[Takara Tomy]  Diabolos Chip/Layer Weight Testing and Discussion

Hey Everyone,

I've been doing some testing with the Diabolos Chip/Layer Weight. As many of us know, it is pretty heavy and really bolsters the attack and stamina potential of many GT Layer Bases. In these tests, I mainly used Dread Diabolos and Zwei Diabolos. Here are the results:

(Defense Mode) Hell Salamander Sting Atomic (Odd) vs. Dread Diabolos Sting Atomic (Even)
- hS.St.At: 0 Wins (0% Win Rate)
- DD.St.At: 10 OS (100% Win Rate)

(Defense Mode) Hell Salamander Outer Xtend+ (Stamina Mode) (Odd) vs. Dread Diabolos Sting Atomic (Even)
- hS.Ω.Xt+: 3 OS (30% Win Rate)
- DD.St.At: 7 OS (70% Win Rate)

(Left Spin) Cho-Z Spriggan 00Wall Bearing (Odd) vs. Dread Diabolos Sting Atomic (Even)
- choS.00W.Br: 2 OS (20% Win Rate)
- DD.St.At: 5 OS, 3 KO (80% Win Rate)

Wizard Fafnir Sting Atomic Ten (Odd) vs. Dread Diabolos Sting Atomic (Even)
- WF.St.At 天: 1 OS (10% Win Rate)
- DD.St.At: 7 OS, 2 Burst (90% Win Rate)

(Defense Mode) Hell Salamander 00Cross Xtend+ (Stamina Mode) (Odd) vs. Dread Diabolos 00Cross Xtend+ (Stamina Mode) (Even)
- hS.00C.Xt+: 4 OS, 2 Burst (60% Win Rate)
- DD.00C.Xt+: 3 OS, 1 Burst (40% Win Rate)

Dread Diabolos Sting Atomic (First) vs. Judgment Ashura Blitz Xtreme' Retsu (Second)
- JA.Bl.X' 烈: 2 KO (20% Win Rate)
- DD.St.At: 4 OS, 4 KO (80% Win Rate)

Perfect Phoenix Outer Xtend+ (Stamina Mode) (First) vs. Zwei Diabolos 00Meteor Dimension (Short Stamina Mode) (Second)
- pP.Ω.Xt+: 3 OS, 1 Burst (40% Win Rate)
- ZD.00M.Dm: 6 KO (60% Win Rate)

Dread Diabolos Sting Atomic (First) vs. Zwei Diabolos 00Meteor Yielding (Second Sliding Shoot)
- DD.St.At: 3 OS, 1 KO (40% Win Rate)
- ZD.00M.Y: 4 OS, 2 Burst (60% Win Rate)

Balkesh B3 00Wall Bearing (First) vs. Zwei Diabolos 00Meteor Yielding (Second Sliding Shoot)
- B3.00W.Br: 0 Wins (0% Win Rate)
- ZD.00M.Y: 9 OS, 1 Burst (100% Win Rate)

Let me know what you all think!
This is very interesting I've been thinking if getting V/ED is worth it considering that Diabolos has barely any teeth, the 2 bases are just there at most they could help being tight for the chip, Vanguard idk if that is as heavy as Sting but it could have some potential and Bullet is straight up terrible. So I guess it does seem at least the Diabolos Chip/Weight could be worth getting. Thanks for doing these tests to show us all how Diabolos performs Grin

Vanguard is 26, Sting is 28. It's not that close, but it could be decent.
GT Beys: *Become good*
My summer: Well, time to say good bye to BEYBLADE for a few weeks.

I need DB, V/ED, ZL, A/G/RD!

How on earth did a left spin stationary attack combo have more than 50% win rate against a classic perfect phoenix combo (talking about zwei diabolos.00m.dm vs pP outer xt+)?
Are the teeth any good? The weight distribution seems to be great. And avoiding too many rattling parts are always a good thing.

Zwei has great upper attack due to how its contact points are angled as well as metal placement. Dimension (Short Stamina Mode) enhances upper attack due to how hort of a driver it is. Combined with Diabolos' weight, it is very easy to KO a stationary Perfect Phoenix Xt+ combo. Dimension's scraping also helps with mitigating ZD's potential to self KO. My results are 60/40 in ZD's favor, but, keep in mind, this is just out of 10 matches. I'm sure if I did 20 matches, it'd be much closer to 50/50.

I forgot how short 'short' means when talking about dimension xD. Is the attack mode uncontrollable in this combo?

Attack mode isn't terribly uncontrollable. With a good sliding shoot, you could definitrly pull off a flower pattern with it. I just prefer to use Stamina mode when going up against Stamina/ Defense combos as dimension will go for the center more quickly in stamina mode than in attack mode.
