BEYBLADE X - RANKED TOURNAMENT

Format: The format for this event is Swiss Format 3 on 3, First to 5 points. Each participant will play 5 rounds (6 if we have more than 32), and then the top 8 will compete in the finals, which will also be 3 on 3, First to 7 points.

Time: Doors open at 11AM; come early to practice combos!

As the tournament will start promptly at NOON, please plan to arrive by 11:30 AM. Registration will close at 11:55 AM. Confirming your attendance on the WBO event page does not substitute for registration at the venue, and late comers cannot be added after the tournament begins. We expect to be done prelims by 4:00 and finals by 5:00.

Rules Overview:
- You will need three (3) official beyblade X beys with no repeating parts. HASBRO X PARTS are allowed!

Please be advised that this tournament will make use of the following optional rules in addition to, or in place of, rules listed in the Format Rulebook:

Own Finish
  • If a Beyblade is knocked-out into an Over Zone or Xtreme Zone
  • OR is launched directly into an Over Zone or Xtreme Zone
  • AND without making contact with the opposing Beyblade
Then the Battle ends, and the opponent receives 1 point. The Battle replays with the same Beyblades.

Alternative Launching Rule: Continuous Side Switching
  • Bladers will be stationed across from each other on the Left and Right sides of the BeyStadium. Which side each Blader assumes must be decided by fair means (ex. Judge’s coin flip/dice roll, or rock-paper-scissors), with the winner getting to pick their starting side. This orientation is inverted after each subsequent Battle.

Just make sure to bring 3 beyblade X beys, with no repeating parts. Everyone will get to play 6 rounds, win or lose you'll get to play them all.

We'll have an open free play area from 11 AM until tournament start time, so you'll be able to practise and chat with people about the tournament!
Is there a waitlist? Should we show up in case there's room?

Yes, you should show up, as there will most likely be room. Unfortunately (or fortunately in this case) there are normally no shows, which means about 5-10 people who sign up don’t actually show up. So feel free to show up. That’s how I entered my first tournament in October 2023 after all.
