Then again though... I do not see how TakaraTomy can top burst... I know we pretty much said the same thing when MFB ended... but idk...
Takara Tomy Beyblade Burst - Upcoming Release & Rumor Thread

For as much as I enjoy Burst, I sincerely hope they don't. It would be a lot nicer to see something a bit newer and more refreshing after an entire generation of bursting beys.
But how do you come up with something after beys that burst? I agree with ROB, it might just stay for the most part

I assume the next season would be more focused on competitive play instead of cool designs and gimmicks

I don't believe so. The beginning releases of both Cho-Z and GT have been simple in layer design, and then later on gimmicks were added to the layers. Who can say the same won't happen for this new system.

Sorry i sorta phrased it wrong, when i mean season i mean next generation after burst
I mean, even if this is a little off-topic, I'd love them to expand on something like Magnecore and make it more than a one-off gimmick in a different way.

Even then, intricate designs and theoretical gimmicks aren't really going away for any future generation of Beyblade. Every Bey TT designs there is always a theory about certain shapes or gimmicks that could work in battle, and then they make prototypes to make sure it works and if there are things that need to change before releasing the final Bey. They have competition in mind, but not necessarily the entire competitive side of Beyblade. Especially when Beyblade is more so targeted for 8+ year old kids and they wanna make sure it'll sell with fun and interesting gimmicks.

I see
I’m pretty sure that is going to be the new Valkyrie chip (but it’s just in the gold version), but I really doubt that the layer base that the gold chip is using is for Valkyrie. It’s just then testing out new layer bases out, they just used the Valkyrie hip to test it on.

that and the layer base it's on is similar in design to the one on the black recolor of the sun motif and it also looks like it's an actual prototype cause it doesn't look refined enough plus the lack of color.
Since the layers and disks are kind of combining, I think a bet could come out with a similar locking system to nightmare longinus (with the dragon heads moving after each click). Valkyrie could also have a gimmick like this, the layer could look similar to the god layer and after each click, the wings get closer together (just like how strike god valkyrie was after the chip was put in). Tbh it’s kind of hard to explain
How do you know they are prototypes? That launcher looks sick! The Valkyrie could be the blue one or the black one but since its always blue, maybe the black bey resembles night time while the white is sun. The red part on the computer image could be real eventually.

Why would there be an all white base? you can barely see the detail and like I said it looks unfinished compared to the black recolor.

I wouldn't say "barely". The beys are different I think. Notice the blue bey with the red, blue & silver chip looks like it has a dicferent shaped base. The white base bey might not be a recolor. The only thing we haven't seen are the stickers.

Uhh I think he was talking about the white layer only...?
The white and the black one do look similar, but the photos only tell so much...

You're correct on both.
So, I've been trying to rack my brain as to why that "Valkyrie" (if it is one, I mean) would look so different. And then I had a slightly big brained idea: what if any of the "bases" (not sure if that's what they're called, so Imma stick with it for now) are actually set exclusives? It would be interesting, that's for sure

It would become very overwhelming to have a totally differently designed base in every single set. Just think of how many names that you would need to remember, or how many variations that would actually make! That's also a ton of pressure on their design team to keep making new designs.
I don't know if anyone else has noticed this, but the black bey in those leaked images has the same sort of central design as the preview of that "sun bey" shown off at the WHF. The specific section they show in that teaser even matches up with the shape of the helmet as well as the placement of the disc slots/launcher connections. So, I think it's pretty safe to say the black bey isn't Valkyrie. Possibly a new rival? I'd hesitate to say it'd be a new protag's bey considering they're hyping this season up to be focused on Valt and his inner circle.
Not sure if anyone has pointed this out either, but the Beylauncher in the images has no spot for the Beylogger to clip onto! Guess they finally decided to kill it after all these years of it being basically worthless. It does look a lot more interesting than the previous few launchers as a result of not being designed around Beylogger compatibility, but the giant clear centerpiece also makes it look like one of those tokusatsu transforming toys... maybe instead of getting Beylogger cutouts in the boxes, we'll get cutouts of the beys that can go inside that clear section and will spin as the launcher is used, lol.

Is it Helios?

I think you're confused about what I said: I mean for the entry set, these could be completely different and unique bases only pertaining to this set. It would just be a unique concept, having something exclusive to this set, it wouldn't necessarily complicate anything. And their design teams have managed to come up with amazing looking beys up until now, so while the pressure is on, that will hopefully encourage them to make amazing looking beys as they always have done

I don't think so, it'd be weird if they called it Helios since the "ios" in Amaterios is supposed to come from Helios. There's plenty of other sun deities from mythologies all over the world they can pull from though, so there's not much point in trying to guess the name right now.
I think the layers are still going to be three parts, since the pictures show the inner circle bit with clips, like on layer bases for chips. IDK at this point
In a sense, Naked Spriggan introduced us to this new series since you can actually combine it with Paradox on that gt base. This is true only if the possibility of mixing layers and discs will be confirmed.
