Takara Tomy Beyblade Burst - Upcoming Release & Rumor Thread

Speaking of Dragon, I hope the Dragon DB core has better teeth than Valkyrie and resolves those durability issues, as this could be a good replacement for it. Plus, I don't want the core's gimmick to feel even more redundant than it already is. Here's the thing, Dragon and Valkyrie are both right spin with the exact same gimmick, so they'll need teeth to differentiate it. While Kerbeus and Bahamut are also exactly the same, the difference is that one's right spin and the other is left spin, respectively, so it doesn't feel redundant, as both have their own purpose now.
Chain's gimmick is what again? (Guardian/Hazard but up to 11?)

My concern is Valkyrie is good in part because it is relatively well balanced, while Dragon doesn't necessarily look like it will be.

My bad, but why would coro2 make it like that
Probably for an upcoming rare recolor or something like that
To be honest, I'm also really excited for Kerbeus, just because I then have the option to run MX on Ultimate, and Longinus+X' on Guilty. I feel like it might be a little better than the current setup I'm running, so I'm probably going to buy a full set.

Yard' though... If they could just modify it to be like Yard-S it would actually be good for something. Not terribly excited for Chain either, but really hoping Fr is a TT version of Hasbro's Fq which I really really like.

Umm, how would Fq even help with Defense if it’s like Karma? Like won’t it scrape?
(Also also, would 3/9 and it wedged together cause imbalance? Like their both 3 blades.)
One hope for BU: pls pick more obscure beys alongside the big names.

I mean, it wouldn't, but it also wouldn't be the first instance of a part not matching a Beyblade's type either. Really, it's just that the abbreviations are close enough and I really, really want an Fq at like 30g+. Fq has a nice distro and surprisingly decent LAD in one direction, so a full-fat version would be nice. A guy can dream.

As for it causing imbalance, I don't think that's how that works. But it would clash with Chain. Again, not unprecedented!
That new Gatling Dragon's full combo is Gatling Dragon .Kr.Cm' 10.

Okay so yeah Karma was kinda obvious, but with the reveal of the new driver, I'm surprised they didn't go all out and make MCm, but I guess if you wanted a tighter Cm, you got it either way. Funny how it followed Longinus' footsteps in reusing their driver from Sparking huh. 10 is an odd weight choice but I guess it works.

Gatling has the Tempest gimmick, but it looks wider and almost more extravagant. Doesn't seem that great of a shape, but that's just me.

Im guessing Charge Metal' will have an
orange-colored normal spring like Bearing' cuz both of them previously had weaker ones

Also looks like no Spring in D gear and also the A gear looks like it has no gimmicks and will never be chosen over F gear so I just hope the third gear is good
Lol called it dragon has charge again its Cm' instead of just the dash version. It got Karma (nice to see longinus/Lui & Dragon/Drum energy can be feel by having the same disc and both repeat their drivers 3 times lol) we all knew that just from looking at it and 10 armor as well. Gatling still looks good though its really Tempest 2.0 but still beautiful looking. As for chain its not bad its a new kerbeus so i'm happy
Uh so B-198 RB 29 is released on may 28 and b-199 gatling dargon is released on june 26 the time gap on this thing my god

I shouldn't be surprised but jeez, almost a month apart. It's not as bad as Belial to Kerbeus though, and given that they're monthly releases, this kind of time gap would be expected. I mean even if they released Dragon early, there could be an even bigger gap between releases later on as a result.

Off topic, but Dragon has "GT" on it's big stickers. Ha.

As far as I know, Charge Metal didn't have a weaker spring? Also, the D-gear obviously wasn't going to have a bound gimmick, and you definitely can't write off the A-gear just because it doesn't have a gimmick. Adventure was just Venture with a gimmick, and just look how that turned out. Sometimes, simple is better.

Anyway, I've got high hopes for Gatling. It's got a nice oval shape when awakened, I just hope it's not too easy to un-awaken during battle.

Charge Metal actually did have a weak spring which is why it never saw use, whether or not it's going to be a Bearing' level spring here with Cm' remains to be seen.
Even though Gatling looks somewhat solid I can’t get past the fact that they just reused parts form past releases
Get used to it until Xcalibur comes out in July (it'll likely have all new parts). Achilles will probably have re-used parts, as well.
I'm just thinking, and this probably won't happen, but I think it would be really cool if Dragon has high mode allow the awakening to be permanent, while low mode lets the wings in to be awakened. I'm not saying it will happen but it would be nice, and I do see a few holes in the layer for it to be a possibility.

However, given the white plastic that covers bits of the DB core's side parts on awakening mode, I'm not too sure.

The Github site says this: "blade: Low mode is combo mode: the powerful firing blade will extend; High mode is slash mode: the blade will become fixed"

I'm not sure if this is exactly an awakening or not but it does appear High and Low mode initiates different modes.
I rlly like how there's "GT" on the 2 big stickers for Gatling Dragon

I hope they dont do Impact' for Xcalibur, just give us a softer rubber (like the one on Super Satan, but metal lock and og xtreme colors) Metal Xtreme

Good catch on the white plastic, Jinbee! From what I can tell it looks like in High mode the armor would prevent the layer from awakening, thus the blade becoming "fixed". In Low mode, as seen in the pictures, the BU chip isn't thick enough to prevent awakening.

Apart from Divine, it's interesting that BU so far seems to be focusing on making High/Low mode more distinct from each other, first with Kerbeus and now with Dragon.
Holy carp, more than 1 bey where high mode actually makes a difference in the gimmick? I don't know what fantasy I'm living in right now but I like it.
That is, ignoring the fact that dragon is one of the laziest burst beys I've ever seen. Design, while it looks very nice and is probably my favorite dragon in terms of design, is just tempest 2. And the parts are just tempest 2 as well. The entire bey is just Tempest the sequel. Not even a new armor is just depressing.

As a side note, I saw someone point out how the 2 big stickers on Gatling has "GT" on it which is a neat little detail.
I'm confused about something, if Achilles is supposedly released after Xcalibur, then why does it show the D and A Gear in corocoro first? Theoretically, they'd show the two earliest gears first right? If they didn't show the gold gear, that probably means it'll come later. Perhaps the gold gear isn't from Xcalibur? At the same time though, Xcalibur is the only other major focused line of beys left, besides Helios/Hyperion I suppose. I'm disqualifying Diabolos too.

I'm glad it's not just me. My guess is that they want to keep the Gold gear (Assuming it is X-Gear?) secret until Xcalibur releases? i don't really have a good reason or guess as to why they revealed A-Gear early tbh, that's just my guess.
