It is definitely on the easy side. I think I read that when you get all the stars you can play as Luigi and the game/enemies are harder. I would play through it again if that is true.

The early parts of the game can be difficult.

The special galaxies can take quite a few tries to beat (SlingPod Galaxy springs to mind, as one of the earliest parts that can get tricky)

Plus you only have 3HP, which makes things quite hard at times.

Does it really need to be harder? Most difficulty settings for games just make things arbitrarily more difficult by raising numeric values. Mario doesn't really work like that.

Good thing that the game has Daredevil Comets.
If a Daredevil Comet is in orbit, when you play the level, you only have 1HP the entire time.
Anything will kill you in one hit.


Then theres Speedy Comets, which give you a time limit.

And Cosmic Comets, which make you race against a shadow Mario thats trying to get the star.

Agreed. There are some games I think are too easy, but from what I've read SMG isn't one of them.

Dude, Sam, whenever you come back, these guys are right. Don't base your knowledge upon soley the gameplay footage. Go read a good review to get better knowledge of the game. And if not that, then at least play the game and beat it.

Well, Daredevil Bouldergeist took me 5 tries, got the Star from him.

I'm at 44 stars.

I can't wait to open up the Trials Galaxies,
Since everyone is saying they're basically a set of "carp you, we're insanely hard" levels.

Of course, Luigi's game is the exact same, only you can jump higher, and the controls are a bit loose (Luigi slides a bit more, can run a bit faster)
