BEYBLADE X - REVISED to be an unranked tournament so we can experiment with a ROD BAN. (This tournament WILL still count towards TEXAS rankings!!!)

- Challenge the gym leaders during the tournament to earn your gym badge. More information on this can be found at: https://www.szassegames.com/beyblade
Format: The format for this event is Swiss format 3 on 3. Each participant will play 5 rounds (6 if we have more than 32), and then the top 8 will compete in the finals, which will be DECK format. REVISED DECK RULE: If a switch is called, BOTH bladers must switch Bey's.
Time: Doors open at 11AM; come early to practise combos!
As the tournament will start promptly at NOON, please plan to arrive by 11:30 AM. Registration will close at 11:55 AM. Confirming your attendance on the WBO event page does not substitute for registration at the venue, and late comers cannot be added after the tournament begins. We expect to be done prelims by 4:00 and finals by 5:00.
Rules Overview:
- You will need three (3) official beyblade X beys with no repeating parts. HASBRO X PARTS are allowed!
POINT BREAKDOWNS!
- 1 Point for spinout
- 2 Points for knockouts (over finish)
- 2 Points for bursts
- 3 points for an Xtreme knockout
Please be advised that this tournament will make use of the following Ranked Clauses in addition to, or in place of, rules listed in the Format Rulebook:
Banlist Variation: Metal Needle Bit Ban
If you do not have your own Beyblade X beys yet, you will be able to rent a set at the event. This will be an additional $5 for the day. The beys must be returned after your match and picked up again when your next match is called.

This is because unfortunately a lot of people just decide not to show up and forget to de-register themselves from the tournament. So normally the cap is actually never reached even if it looks like it right now.
So if you are interested in competing, come over to the tournament! Make sure you arrive on time, because if the tournament has started by the time you get there, it would be too late to join. I and all of us are excited to see you there!

Thanks for hosting again Brynessa; it was a lot of fun! After a year of attending Beyblade X tournaments (starting with yours on 10/29/2023) I have finally won my first Houston, Texas tournament! Very poetic in my opinion.
For being only my second tournament I had an absolute blast! I can’t wait to see my name in the winning combos!
