as "TWEWY" whilst keeping the original feel unlike boring kingdom hearts 2 (everything was bad except for the cut-scenes).
This is one of the first games I am gonna play when I get my DS lite. That and FFTA 2. There goes my grades.
its got good such a great story and soundtrack, its like a movie and a cd!
I never thought that the one wearing the toque (Beat?) was a girl, and thought it was just a translation error on Square Enix's behalf. I had like a Frieza moment there, except reverse.
at first they didnt think it would sell well, but it did, so no shop had it for a while!

*ahem* Rhyme. Rhyme is Beat's little sis, who Neku mistakes for being a boy. Beat is the skater dude guy.

Man, I love WEWY. I would definitely play it again, but only after I finish the Another Day after-game part.
Neku cracks me up. His sarcasm and thoughts in general--especially the ones in Another Day--are hilarious.
Ugh, I can't bring myself to beat all of the missions that are given to you after completing the game, even though I love this game so much.
my friend finally stopped saying "ZETTA" in every sentence after like 5/6 months
