Takara Tomy Beyblade Burst - Upcoming Release & Rumor Thread

Let's say if this new season will actually happen (which is still unconfirmed of course)... I hope the possible next series will be RC Burst beys or have a new gimmick with the stadium.

I think it will be the infinity lock that came with Prime Apocalypse and Regalia Genesis.

So, an entire Burst season with Beys that don't burst? Guess it won't be...

The beys can burst. If you look at the center of both beys when you twist the combo the center has a red diamond on Apocalypse and red eyes on Genesis (I know they are not eyes but still) when the combo is hit enough and those beys get into that red area, then if they are hit in a certain area, they burst. For Apocalypse it has one on the very bottom of the bey and on Genesis it has one on the bottom and one on the top.
as much as i love apoc and genesis I wouldn't like a whole season dedicated to that gimmick, I hope for season 5 they give us a WHOLE brand new system. We need a soft reboot ASAP

It wouldn’t be a Burst bey if it was a whole new system.

Yeah, a Stadium gimmick would be cool. Not something as over-the-top as turning everything into an Attack Type like SlingShock and HyperSphere, maybe a magnetic system. I wasn't around for the Magnacore days, and the very limited amount of videos that use magnet dish strategies just makes me more intrigued. There would definitely have to be a rule concerning magnet placement if the magnet system sparks up a new format, such as the loser of the round being able to choose placements for the next round, which could make for an interesting format. There are already Drivers that get attracted to magnets, but a whole metagame with positive, negative, and neutral Drivers would be interesting.
The way your describing could be exactly what the game needs
Cause the special moves the beys can do are limited but if you had them set to move around at angles magnetically it could add alot more to the game especially for younger kids

As long as the bey burst it’s a burst system bey

By that logic, plastic gen beys were also burst beys, since they could sometimes come apart when in battle. Metal Fight too, if the facebolt was loose at launch you could touch it with your finger to fully unscrew it, allowing for a full-spin MFB bey with no facebolt.

They weren't supposed to tho.

Very much this. There's a difference between an assembly failure and an intended design of the bey.

That being said, I think this infinity lock thing is meant to be special, akin to Cho-Z Valkyrie/Spriggan/Achilles' unique burst stopper gimmick, so I'm not expecting much more of this in the future right now.

so i guess Season 5 is coming. Won't this make burst the longest-running beyblade generation ever?

Yes it will. However, it seems like a progression. The original series had 3 seasons, metal fight had 4 (not counting Zero-G, but even TT wants to forget that ever happened), and Burst will probably have 5. This info isn't 100% though, but it is highly likely to be true, + I hope it's true.

Metal Fight had 4 including zero g. The pre-hybrid layers were manga only and isn't counted. Metal Fight, Explosion, 4D and Zero G.

Oh, right. Zero G was part of the MFB saga. Thanks for clearing that up.

Really Jesus? your valhalla thing sounds good but as a main part it’d probably be a beys burst name instead of an actual bey

We already have Gargoyle from Hasbro....
Idk if this means anything, but when I translated B-162’s Chinese text, it said battle disk combination. Could this be a hint to the new gimmick coming to the new Burst series?

I do hope it's the gimmick, combine it with the layer customization and we have new ways to customize more than MFB and plastic gen
Thinking right now I don't know if Season 5 will have the GT system, it just wouldn't make sense

If they want to go for more complex Layer gimmicks, Takara Tomy will have to ditch Layer Customization, but they could also just make a new Layer Customization system that locks in differently.
