they are like ghosts and onryo but they are better and weirder with a touch of scary japan artwork
they can be anything really like a umbrella, a cyclops, a turtle, a dragon, a beautiful killer woman, a giant skeleton or even a nine tailed fox
"a beautifal killer woman" 😳
Oh ye I've seen beautiful killer women turn ugly in anime. Yeh I remember them being youkais.

Not everything appears; Ouroboros, Sleipnir, Nidhogg, Huginn, Muninn, Fossegrim, Ratatoskr, Uriel, Sariel, Abaddon, Baphomet, Banshee, Beelzebub and even more aren't featured.
And note, those are just some examples. There's more than what I've said here

Ouroboros is a serpent that eats its own tail and is as big as the world in Egyptian mythology, Sleipnir is Odin's 8-legged horse, Nidhogg is a dragon/serpent who gnaws at the root of Yggdrasil, Huginn and Muninn are Odin's crows, Ratatoskr is a squirrel that runs up and down the Yggdrasil to carry messages to the eagle perched on top of it, Uriel is an archangel of light, Sariel is the archangel of eternity and trembling, Abaddon is the archangel of the abyss, Baphomet is a deity the Templars were accused of worshipping, Banshees are female spirits that heralds the death of a family member via wailing/screaming and Beelzebub is a god worshipped by the Philistines or another name of Satan.
