Well, maybe that title is a little much ...
With the announcement of a new Beyblade series coming this summer, the feeling here has been a lot more energetic lately. Also, BEYBLADE'S NOT DEAD! will be approaching soon and I feel it will be the best Beyblade event I've hosted so far, even though it will probably be the smallest (and most expensive ).
I know that updates on the wiki have been stagnant, and for that I apologize. The fact of the matter is I haven't actually had my Beyblades for ages, but my love stays alive. I am not particularly comfortable writing articles about Beyblades that I do not have access too. Thankfully, come BND! I will finally have my Beyblades back and will do my best to get a few articles written a week! Also, I will be getting all of the new items upon release so you can expect to see articles up about all of those fairly quickly.
Then there is our old friends at Ideal Collectables ... basically, an affiliation between Beywiki and Ideal is almost guaranteed. That means you can look forward to quicker reviews, great product support, and hopefully discounts for Beywiki members (I am fighting for this!).
Soon, you can expect to see a few upgrades to the graphics ... I will stick to the same colour scheme and design philosophy, but I think there is room to improve. I will also consider re-organizing the forums and making good on my original promise to make sure this site is not owned by myself alone, and appointing several members to the Beywiki.com Committee (don't call us, we'll call you).
The main page of the wiki is pretty terrible right now, so I will be revamping that along with more reviews, articles and editorials.
However, I can't do this alone. None of us can. Beywiki was designed to be a community project, and I don't feel we've been living up to the original idea. I know we are all adults with busy lives now, and we don't have the time to devote to this sort of thing like we used to. I understand that. However, together I am sure we can make this place better than OtC, better than Damashii, better than any Beyblade site that has preceded it.
We believed and Beyblade has returned. Now, let's do it justice and prepare Beyblade for a whole new generation.
