Time:
The tournament itself will start at 12:30pm, so as a guide, aim to arrive before 12:15pm. The Tube and public transport services are not very reliable, so plan your journey well in advance.
Remember to turn up on time. If you arrive later than the scheduled start time, your place will be forfeit and you will not be able to participate. If you know you'll be late, please let us know via PM or a post in this thread!
Please note that we cannot predict how long an event will be, as this varies based on the number of competitors and the ongoings throughout the day. In order to stay for the whole event, please be prepared to stick around for at least 3-4 hours.

Regent's Park. We shall be at the Bandstand as always. Please check this thread on the day for updates or like us on Facebook for any quick location updates.
Directions:
Here is a map of Regent's Park. Click on the tab labelled "Monuments, Fountains and Statues". Head to the area marked Bandstand. We suggest taking the London Underground or Bus to Baker Street.

Important Advice:
Despite being around friends and rivals, please remember we are in a public park. Bad behaviour and swearing will not be tolerated and may result in a ban from future events. Please keep your personal belongings with you or in a safe place while at the bandstand. If you see any personal items left around with no apparent owner, please hand it in to a judge, so we can return it to its rightful owner. Your cooperation is much appreciated.

The weather is looking pretty dire for tomorrow (~60% rain, thunderstorms), so I'm going to postpone tomorrow's event. Sorry! We're just very ill-equipped at the Bandstand to cope with bad weather!
Unfortunately, as I'm away for the next few weekends for holidays and family events, this does mean this event will be pushed back to Saturday 17th August, which is quite literally a month away. Sorry, there's not much I can do here. I'll see if there are any other UK hosts who are willing to run an event in this time, but I don't really expect much to come of it, haha.
I'll wipe the participant list for now so we have an accurate list for the 17th August event. Please ensure you're taking this new date into account when registering for this event!

You also can't mix Takara Tomy and Hasbro layers and drivers. If you bring Hasbro, keep the Hasbro layers with the Hasbro drivers. If you bring Takara Tomy, keep the Takara Tomy layers with the Takara Tomy drivers.

Just wanted to pop a quick notice up; I've returned from holiday today and taken a quick look at all the PMs regarding this event! A common theme is seems to be wanting to participate, but the participant cap has already been met. This cap is in place due to the usually-low number of active judges we get at our events, as larger events need more judges getting involved.
That said, I'll double check to see how many judges we have attending and see if I can bump up the cap to arouind 40ish!

There will be more events, yes! We aim for one per month (doesn't always work out though as I'm the only one hosting atm, but I aim for it), so there'll be more opportunities in the near future
