We now know that the tournament will definitely go ahead. We have one possible venue at the moment:
Location:
ExCeL
Royal Victoria Dock
London,
E16 1XL, UK
Your hosts:
Me (ChozenBlader)
TheGigsMeister
Judges:
Blitz
Gekiryu
The time of day and the specific date are still to be decided, but for any suggestions towards running the tourney, or if you want to apply to be a judge, say so here.
Tournament setup:
There will be a plastics division, MFB Division and HMS division. The winners will get prizes (but we do not know what the prizes will be as of yet). Also, there will be a free-play section as well, for those who want to test combos or simply blade for the sake of it.
The matches will run on the point system. [/b]
For the record, according to the rules, if you break your opponents blade, you win instantly (although I must stress, please don't try to do this on purpose)
There may be a small entrance fee to pay for the prize. The amount is undecided.
Feel free to suggest any ideas.
IMPORTANT: There will be a blacklist. If your name is added to it, you will not be allowed to attend the tourney. This is to prevent trouble makers from spoiling the event.
Also, please, if you can, bring a stadium with you. The more stadiums we have, the more battles we can have at one time. Please note: Only Takara stadiums are legal for competitive play.
You will be allowed to buy and sell beyblades at the tournament. Just make sure your prices aren't outrageous

What event will this be held at? I personally feel that the MCM will be busier.

Once again, it depends on whether people will be able to make it. I plan to wait until we (me and TheGigsMeister) have a definite attendance list, and then find out which date suits the most people.
How are you supposed to make a definate attendance list if you have no date?
We will get it next year. The tourney is set for 2009, and circumstances change. Any lists now would not be set in stone in any case.
I'm pretty much expecting that I'll be able to go. This sounds epic.
Man, I need some new beys. =O

You have plenty of time, don't worry

Yeah I guess. Seeing as MFB are reasonably new it'll be interesting to see if there are any cookie-cutter or overpowered builds that seem to be made at first.
I love to find ways of countering these, it takes forever sometimes though. Do MFB break often, will I need spares? =/

Cool, well then I'll hold off getting spares until I get lots of reports about breaks or until I get a break. =]
Should be getting one of each starter soon I think. =D
I find the launchers wear really quick But other than that everything seems ok.

ive cracked 2 bottoms and the weels get really messy and the launchers grip decresses over time
You will gradually gain spare parts from the likes of the re-shuffle and RBV packs anyway.
*Post needed to bump.* *EDIT EDIT*
If I turn up I will have various launchers and rip cords available for use and maybe some parts. So if anybody is short do not worry, just make sure I get them back XD.
I may be able to bring a friend or two but they won't be able to make the JapanEx lol. One of them may be in the Phillipines and the other has other commitments.
ONE more thing (my final edit on this post lol). When plans and date etc get sorted out I can place this tournament up on BeyUK as an update for you. Try and gain some more interest maybe. Let me know what you think about this idea.

Thanks Espio, advertising the tournament on BeyUK would be a great idea.
advertising on other sites would be a very good idea
You need to get this tournament as much publicity as possible. I suggest sticking up on Youtube and re-directing them to here. As well as other places that may come to mind later on =D. You will get maximum outcome through maximum effort =D.
Kool I may post some stuff on youtube page/Videos when we get some dates.
This what we (they) need to make this successful. There are enough of us here to make this happen. We will get more registrations for the forum and more interest in the tournament. Both sets of people gain from it =D.
Me and ChozenBlader will get to work on advertising this tournament through Youtube and other websites with high popularity among the Blading community.
I can sort out some stuff for my site.
An rotating advert
An update on my website every few weeks
Something along those lines.

Where abouts would I link to if I wanted to advertise this? I was thinking of putting something in my youtube channel...
EDIT: Also, let's talk setups. What kinda stuff would we have there? TVs displaying stuff, stadiums, stuff to sell? What exactly? =/
